These girls are friends before they're band mates. Actually, I take that back - they're sisters before they're band mates. It shows in their performances. They are all good souls.
They are all so unassuming each with their own individual, understated elegance... and then they come up with such power and finesse when they play. Band-Maid as underrated as they are, are an important musical force that the industry and music fans worldwide will have to one day, reconcile! It's hard to stand by and wait for that day to arrive.
Miku's cat Tora (Tiger) was formerly Saiki's kitten. He has a propensity to claw or bite if the situation is uncomfortable for him. Miku has a higher tolerance for that. Misa was just having a meal and deciding the best way to open a couple of boiled eggs. It's so cool how these late 20s-early 30s women love being silly like kids. That is part of Kawaii though - the traditional Japanese feminine ideal of childlike cuteness. So it is natural for them. A couple of more serious stories: In the middle of a concert, they're about to start the next song when Saiki calls a halt. She has seen an audience member fall down in the crowd. She goes over to the part of the stage nearest where they were and asks if they are okay and if they need medical help. They assure her they're okay and she's ready to rock again. Saiki has to project toughness and command respect onstage. But she is really a tender hearted soul. Her emotions she pours out in song are the real thing. And this is about when she herself needed help: It's an outdoor concert, and time for Saiki to walk across the grass to the stage. One problem - Saiki has a strong phobia about insects. Especially of them jumping on her. And that is what she is seeing. Grasshoppers jumping on people as they walk over the grass. Alan calls out to her to tell her it's time. Her eyes widen and she backs up. Akane sees that and realizes the issue. So she tells her just wait, she will come help. And she does: Goes to Saiki, squats down facing away, and invites her to take a piggyback ride. And takes her to the stage. They really do care for each other.
@@torispace13 - The lead guitarist for Aldious also plays one of the "mother-of-pearl" Zemaitis's often. Miku's first two guitars were Rickenbackers - a model 620 and later a 360. Zematis contacted her and asked that she and Kanami drop by their offices and check out their guitars. These are both spectacular and high quality. Kanami went and was polite, but had her heart set on PRS. Miku was entranced. She liked the looks, but loved the playing action. I'm not sure what deal they worked out, but now she has any Zemaitis she wants (she owns at least a dozen now) and they have Miku showcasing their guitars onstage. Oh, and did you see Miku's "Cluppo" videos? The first one involved her playing I think 6 different guitars while doing 24 changes of guitar in one song. And now they make her signature "Flappy Pigeon" that she !helped design, about $5500 for the lucky few who can buy one. It is a symbiotic relationship.
During the online acoustic they have a commentary track and they reminded me of my wife's sisters; giving each other a hard time in a fun, loving way. As others have said, they seem very down to earth and good natured.
You should check a few interviews as they are even cuter and funnier in those. Here's a few links to get you started. BAND-MAID interview - Music Gold Rush #73 & #74 [English CC] -- ruclips.net/video/74FTyNSswqA/видео.html This one is an older interview but still great. Love your videos Tori, this is the first time I have seen one on this particular device I have so I can comment, keep up the great job and thanks for your time.

These really were so darned cute! I actually like some bands more as offstage people than for their music, but fortunately that's not the case here lol. However, if you want some backstage antics that are decidedly **not** kawaii, I can recommend a certain Rolling Stones "Rockumentary" about their 1971 world tour. It's name includes a very rude word, so I'll refrain from spelling it out here, but you can google it. Just be aware that it is about as opposite to this as you can possibly imagine, and will make you wonder how they survived until now haha.
@@torispace13 Think the building is "The Sagrada Familia" basílica. (Roman Catholic church). ..It might not be...so if anyone can confirm that it would be good.
The Maid's are more like friends and sisters than just band-mates! That's part of what makes this band special!
It really is! I loved watching this it made me love how close they are and kept me smiling the whole time
Besides making great music they truly have fun together. Just another reason Band-Maid is AWESOME!
They really do! I love seeing these moments 🥰💖

It truly does!! 💖💖💖
3:14 I love it when Kanami's face lights up when another girl shows her affection.
💖🥰 it really does
Tori never forget your name in Japanese means "Bird". So small pigeon Miku would love you.🙂
Deja vu?🤔
🥰💖🙏🏻 Thank you I won’t forget 😍

Got your new t-shirt! Look Kawai! Play Bad Ass Rock and Roll! PO! Around a portrait of the Maids! I'd hang that poster/ painting all day!😎🤘🤘🤘

YAY. The Kawaii 5 PO are back again to capture our hearts.🙂
They really are!!! 💖💖💖
With "Kawaii 5 PO" you've outdone yourself Gary. It got a guffaw out of me. Then again I'm pretty full of guffaw so that may be easy to do.

Oooh they will just wait till they tour again!!!
At 3:49, iirc they're making Akane say the multiplication tables because she's notoriously bad at math.
Awww! To adorable 🥰

That beautiful shell covered Zemaitis guitar is very expensive one. Miku used it in Bubble MV.
Really?! I’ll have to check out that MV
