I was at that maid cafe she worked at a couple times. She was my maid each time. Met the ladies in Dallas for the Oct 2022 show. I showed her both photos, she was shocked at first. Then got teary eyed, out of nowhere I got a huge hug from her. I told her way back then she would make it big, she remembered that. I got a lot of free merch signed by her, each said thank you. Told me anytime they come back to Texas, I can see them for free. I got the letter from their agency to prove it. Shes very kind, gracious, caring, truly loves her fans. Goofy, silly, laughs at absolutely nothing at times..lol. But she's extremely intelligent, very determined. And has stayed humble. And to me she's a very underrated lyricist. Looking forward to seeing them perform again.

The man whose voice appeared late in the video, t-shinji, is a legend in the fandom. He's translated literally hundreds of articles, interviews, tv and radio appearances, and provided context to help foreigners better understand the band. He's never sought thanks or notoriety. It was very cool to see him appear in this documentary.
That's right. Miku's real name is Noguchi Mika.
The family name is Noguchi, and according to Japanese custom, it comes first.
I've written it a few times before and I'll never get tired of repeating it and emphasizing the statement at the end of this video. Music has always been an essential companion in my life, and for 5 years now, Band-Maid has been the biggest and most important part of it. And this is thanks to this small, yet so big and admirable person. THANK YOU Miku! 🙇🏻♂🕊

Saw them live twice last year. Miku is the voice of the band and despite her limited English that does not stop her at all on their US tours. The fans love her.

Miku is a little ball of energy, the strategic genius behind Band-Maid. It is not just that she founded the band or the concept of using the maid cafe culture, but she has been the tireless ambassador for the band, the continuing inspiration for the band, and the one who has encouraged all the others to develop their engagement with the fans. Saiki in particular has grown under Miku's influence and example. Since Miku took up rhythm guitar, Saiki was the only non-musician in the group ... and so she has followed in Kobato's footstepps -- a singer who has learned an instrument. Saiki has debuted on stage with piano, and she has also been video'd playing an acoustic guitar.
She pitched the idea to the label, i mean.... come on what a go getter.
She was cooking before she left her home town and kept getting better.

Great reaction and saving the most important for last is why there are 3 parts for Miku. Thanks for continuing to react to Band-Maid. Also, hope you didn't get too affected by Beryl. I've got a niece that lives in Galveston and she had to leave, just to be safe, but turns out where she lives didn't get a lot of serious damage.
I have collected many additional releases by the band members- Mochi To Cheese, Unchain etc and have all three singles. It's band made history. They went to Mexico first because most views of Thrill came from that country.
Miku is a very driven and busy Pigeon!
On them covering their eyes while they were playing, that was a joke, but at the same time partly true in how they prepare of r their live performances. Since many times at their shows the lights are turned down, they need to still be able to play without being able to clearly see their instruments.

By the way, Miku's voice is mezza-soprano. And she has a great range, more than Saiki. In the song "Alone" this is noticeable, her voice drops lower and rises above Saiki's vocals.
Miku is a fantastic singer, Saiki's voice just has that hard rock edge.
BTW - the song you heard when they mention Kanami is called Turn Me On (live). It's back on youtube, but not on their channel

Morning Musume has a connection to both band-maid and babymetal. From band-maid of course miku finding and loving them and from babymetal one of their former avengers (rotating backup dancers) riho sayashi.
I'm assuming the guy band you are talking about was Maximum The Hormone. They are awesome, but they are a little on the strange side. They tend to mix a lot of genres in their music, but they tend to stay in the punk/metal area. The guitarist and Drummer are brother and sister. I love band-maid, but I think Maximum The Hormone is my favorite Japanese band so far that I've found.
