Ah it's good to see these old great busch races. This series now is just plain terrible. No competition and not that many good teams. most of them are cup teams with cup drivers now. I think 2005 maybe even 2006 was the last good year for the series.
2005 for me, once Cup drivers started winning the Busch Series championship is when it went down hill. Restricting Cup drivers from running the full season was the right move, but I think if a driver wants to run both Xfinity and Trucks he/she should be allowed to but not if they run Cup.
Oh ok I'm sorry. My Internet may have done it for all I know. Anyway, the original was "Thank you for posting this video because it was my first ever NASCAR race that I went to. I was 11 years old. Never thought I would see this video."
Hey man, is there any chance of this getting taken down? I only ask because I want to watch this a lot as it is a great memory of my first ever NASCAR race.
2003 Channellock 250 Location: Bristol, Tennessee Track: Bristol Motor Speedway Type of race track: Short Track Starting cars: 43 Finishing cars: 22 Laps: 250 Cautions: 13 Red flags: 1 Pole Winner: David Green (37) Most laps led: Kevin Harvick (21) (Part-Time) (97 laps led) Race Winner: Kevin Harvick (21) (Part-Time)
Its gotten way way bigger since then, I liked in 1991, they had decals or American flags on the cars, now they have patriotic paint schemes and everything else. 2001 was fine, they naturally had to that because of 9/11 but now they have to do patriotic stuff at every track for prerace. I'm not against patriotism for my country, but I get sick of it. Do it on important events, Daytona events, Coke 600, Richmond, Homestead.
I love the old Graphics with that little green or yellow light blinking on the scoreboard and who can forget that starting lineup music? Flashbacks 😎
Regan hit pretty damn hard for Bristol.
Chase Montgomery was like the Ken Alexander of 2003 at Bristol
I Love Kevin Harvick.
One word to describe this race: Wreckfest. Thanks for the post.
Jeez what a hit! I don't even remember that. I was 11. But wow! I was sitting second row, between Turns 1 and 2.
