Pre video comment: I love Stardew Valley. I picked it up when it first released and have kept my first farm since that time. Meaning, all the cool new maps, lots of the new features, potential love interests etc I have missed out.
I don't play the game so much anymore, but when I am in the mood to I usually get a years worth played. That year usually consists of a total farm revamp in the winter (just for a change of layout) so the farm pretty much looks after itself in the summer (some small mods used). Allows me, Abbey and the kids to enjoy feeding the chickens.
Never thought Jon would play this, I remember Dan thinking it was a boring grind. I find it wholesome, funny, and just so relaxing. Love Stardew Valley so much, so thankful to Concerned Ape for bringing it to us.

Things are expensive because if they were priced a reasonable price then there'd be nothing to spend the stupidly large amounts of money you make off of farming on. The early game is rough but by mid-summer of the first year you'll be rolling in gold

Little tip: Dont sell things such as wood, coal, stone, fiber, etc.
Later on the game you will need them for certain house updrages and to build more structures, and you will regret selling them.
I also want to mention that fishing on night or while its raining can open up to different kinds of fish. You may wanna try it out, since these are ussually worth more money than regular sardines and anchovies.

Its gonna take a while for him to get to the point in which gold ores appear, and 2 gold ores arent actually gonna matter once you reach that point. Its just a little free cash on early game.

It's definitely an 'I'm enjoying this! Wait, I've been playing HOW MANY hours?' game. It's so relaxing, with so much more depth than you'd think in terms of the characters and their stories... honestly one of my favourites. It's made by one person (doing all the art, music, coding etc himself), and he's such a stand-up guy. Just after the game released he would personally look at and fix people's saves if something went wrong. Has created free massive content updates, too. I've bought the game for so many friends and they became just as obsessed as me 😁
