It's not expensive, it's exclusive. When you had to buy/import the ingredients in higher price.... Than in Malaysia... Surely the food you sells at par too...I aploud the owner... I'm sure it's not easy to survive there esp during pandemic
Jesse..You really humble type. I thought you dress down only in Malaysia but even in Korea still the same. That reminds me of my Korean colleague in U.S university that also quite humble even though his background from rich family.
Wahhh you are finally eating out at one of the Malaysian restaurants. I hoping to see you and your mom eating. But that's ok maybe next video you can bring your mom. Stay safe bro.
The price for non local food in any country (in this case Malaysian food in Korea) is usually on the high side. The selling price must factor in all the costs, and of course, to make some or higher profit and to sustain the business. When we travel, all the steep price we pay is also due to weak Ringgit Malaysia against other foreign currencies (unfortunate for us fellow Malaysians). In my travellings, I've paid AUD5 (>RM15) for roti canai at Paparich Melbourne, USD7 (>RM28) for a bread at Dubai Intl Airport, USD5 (>RM20) for a 6-piece gummy candy in Jordan, SGD7 (>RM21) for a glass of juice at a hawker centre in Spore, RM90 for authentic kuih lapis in Jakarta, USD5 for seasonal avocado shake in Yangon, and these are just some examples. The point here is we pay for what we chose to have, for the desire to eat our home country food in a foreign land or for other food adventurous reasons. So Jesse, as long as you and your friend were satisfied with our Malaysian food made in Korea, it's all right. You would have made it up with all the delicious food and paying reasonably whilst in Malaysia. Happy food hunting! PS: I'm amazed at how strong your tummy is when you tried so many kinds of unfamiliar food from so many stalls and eateries in KL. Haha. So far so good. Just be cautious and watch the hygiene especially during this Covid-19 time.
Missed Seoul + Korea so much.. One thing that really makes me remember well about Seoul metropolitan is the subway Jingle whenever the train approaching...and also the announcement inside the subway. "Next station Jamsil"

Even if we treated KRW1000 to RM1 - it’s gonna be like 15,000 won to 15 ringgit, is still pricey. Unless the price for restaurants in Malls but warong and other restaurants outside mall, no one sell RM15 for nasi Goreng. But of course in this case it’s nasi goreng ketam (the crab probably expensive) as well as others Malaysian spice that need to be imported, and considering it’s rare to get nasi goreng in S.k.
