  • Drone flying over Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada provided some unique aerial views of this pretty city even with the wildfires providing smoke. My drone views start with the Prairie Lily on the South Saskatchewan River and ended with a great view of the Delta Hotel that was packed as you can see on this Saturday. I have driven the northern rockies many times in Canada and never visited this city until this 5-week canadian trip. I was happy to stay here and wake up to the views my drone is showing us today.
    I hope you enjoy and subscribe to this RUclips drone channel while seeing my travels from an aerial view above nature, towns and cities in the UK, Ireland, Europe, Australia, US, Canada, and several islands @ / jamesbebop . Or please visit my photo website with photos of 49 countries/islands, all 50 states and all but one province in Canada that I could not drive through at www.JGlowacki.com . I love to drive throughout the world whether on the right or left with either left-hand steering or right-hand steering and of course I have become accustomed to using a stick-shift with both hands :) I truly enjoy the great food and discussions with locals where I have been blessed to travel. Included on this channel are some driving and snorkeling videos and even a couple bike rides I recorded.
    You can also see my beginning drone videos looking at 2016 dates when I filmed in safe nature areas. I practiced how to crash safely, how to fly with three propellers and how to ground the drone and drive to it. I practiced in snow, rain and extreme cold to make sure I understood the drones limitations before I went to the big cities. I handle a drone like I do a gun and I truly hope others do the same.
    Please share your thoughts with me; even if they are not easy to read, I need to know how I am meeting your expectations 😊
    Thank you,
    James

      Is this Smoke from burning wood/coal for heating houses or traffic, or something else?

      This was the worst forest fire in the area I know of - driving into Alaska from here had roads with near zero visibility and fire that I could see. It lasted all summer.

    Wow I want to visit Canada so bad. I live in Denver since I was a teen im from Chicago. I want to drive from Vancouver to Winnipeg and see Ragina, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton and many other small cities. Want to see how my Canadian Brothers and Sisters live

      I hope you do have a chance to take this beautiful trip one day. I traveled every part of Canada I could drive to or ferry to in 2018. The area you want to see is truly beautiful especially if you can stop and enjoy a little nature on your trip. I was supposed to film Calgary in April this year and that was changed by current conditions. All other cities you mention are on this channel. When I filmed these the end of 2018 I still had the smoke from the big wildfire that year so the smoke was prevalent. Enjoy 😎

    Looks like all the older buildings were torn down to make way for large, modern buildings...

    • @JamesBeBop
      @JamesBeBop  3 года назад +1

      Yes, and they call it progress. While cities that do this are growing we still lose a part of that beautiful era that helped the city to survive. At least here they did not build all square buildings and newer architecture can have flavor when the developer will pay for it 😎

      @@JamesBeBop Although the city has a beautiful setting, the downtown seems soulless, other than Bessboughro, non-descript buildings.

    To be honest Vancouver and all BC towns are so pretty in the world and Alberta got some pretty towns 😍but Manitoba and Saskatchewan and Ontario’s Windsor Kitchener 🤒
    Montreal is cool and same as Ontario’s atmosphere 😤

      The view you see in the video is mainly of from the south downtown area on the West side of the city. Housing in Saskatoon has expanded to the North and East of the city in the last 30 years. In the mid-1970s the population was around 150,000 and now in 2020 is 300,000 plus. The oldest neighbourhood is "Nutana" which is on the East side of the river. It still has some of the older homes in Saskatoon.

      What you see here is literally just the downtown core, theres lots of homes considering the population of saskatoon is now clearing 300k, also whoever said it was smog um saskatoon doesnt get smog it was smoke from massive forest fires and its been way worse than that before unfortunately

    Why the bad music?

    • @JamesBeBop
      @JamesBeBop  4 года назад +3

      It is very rare for me to hear a beautiful harp solo in a great orchestra so to answer your question I truly like this song. Maybe it does not fit well with the video; however, I felt with all the gloom this area was experiencing from the wild fires that they needed a little joy so I even feel it fits this song on this day. May I suggest you mute my choice for music and listen to something you enjoy or perhaps this that I also enjoy: ruclips.net/video/YBT4sfxj4V4/видео.html :) Good luck to you.
