Hi Christine. The two vehicles towing managed as well as the other vehicles in the group. Both the Discovery 4 and the 200 series Cruiser have more than enough power to deal with the challenges. The other TVan required one snatch to get over the crest of a dune, we never need any help. That is not to say that we did not need two attempts at a half a dozen or so dunes (but even those that weren't towing had to do the same). One dune took three attempts but only because I had forgotten to turn off the stability/traction control. The biggest challenge is backing the TVan down the dune and keeping it straight so that you can have another go. The more difficult dunes all tend to have "launch ramps" which gives you more of an opportunity to get your momentum up to carry you over the dune. Don't listen to the naysayers, a capable vehicle towing a TVan is good on the Canning.
Hi Robert We had a suspension issue on the second last day. I put together an emergency air up kit, which although not perfect, did allow us to complete the trip. I carry a code reader (GAPid) which is invaluable when you are remote. Given that my car is 12 years old she is still pretty good and will be my remote travel vehicle for the foreseeable future. Just finished a Simpson and Hay River trip, of the nine vehicles on the trip the Disco was one of the most reliable and trouble free. Cheers Marcus
Thanks, I have done the Hay ( and Plenty ) river basin trip and it is remote obviously but very pretty and reasonably tough with potential for lots of punctures from the spinifex “ rings” Enjoy
Nice road trip! Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching!
How did the Tvan go over the dunes? Any towing needed?

How did your discovery go on the trip, as everyone bags these vehicles, but I think they are a good travel rig

No tyre issues at all on this trip.
