Hey Alexa i've had this awesome idea. The nomination process for this years Hollywood Walk of Fame inductees are already in but anyone can vote. Next year all the Maidiacs should nominate BAND-MAID to be inducted. The terms are, the nominee must agree to their nomination, have been active in their respective field of entertainment for at least 5yrs & donated to charitable causes. That's an awesome idea isn't it?😁

From Japan A syllable is a sound in a word, and in Japan it is a combination of vowels and consonants. There are only five vowels, but 14-15 consonants. Shinji says that in Japan, written texts are usually spoken with 15 syllables, but Miku can write them with 8 syllables, mainly omitting vowels. He also says that this makes the sound beautiful and suits the song. Miku writes wonderful lyrics without changing the meaning, being conscious of this.

I had a file I wrote with input from pohojisan and a few others but I can't find that one at the moment, but I do have this file: Band-Maid and other Japanese bands will intersperse english in their lyrics to help make the song flow better, and sometimes just to make it sound cool to a Japanese audience. Writing rock music lyrics in Japanese is actually very difficult with the way the Japanese language is structured. Miku, the primary lyricist for the band, is actually quite accomplished at it and is considered a poet by many in Japan. She uses a particular dialect of Japanese then further contracts it by dropping certain syllables. It's understandable to a native Japanese speaker, "barely" at times, but it is understandable. I can't remember the precise dialect she uses but in Japan it is considered, "rough or lower class", however it allows her to write some of the most beautiful lyrics that Saiki the primary vocalist can sing, and all of the fans can understand.
