Insane! I tip my hat to you. SnS has great potential, but damn, I didn’t expect sns TA would deal so much as to kill before EJ! Definitely well deserved for such a masterful run!
Bro, congratulations! This run is freaking amazing. I'm in the path of maining all the MHW weapons and the SnS is the seventh one I tried so far. I just felt in love with this weapon, it seems to be pretty simple at the beggining but later on you realize is the most versatile weapon in the game and one with the best mobility movesets. Thank you for sharing this video, you are inspiring me to practice and learn about this weapon even more to get as good as you one day :). And for sure, I learned a lot from the video too.
I’ve commented before on your ATV speedrun and seeing this inspired me to start to try speedrunning as well (on Alatreon). From using your video as a general guide, I achieved sub-7 (non-TA) on this run with SnS after grinding it out. I’m planning to continue doing runs. This may not be the first time your videos are going to help me out lol. Thanks for these :)
No problem man! I'm happy that my runs inspired you to start speedrunning. If you have any questions about the matchup feel free to ask and I'll try and help out as much as I can.
@@Paturicko Thanks! I’ll ask a question about the ATV matchup though. I noticed there are many nuances to her attack patterns, especially what she does after her spinning stab move. Is what she does after said move bound by RNG? I do know that some moves are done depending on ice armor. Other than that, I’m also struggling on positioning PRush with the head during the rotating ice beam. Is there any visualization to aid you in doing so? If not I may just have to practice more lmao. Anyways, thanks in advance. You’re being way more helpful than you need to be xD.
@@stepple3 As for which moves change depending on ice armor, I'm actually not sure lol, you might be talking about aura levels because moves do change based off of aura. ATV has 3 aura levels, level 0, level 1, and level 2. ATV starts off the hunt with level 1, then goes to level 2 later. Usually you'll only see level 1 and 2 in a typical SnS hunt so i'll only be referring to its level 1 and 2 moveset. Here's a tweet that helps visualize aura levels and gives some other info as well: twitter.com/AsteriskAmpers1/status/1311985649772306434?s=20&t=QnmKy1UVGFMGm1cg-SZuwA When enraged, if ATV does no tail pokes before her spinning stab move, it'll follow up with the ice puddle move which is one of its best openings. If ATV does one tail poke before the spinning poke, it'll follow up with the ice puddle move. If it does two tail pokes before spinning ATV won't follow up with anything. When unenraged, if ATV does no tail pokes before the spinning stab it will still use the ice puddle move right after. But if it does one tail poke and then spins, then it won't follow up with anything. As for doing PR on the rotating ice beam/sweeping ice beam, landing your hits on the head is mainly just practice, but I would suggest learning the tells for the ice beam so that you can prepare to punish them. I can't go over all the tells because it again depends on aura level, but the notable tells are: a unique backwards hop, ATV charging straight past you and then doing the ice beam. Learning ATV is mainly just practicing a lot and looking at many different speedruns for reference. Hope this was helpful :)
After slinger burst, while doing leaping slash don't move the left stick. If you don't push the left stick forward, your leaping slash will automatically adjust its distance to lock on to the nearest body part.
Dang. I just started playing the base game for the first time last week and it's been fun but I wish that weapons didn't have just one attack or one combo that was worth using and you spam literally only that thing practically every single fight. Wishing there was more variety. Still it's pretty fun
You could be Swinging a Small Sword, and reach a Greatsword, in terms of damage per Swing. But now SnS, players are being thinned out in MHW, 18 SnS players 16 were Supports which made the Hunt unnecessarily long, Why? We were Compensating for a Missing Player. Aka a Corner Chugger.
That damage is absolutely disgusting great run

CB like to pretend he’s the most complex, but we SnS mains know the truth.
I had a harder time learning SNS than CB 😂.
The stun with slinger burst was masterful. Great run.
Nice!! Charge Slash ~ Falling Bash at 1:55 into breaking the head with slinger burst was sick. GG!!
Thank you! If I had positioned a bit better I could've landed all hits of pr on the head, but unfortunately it's still a bit tricky for me.
Bro took elegance to a whole new level with the track
This small sword deal more damage than my great sword
Damn smooth run alatreon
I leave my like here dude
thanks!!!
I just got this game yesterday, it's crazy to see what people can do. Nice moves!

@@Paturicko It was! Thank you very much!
@@Paturicko After a little grinding I landed on a 7’13 on ATV. It’s a bit slow, but it’s a good start, I guess.
Nice run bro
Damn how did I miss your run. Nice one!
Thank you! Rewatching your run inspired me to try alatreon ta again.
Great run bro! The strats to trigger a stun and knock him out of the sky is so creative!
Tysm man!
So fast…! I surprised!
Nicerun👏
1:09 how do you exactly do leaping slash after slinger but has short distance like this?
After slinger burst, while doing leaping slash don't move the left stick. If you don't push the left stick forward, your leaping slash will automatically adjust its distance to lock on to the nearest body part.
@@Paturicko i tried that too but in training area and doesn't work, so it will work while near a monster's part?
@@aamaagii Yeah it will only work while near a monster part, you should be able to it on the training pole as well.
Good taste in music
Nice run
nice run
This was so god damn brutal, it belongs on the Hub, not RUclips.
Been playing world since release and I was today years old when I found out stone slinger ammos dealt stun damage.
How do you get that charge attack? Not the one that launches you to the sky, but the when you do after jumping back
Bro, learn the weapon.
Watch a guide in youtube. You will uncover true depth of EVERY weapom in this game.
my bro didnt even let him do esca

Yeah true, a lot of other speedrunners have that issue with sword and shield in this game too
@@Paturicko I can definitely understand that
i would love to join your sns course if possible✌
Ouahhhh
Idk if you still read these comments but I have a question. Does slinger bust into perfect rush count as a draw attack?
Slinger burst into perfect rush doesn't count as a draw attack. I'm pretty sure advancing slash is the only sns move that counts as one.
Nice run, but I don't understand why you have ice attack lvl 6 if your weapon has draco element. Is it due to an effect of Alatreon?
Ice attack lv 6 doesn't do anything along with crit draw lv 3. It's just gonna be on your set by default when building for frostcraft.
Hey got some questions

Thanks! No plans for a sub 3'30 right now lol but maybe I'll try again in the future.
Wow, i never know that sns can deal so much damage. Its really much better than IG

Just recently started using SnS. This was super inspiring and amazing 🥹🙏🏼
