Grumman Goose - Whale Channel

I will try my best to capture "the best of moments" through out the Summer of 2010 Goose season on the B.C. Coast. I hope this video helps the curious folks looking for a peek inside the goose. Thanks for all your comments. More to follow I hope.

In 1972 @ CYVR south side, I used to fuel IOL. In those days we seldom used the four letter ident. Vancouver had half the population as now(2021)and a thriving commercial fleet. Along with HUZ, IOL was owned and flown by McMillan Blodell. Now, Weyerhaeuser.

Back in July of 2008 I flew to a fishing lodge in one of these with a pilot named Pete. Very nice man. I was very sad to find out that he tragically lost his life in a crash just a few months later. Beautiful aircraft!

The closest I can get is my 1/5th scale radio controlled model aircraft ...Maybe I'll be lucky enough to ride in one of these one day ...
