What if Palpatine was badly wounded when the Invisible Hand crashed on Coruscant? What if he were in a coma and missed the end of the war? He wakes up to find the war is over, the Separatists have surrendered and the Emergency powers of the Chancellor were surrendered by Mas Amedda, serving as interim chancellor during Palpatine's Convalescence. Palpatine's identity has not been discovered. The galaxy hails him as a hero and thanks him for his long and faithful service to the galaxy, which can now come to an end? How would he adapt to this disruption to his plan?

Anakin had no experience with Grievous it was risky sending him all alone....Thats why they picked Obi Wan who fought Grievous many times...In my mind this was the real reason no one wanted Anakin to go.But Anakin would have better odds having his master with him..
Maybe not tell him his genealogy outside of what Obi-Wan told him when they first met originally when he was teen, but 'what if' Obi-Wan was able to convince Luke's aunt and uncle into allowing him to train Luke as a youngling, focusing heavily on his connection and use of the force, just as long as it was done in secret and as a way of protection incase anyone from the Empire ever came looking for him? While also retaining his original personality and devotion to his friends...He'd have a hugggeeee head start going into the events of the first movie, and he'd get far more out of Grandmaster Yoda's training that's beyond what Obi-Wan is capable of.... cause as a new Padawan in Canon, Yoda didn't teach him anything that another Jedi master couldn't, including force ghost Obi-Wan... Outside of sending him into the cave, Yoda just went over some basics because that's where Luke was at, he couldn't take advantage of Yoda's knowledge because he wasn't ready for it. In a situation where he's been training in the force for his whole life and with his potential, he'd be more than ready to recieve such training and information from Yoda.
I have a whacky idea: What if Grevious killed Anakin in front of Obi-Wan and Palpatine (Sidious)? specifically, in that scene in ROTS where the trio get caught in a Ray-Shield and Anakin tells the general he’s shorter than he expected
This proves that you are very adept at writing horror stories . Palpatine dies . Anakin never became Lord Vader. No Imperial rule . Everyone lives " happily ever after " . Truly horrific , I don't know if I will be able to sleep tonight .
I imagine that if Obi-Wan is in trouble, Anakin would use his emotions, and unleash a barrage of Force lighting
