So happy to see that you finally reacted to them! I always always love your reactions so I was so so excited to see this reaction from you. The reason why you see the earliest albums dated 2003 was because that when Big Mama debuted with YG (same agency as Big Bang & Blackpink!). The group is known for focusing on its members' singing abilities rather than their looks. However they disbanded in 2012 (after 10 years together) and are now reuniting and back with new music in 2021 with a song you just hear at the end “One Day More”. Basically they the pioneer of Big Bang and Blackpink and the R&B legends of Korea. They resided under YG entertainment for their first 3 albums however they left due to poor promotions/lack of opportunities, going on to sign with Manwaldang to release their last two albums.

There's an image of ugly but talented singers debuting in Korea. It's because of the debut song breakaway. The music video was about this. Beautiful models lip-syncing on the stage and Big Mama singing hard behind the stage. The music video brought sensations from Korean society and was a huge hit with the music video. After that, yg became an agency that raised real singers, not lip syncers with pretty faces.
