This video allowed me to breathe a sigh of relief that I’m not the only one who’s baby would rather play with food than eat it. As a first time mum who looks at Instagram a little too much, I felt quite inadequate that my son wasn’t eating organic kale salad on the back of a unicorn. This video is so realistic. We bottle feed too. Thank you for posting! xx

This is one of the most realistic feeding schedules I've seen on RUclips. From the different locations of where he eats to the amount of milk that he receives. The negative comments is part of the reason why so many moms sink into postpartum depression so bad bc of the negativity. Learn to uplift and if you believe she is wrong tell her in a loving way but don't bash her for being a caring mom who took time out of her day to help other moms. Shame on you. Thank you for this video. P.S. My son doesn't keep his bib on the entire time of feeding either. Lol.

I’m incredibly disappointed with the comment section. I watched this video for inspiration because I am a first time mom to an 8 month old. None of us do 2 things the same. This woman is feeding her baby the best way she knows how and he is clearly doing just fine. He is happy and healthy and that is all that matters. Food before 1 is just for fun and it is getting him into a routine, expanding his palette and getting him used to chewing and digesting different foods. Do not tell this mother she is lazy or doing things wrong because that is incredibly unnecessary and couldn’t be further from the truth. Thank you for sharing this video and I hope that your baby continues to thrive and grow.

For everyone saying the baby is drinking too much milk and not eating enough “home cooked meals”.... babies main source of nutrition before a Year is breastmilk or formula! Food before 1 is just for fun. Some babies aren’t even interested in food until later on. You actually aren’t even supposed to introduce solids until baby is sitting up un assisted so y’all look dumb af! Also, pre made formula is good in the fridge for 24 hours. How do you all know she’s giving the milk cold anyways? (Not that there’s anything wrong with that, some babies actually prefer their milk cold) she could have cut the warming out for time saving purposes. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I'm a new mom for an 8 months old baby. What I really know that each mom, baby, and doctors are different. For example still doctors are don't agree with each other about giving baby water before 6 month old or not. Another thing about feeding baby at the age of 4 or feeding him at the age of 6.. So what I mean that we cannot blame or argue any mom about how she feed her baby the way makes him happy and healthy.
By the way I'm still giving my baby 120ml milk for 4 - 5 times a day. My doctor point is if the baby eating nicely no need to increase the amount of milk and that amount is what he really only need.

Her baby looks perfectly healthy and I garentee she has a doctor who regularly checks up on him, as far as a cold bottle goes sometimes it works great for teething babies and helps with swollen gums. Also people need to stop judging her, for real garentee you she is way better of a mom than someone who clearly neglects their children. Her baby is a healthy weight and has no signs of neglect or abuse. She is a great mother no matter what you judgemental people have to say about her, keep your head up mama

Do u warm the milk before giving it to him? Im considering buying the pitcher instead of always mixing the formula but usually if my baby doesn’t drink her milk I pop it in the fridge and wait for her next feeding, then I put it in hot water. So if I was to buy this pitcher would I need to warm it up every feeding ?? Mind that my baby is very inpatient when it comes to food and it takes a while to warm the milk. Would this be a good match for her?????

It has a mixer in it, turn it to mix before each bottle then warm your bottle and feed. Your baby is such a happy little cutie. I am so happy to see another mum do things similar to me. I am a working mum (started a new job when bub was 2 and half months old). I didn’t have enough breastmilk supply so I had to give my bub formula. He was so happy with it. We have a similar routine to what you do. Plus my bub is in daycare during the day while me and hubby are at work. Don’t be discouraged with these “perfect” mums on the comment section. Geez who has time to prep and cook each meal and make warm milk every time the baby needs. There is nothing lazy about what you do. I have pre made baby food and keep in the freezer. Just heat up and feed the baby. Its so easy after a day of work. So many people judged me and said bad things to my face about me giving formula, going to work and not making his meals fresh each time. But If i gave a sh*t about those I’d be miserable. You keep doing what you do hun. You are an awesome mum and your baby is happy and healthy. Thats all that matters ☺️

I just wondering, is it different the formula milk here in Indonesia (Asia) & there? In here, we can't make in the morning and use it for the entire day.
If the baby want to drink, we make it that time. Because the milk cant last long, only 2 - 3 hours. If more than that, the nutrition inside the milk will gone. Thats what the instruction said. Correct me if im wrong.

As a first time mom this video is something similar in what I do and I’m glad you popped up on my recommended section. I’ve seen other moms doing WAY EXTRAAAA to the point where they are giving there babies toast, eggs, yogurt, ice cream, etc....it makes me feel like I’m doing such a bad job but in reality I don’t want my baby to choke on any foods like that 😔 thank you mama bear for posting this video *new subscriber* ❤️

People are nuts and I felt like you did too. I thought I was inadequate for not giving him organic kale with chickpea and sauteed mushrooms. LMAO. I mean to each his own but their babies they have their whole lives to learn to eat other adult foods. I just started using these little mixers but gerber to get him into some more textures (he's 8 months also)
She is doing in this video exactly what I do and the same times even! and going from the comments were not the only 2 with the schedule exactly the same lol! I let him eat mango and banana out of a teether, but when it comes to other foods I've let him try scrambled eggs and some other little tastes of what I eat.. but all that extra crap is not necessary! Keep up the good work all the Mama's!

Well there is baby lead wearing and a lot of moms believe in that. I don’t think that route is wrong or extra. Just their method.
I do a little of both, purées and things like avocado in the baby food or oatmeal and bananas, yogurt is super healthy for them too. My 8 month old loves scrambled eggs mixed in with purées too.
Also, they recommend starting high allergy foods around 6 months now too, as opposed to waiting until 1 year. It’s suppose to help stop a food allergy before it begins.
Nobody is doing a bad job, to each their own. But baby will be ok, give those little guys more credit! They will let you know when they are ready for those kinda of foods.

You might want to reread your formula . You can store it in the refrigerator for no more than 24 hours (if your baby hasn’t had any) after 2 hours not refrigerated you toss it or if your baby has had the bottle .

Probably the most realistic routine I’ve seen on RUclips. Babies are human beings, just like you have days where you want to eat certain things and avoid others, they’re the same. Some days my 7 month old relies heavily on milk, others she eats like 6 meals a day! I just listen to what she wants. She’s very moody with food too. Sometimes she loves fruit, other days she loves eggs and cheese haha. She used to be absolutely in love with baby cereal and now she refuses to even look at it 😂
All these hate comments make no sense and it’s clear none of them are mothers because if you were a mother you would know just how difficult it is and how different babies are.

  • @niecey2908

formula lasts 24 hours in the refrigerator as long as you put it in the fridge right away. It says it on the container. She did it right. I haven’t done it that way personally but it’s smart to save some time my son is 6 months and my doctor says to feed my son baby food twice a day along with his primary source of food, formula. Usually babies don’t get another doc app till 9 months unless something is wrong so I think she is doing great. Idk why ppl feel the need to be so nasty if you have an opinion that’s fine but why act crazy. Ppl parent differently I’m sure she discussed everything with her doctor 🙄.

By the look of these comments, some of you all are really ignorant and yall wonder why childhood obesity is so prevalent in America. As long as her child is healthy and gaining weight, she is feeding him perfectly fine. Breastmilk or formula is supposed to be a baby's main source of nutrition until the age of 1. Food beforehand is just for fun. Don't listen to the haters, mama!

Due to their lower level of important nutrients and a high amount of starchy carbohydrates, it would best to keep potatoes out of baby's diet until minimum 12 months of age.
Also, potatoes do typically pose a diathesis risk.
If your child has a threat of a diathesis please be careful with potatoes and any fruit of red color especially if your child not on breastfeeding.

I am a mom of two (3 year old girl camrynn and 10 month old son james). I love that pitcher, omg. My son is on 24cal formula because when he was 2 months he had failure to thrive and he pretty much seemed to burn off the calories too fast, was only 2lbs from his birth weight. I love how you give him bottles with meals, or whatnot. I don't feel I give my son that much but I have people telling me "give that baby some real food". So I've been trying to come up with more ideas, but he definitely eats. He eats a 4oz of food mixed with cereal and then a 6oz bottle with it, and sometimes some other finger food too. My daughter had 4 teeth at like 2 months so she was on solids much faster than james, so I was lost of ideas, but now I feel I'm on the right track anyway. Thanks

I also make his oatmeal the same way you do with different fruit puree and a little of breastmilk. For lunch I also give him avocado, cooked chopped carrots, ground beef with sweet potatoes, meatball soup etc. Its such a struggle to get him to eat. I give him some toys to distract him and when he opens his mouth I stick it in or I give him a food feeding pacifier and add his food in there. I want him to open his mouth just like your baby ugh. He is a petite baby, when I pump, he will drink 3-4 ounces of breastmilk 6-7 times a day. He is a very healthy baby and completing his milestones by roll over, I'm now helping him in other areas like crawling, clapping, sitting, waiving good bye etc.

For those of you who lack parenting skills and history knowledge. Long time ago, women breast fed their children until they knew they had all their teeth to eat a meal. Plus, doctors all around the world encourage parents to feed their children milk for at least a whole year because they get all their nutrients from the milk, the food is only to get them familiar to solids. Ugh!!!!!

    • @miriambenesova2640
      @miriambenesova2640 6 месяцев назад

Nice. But just not true. First 6 months exclusively breastfed, then you have to add solids (pureed, not BLW, that's risky). Especially meat and wheat, buckwheat, etc. To keep your baby healthy and support correct development.

Pre-mixed milk can last 24 hrs refrigerated. People get confused because if you mix formula in the baby’s bottle and feed that bottle to the baby, and then the baby doesn’t finish that bottle, it has to be thrown out. This is because of bacteria from the baby’s mouth. At least that’s how it was explained to me.

I think ppl like to rush babies. They can’t wait for them to hit milestones, sit up, roll over, talk and walk and of course eat food. Babies don’t need food until age 1 anything a parent wants to do is their choice. I breastfeed 80% and use formula if my mom watches him. I do not feed him large amounts food. And if I do I keep it simple like one fruit or one vegetable. I personally don’t see the rush in getting him to eat foods now. He just turned 8 months. It’s a parents choice and people need to understand that!!! Your child your choice.
