Das kriecht einen unter die Haut. Egal ob "Feind" oder Freund, mitleid hat man mit allen. Erst wenn ein Tier oder ein Mensch tot ist, fühlt man sich schlecht, weil man hätte etwas ändern können. Ich will keinen Krieg und ich hoffe ich darf in Frieden leben. Die Serie ist echt toll und man bekommt richtig das "feeling".

Finde es gut, dass auch mal jemand die Seite der deutschen Soldaten im 2. WK zeigt. Die meisten bekannten Serien und Filme zum zweiten Weltkrieg zeigen immer die amerikanische Seite des Krieges. Klar ist das Thema immer heikel, aber auf jeder Seite wurde Geschichte geschrieben. Finde eure Serie echt gut! Allein das ganze Equipment ranzukriegen war bestimmt ne Menge Arbeit. :D

da die meisten ww2 filme amerikanisch sind wird darin die amerikanische seite des krieges in filmen eigentlich grundsätzlich so dargestellt wie es die amerikaner gern gehabt hätten, mit minimalen Verlusten und 2 3 Amerikanern die dann eine ganze kompanie oder noch mehr lässig über den haufen schießen. und as ganze wird dann auch noch geglaubt in und sogar außerhalb der usa. well done

Endlich mal eine gute Darstellung wie es hätte sein Können.Grosses Lob an die Schauspieler und vor allem sehr naturgetreu die Uniform. DA braucht man schon ne Zeit das alles ranzuschaffen.Ganz gute Handlung.Meinen größten Respekt.
Ich finde, alle Folgen sind sehr gut gelungen. Man kann sich dadurch gut in die ganzen Situationen und Gefühle der Soldaten hineinversetzen🔝
Nachdem ich gestern den 8. Teil gesehen habe muss ich jetzt nochmals alle Teile von Verstaubt sind die Gesichter ansehen, denn PLW ihr macht das richtig super und am besten finde ich, daß ihr keine Hass gegen irgendwelche Fronten säht...

Ich denke, dass solche Serien oder Dokus oder Filme, vor allem dafür da sind um zu zeigen, wie scheiße Krieg eigentlich ist (für die Soldaten). Und dass habt ihr finde ich hier sehr gut rübergebracht. Danke. Sehr Gut.
Es gibt im Mainstream bereits genügend Filme, die zeigen "wie scheiße" Krieg ist.
Das interessante hierbei ist eher die deutsche (!) Perspektive der Frontsoldaten, jenseits von Politik und Ideologie.

Toller Film. Man kann sich in die Soldaten richtig reinversetzen. Er zeigt auf der einen Seite die Kameradschaft der Soldaten untereinander aber auch die Grausamkeiten und die Sinnlosigkeit dieses Krieges.

j hbhhijkb njbikjn Warum sagen alle immer dass es ein sinnloser Krieg war? Der erste Weltkrieg war Sinnlos. Der zweite war komplett logisch. Die eine Seite war eine überzeugte Ideologie und die andere Seite musste sich natürlich wehren. Logischster Krieg den es je gab, meiner Meinung nach.
Es war ein Krieg, der hätte nicht sein müssen! Wer an diesem Kriegsausbruch schuld war möchte ich nicht beurteilen, denn ich behaupte:" Ein Krieg hat mehrere Väter!"
Die Art des Filmes finde ich sehr gut gemacht und die deutschen Soldaten waren nicht alle Monster und Mörder! Viele haben auch nur Befehle ausgeführt!
Dank an meine Großväter, dass sie in der Wehrmacht gedient haben!
Immer wieder sehenswert! Wie sehr ich diese Liebe zum Detail in dieser Serie liebe!

Pros:
-camerawork
-editing
-uniforms
-sound effects
-realism on what’s going on
Cons:
-None that I can see
I'd say maybe the impossibly close engagement distances. This entire fight takes place within like a 50m square area. Neither side with a platoon sized force like this would have let each other get that close in open combat like that except in extreme and rare cases, one side would have spotted and opened fire on each other long before it happened here. At least upon running into each other like that one side would have fallen back and regrouped/surrendered, though that's really nitpicking at this point. Plus you wouldn't really have a movie to watch if they filmed a fight at a realistic engagement distance, the two sides would have been too far away from each other to really see anything. General tactics on the Wehrmacht side were pretty good, though, the MG was set up to cover the advancement of the rest of the platoon like how they were usually utilized, though each unit probably would have been equipped with more 34's/42's overall, sometimes more than one per fireteam. This entire production is quite good overall. I'd also add there's a little too much soundtrack going on. The sounds of battle itself is always an ideal soundtrack for war movies.
The realism isn't all that great. There are a few pretty glaring errors that stood out although there are probably more:
- The formation that they approach the wood isn't right for the terrain.
- The MG is loaded with the belt on upside down and as soon as it has been put into position (in an open field even though there is a wood only 30m behind them) to cover the advance into the woods another soldier walks in front of it making it redundant.
- Also, I'm not convinced that soldiers would wear field caps or that an officer would wear his service cap when attacking a position.
Still, not a bad effort on a very limited budget!

One thing I love about shows like this is that they portray the Germans as humans. Although they were fighting for horrible things, most were forced to do it and despised it. The saying “the victors write history” has sadly shadowed all Germans as evil hive mind Nazis, and many people still believe that today. Shows like these do a wonderful job of showing that the Germans were still human. I am lucky this popped onto my recommendations. My cousin, and I have subscribed, and I’d love to see content like this in the future. Also greetings from Mississippi.

Did they? Look, Soviets lost ~22 millions dead, and only 7 of them was military, rest was civilian people. Nazi left noone alive, villages burned down with all of inhabits. Some where imprisoned to death-camps, where they was left for medical experiments, or new chemicals tests. And each one they''ve killed "were still human". Ofcourse, I belive there were "nice german guys", can I feel sorry for them? They've killed 2 times more civilians (it was only women and kids, for every men over 12yo gone army) then solders.

This is... a truly high quality production. Uniforms, weapons, and even the acting is superb. We are a few up here in Norway, who play a bit of airsoft games, and we are dwelling into WWII styles these days. Taken me a while, but got my German uniform complete, with MP40, P38 and MG42. There is a chance I may buy a Zundapp 750cc with sidewagon soon in mint condition and in future project, build a Kübelwagen replica.
Anyways, great work! Will be watching!

Auch beim 4mal schauen fällt mir auf das die Schauspieler von Degen und Erich es echt drauf haben sie verkörpern die Rolle am besten die sie spielen wobei die anderen auch gut sind 💪

Strictly speaking, Germany hadn't 'lost' the war - they agreed to a ceasefire based on the promise of a post-war agreement based on President Wilson's 14-Point Plan; however, by the time they had withdrawn and discharged their soldiers, and gone to Versailles, 'the Allies' made all the demands - i.e. the 14-point plan was ignored. Meanwhile, Britain had a naval blockade on Germany until May 1919 (or even July 1919, I can't remember) - putting extra pressure on Germany to agree to all Versailles demands (this blockade led to ca. 1 million combined deaths from starvation in Germany and Austria).
An excellent book to explain the history of the region, particularly 1900-1939, is "The War that had many Fathers", by Gerd Schultze-Rhonhof.

If only that had been the prevailing attitude among the warring nations of that time, maybe we could have avoided repeating the same mistake twenty years later.
