Bought my first GMT II in 2015, regretted selling it in 2016, been back and forth from pateks, APs, catier, then back to Rolex with a submariner. Just got a batman GMT last week. GMT is my favorite watch of all time. So happy to have one back.

Beautiful watch. I’d love to buy one, but Rolex dealers only seem to sell to flippers who then scalp the watch for twice the price. Nothing but empty shelves because all the inventory is in the hands of rent seeking gatekeepers.

Wonderful watch. Do you want to buy it? Sorry you cannot. Why? Actually you can, but you have two way: 1. Chose a dealer and first buy a large amount of other stuff, then you will be able to enlist yourself in a waiting list. Wait some months (how many months depends on how much you paid to by the other stuff) and then you get it. 2. You can buy it from a reseller for the twice of its price. In order to get my Submariner I choose the first path and now I get it. I think that this situation could easly resolved if Rolex made the decision to build up a good e-commerce. But maybe the truth is that anybody wish a Rolex (and with a good reason ...) And the offer is much less than the Demand. That's it.

It's the choice for Grey Market, and unscrupulous Authorised Dealers. Shame on you for allowing this racket to be played out with your blessing. A better alternative would be to move to a boutique model, and increase your MSRP to where grey prices are at present, and stop tarnishing your good standing by allowing crooks to ruin any good will you have with collectors and enthusiasts.

한국과 파리, 베트남의 시간을 상대적인 시간을 사용하지 않고 UTC 절대 시간을 사용하는 것이 편합니다.
UTC는 세계표준시로 구글 검색하면 시간 대역의 지도가 나옵니다. 한국은 UTC +9, 중국 UTC+8, 베트남등 인도차이나 UTC+7, 영국 UTC 0, 유럽 UTC +1, 뉴욕 -5, 시카고 -6, 덴버 -7, LA -8 입니다. 미국은 UTC에 24를 더해서 뉴욕 19, 시카고 18, 덴버 17, LA 16으로 외워야 됩니다. 한국 서울은 9, 미국 뉴욕은 10 더한 19(서울 뉴욕은 10시간 차이남), 지구자전축에서 왼쪽으로 갈 수록 1씩 빼주고 오른 쪽으로 갈 수록 1을 더한다.
보통 여행을 하는 경우 한국의 시간을 알아볼 경우가 많기 때문에 GMT 바늘은 항상 한국 시간을 읽게 하고 일반 바늘은 현지 시간을 읽게 하는 것이 편하고 그 외 타 지역은 베젤을 이용하여 시간을 읽게 하면 3개국이 아니라 어떤 나라 시간도 읽을 수 있습니다. (서머 타임은 불편)
우선 GMT 바늘을 한국 시간에 맞추기 위해서는 베젤의 숫자 9(점)가 12시 방향에 오게 돌립니다. 9인 이유는 맞추고자 하는 한국 UTC 시간이 +9 이기 때문이죠. 그런 다음 용두를 2회 빼서 GMT 바늘이 24시간 베젤에서 한국 시간이 되게 돌려주고 분도 맞춥니다. 만약 현재 GMT 시간 세팅하는 곳이 한국이 아니면 현재 있는 곳의 UTC 시간 값이 12시 방향에 오게 돌린 뒤 현지 있는 곳 시간(서머타임 적용되기 전)에 맞추어 GMT 바늘을 맞춥니다.
그것으로 끝입니다.
이제는 세계 어디를 가던지 한국 시간을 알고 싶으면 베젤의 숫자 9(점으로 되어 있음)을 12시에 놓고 베젤 시간을 읽으면 한국 시간이 됩니다.
마찬가지로 파리 시간을 알고 싶다면 유럽은 서머타임이 없다면 UTC 1이므로 베젤의 1(점)이 12시 방향에 오게 돌려놓고 베젤 시간을 읽으면 유럽 시간입니다. 중국시간은 베젤의 8, 베트남은 베젤의 7, 뉴욕은 베젤의 19, 시카고는 18, LA는 16이 12시 방향에 오게 돌려 놓고 베젤 시간을 읽으면 됩니다.
UTC 시간을 외우기 힘들다고요? 몇 개만 외우면 됩니다. 영국은 그리니치 천문대 기준이니 0, 유럽 1, 한국 9, 중국 8, 베트남등 인도차이나 7, 뉴욕부터 미국은 4개 시간이 있으니 또는 19,18,17,16 로 외우면 됩니다. 세계 지도를 생각하면 영국, 한국, 뉴욕 3개만 외워도 그 주위 수만은 UTC 값을 저절로 알게 됩니다. 영국이 0이고 유럽이 1이란 사실, 한국이 9란 것, 뉴욕이 19란 것 3가지만 외우고 미국은 4개 시간이 있어 LA는 뉴욕에서 19,18,17,16이 된다는 것만 기억하면 됩니다.
그리고 한국 사람의 경우는 해외에 나가거나 일상생활에서 베젤은 9가 12시 방향에 오게 돌려 놓고 생활하면 됩니다. 즉시 바로 한국 시간을 세계 어디서던 GMT 바늘로 읽을 수 있죠. 유럽, 미국의 뉴욕과 LA, 베트남 등 세계 어느 곳이던 UTC 값을 몇 개 기억하고 그 UTC 값이 12시 방향으로 오게 베젤을 돌린 뒤 베젤 시간을 읽으면 세계 어느 곳의 시간도 읽을 수 있습니다.
그래서 보통 GMT 시간의 베젤은 돌려져 있고 자기 출신 국가의 UTC 값이 12시에 오게 놓고 차고 다니는 것이 편하죠.
영국 0, 유럽 1, 한국 9, 중국 8(싱가포르,홍콩),인도차이나 베트남등 7, 뉴욕 19, 시카고 18, 덴버 17, LA 16, 그외 중동(항공기 환승하는 아랍에미레이트 등)과 터키 시간 정도만 외우고 있으면...
서머타임의 경우 해당 지역이 서머타임 적용 받는 날인지 알고 있어야 하고 1시간 더해 주면 됩니다.

Rollex watch is nowhere near speciall or different to other hand watches 20% of price is materials and building a watch other 80% is just cause its rollex you are buying name to flex with and thats all you could buy watch made out of same materials probably for 70% cheaper.
