Guys, I did it - consumed 6 years of your adventure in one month. Wow, how far you have come, seen, grown and experienced. Your energy and perspective on life is infectious. Sorry Netflix what? I am signing up here 🤓
can I just say it takes SUCH a special person to know the music to fit certain shots so perfectly to really capture the moment and make someone really feel it. literally some shots just make me break out into tears because it’s so perfect!!! Please never stop you guys you have such a true pure talent for filming the perfect moments and making me feel so many things in the mix. A LOT of big Hollywood movies can’t do what you guys do to my heart, THAT’S SO REAL, thank you thank you thank you
Hear, hear! So we'll said. I, amongst many others I'm sure, feel the same way. The day they decide to stop this channel will be a very, very sad day indeed..... let's hope they go on foreverrrrrrr!! 😀
I don't ever comment ... but this episode had such a natural feel to it .... like it did back in the early days. I felt connected to a pair of individuals, a couple, parents, but most of all human beings. Riley, you're a great Dad. Elayna, you're a terrific Mum, and lets be real ... a gorgeous woman. You both have talents that are God-given, and your son is benefitting from them. Thank you for what you do and I DO hope you can make it back to Australia. Your upcoming child deserves to be born at home!
I get soooo much inspiration from Elays filming, she always has the best artsy shots that help tell their story! She is very talented and I hope she takes a moment to smile at how amazing she is :) Much love to ALL of them for being an awesome family :)
I used to lift my little guy using his arms. Along the way he hit a growth spurt that loosed his joints a bit. He suffered dislocations a couple of times. They started to consider his Mom and I abusive. It was time to change how we lifted him.
Ah! Really good episode. Spontaneous daily stuff enhances our connectivity to you guys. Riley, your comments about the loss of anonymity in the cruising community is the downside of success, however from this observer it appears you are dealing. Of course, we don't see the folks stalking you down the docks. The pandemic has changed many plans and ended many lives. I am confident you will figure it out and rest assured Australia will be right where you left it. Stay healthy and shiny side up!
Best episode yet, I’d say, abs they’ve all been the best on YT or anywhere. The bit about the chatter going up the river, the need to overcome the awkwardness that comes with vlogging, the chill vibe and having only filmed the 3 gave this a very intimate glimpse into life on SLV.
I was surprised by a tear running down my cheek when watching Lenny having the splinters removed from his little fingers, his sweet face crying "owww" just got to this mum who's youngest is now away at Uni. Then, the full gambit of emotions when he shook his head "no, no, no" when offered chocolate after the procedure, I found myself seriously belly laughing! By the way, great courage was shown by his Mum and Dad during the whole ordeal. Kids take their cues in these situations from their parents and you both were very calm and reassuring ~ perfect xxx
Another great episode. The everyday occurrences are what make the vlogs worth watching. Who hasn't felt their heart drop when their child is hurting? Lenny made it through his splinter incident like a champ! Mom and dad handled it pretty fine as well.
I noticed that Lenny said "não" in perfect portuguese ... congrats guys, your child just learned and added this phoneme to his linguist repertoar. What a wonderfull gift!
Somewhere in your sailing community, there must be an Obstetrician, or good midwife, who could meet up with you. Prayers for your comfort, and peace of mind🙏❤️🥰😘😘😘LOVE YOU 4
We're super newbies and are very uncomfortable filming in public. It was humbling to hear Riley talk about still being uncomfortable, even after 6 years. Beautiful island!! Thanks for sharing 👍
Really loved the editing on this one guys! The scenes of you guys walking through the town with the natural sound of the evening was so peaceful! As always, loved the video ❤️
Watching you guys is so peaceful to me, the water, day dreaming of being out in the water, your love for Lenny and he’s so well behaved. So glad I’m able to follow along
Brodie and Stryda are ace! SLV and YBS are pretty much the only videos i care to watch nowadays, two both inspiring channels that have taught me a lot about the ocean & sailing in the past year.
Poor Lenny Renton, his little face when you all are removing his splitters. Saddest face ever. Love this episode. I wish people didn't give you the business for being vloggers. I think they don't think about all of us being stuck at home, unable to go be in the water. Seeing you guys on the boat is very calming.
The community loves you guys for how genuine and real you both are. You aren't doing vlogging for vainful reasons. Keep being honest and true to yourselves and you will always have our respect.
You guys should really consider having your baby in Norway! Bergen and other cities by the coast is really beautiful, especially in the summer!❤️ We like to think we speak good English, and our health care system is among the best in the world! Norway is truly the best place to be born and right now it’s also really safe with the current world situation! You guys are truly inspiring and I wish you all the best, warm hugs form Norway 🇳🇴☺️!
Once again, excellent storytelling. Lenny saying "ouch", that was heartbreaking. Reminded me of the many times my two boys got bumps and bruises. He's going to be such a fantastic big brother. Can't offer an intelligent suggestion, for the arrival of your next little miracle. I'll settle for praying that you have an uneventful pregnancy, and a safe delivery of a healthy, beautiful baby. What joy, experiencing that overwhelming love for the firstborn-this time, for another child! What a beautiful mystery.
I was actually eating a chocolate bar while watching. Felt a bit guilty about it cuz I basically had no excuse (no slivers or other painful, exposed wounds). Lenny has it figured out already. Lol
In a way I want to express Elayna is amazing with filming. I remember times when our kids were toddlers. We spent all time on caring. Only photos, hardly videos (we extra bought a camera and recorder). But she takes so many sequences about that super cute but exhausting Lenny to refresh us.
Great video. I love that your eyes are never off of Lenny. Even if your not looking at him your peripheral vision knows exactly where he is and what he doing. Love it 😊❤️
Honestly I can't explain how much this makes my week and as happy as I am that you uploaded jm sad knave to wait till next week for the next video, can't wait !
I've recently started editing and putting together my own drone videos - having watched you guys for the past 4 years, I'm just now starting to really REALLY appreciate the quality and consistency you guys bring to us, your viewers week in week out. No excuses, no exceptions. Love you guys and your hilarious and quirky personalities.
Yikes Riley, I thought I came from a rough neighborhood. People get beat up for video blogging in public? Where I came from, people just give you the peace sign or say cheese when in front of a camera, video or still. I too was the doctor of the family pulling out splinters and remember those sobs from the little ones. Thanks for the episode and the little free diving, just love it. Love you guys.
I watch many sailing channels , Sailing into freedom, Zatara, Sailing Doodles, I love them all but there is a reason that you guys have 1.5 million subscribers!! Wonderful stuff!!!!👍🇺🇸
I hated motoring and my wife hated sailing, so one day we drifted downwind with 15 knots of wind at 150 apparent with my wife steering and me drinking rum. Not our best day. Other sailboats called to see if we needed assistance. Yes we did.
Watching little Lenny cry around 19:00 was heartbreaking-as was seeing both of you getting emotional. However, seconds later, he was back to his usual wonderful self-what a great kid!
Riley your explanation was right on. Doing your job I suspect is a fine balance. You guys do a swell job, content is always awesome. You are well known citizens of the world, sometimes a blessing and other times not so much. Thank you for sharing your lives.

Yeah found that out a few weeks back the guys over on sailing nandji or an Indonesia and Pregnant and it just got to be such a hassle and so expensive for them trying to get back into Australia to have their kid that they just hauled the boat out and started a refit they're going to have it right there in Indonesia no problems with citizenship the only thing they see is the problem is they don't get to have dual citizenship because they are Australian
If you guys get RUclips premium there is no ads - it’s worth it ... I am in love with this family and always give a thumbs up and watch all the videos ! I thin premium is worth it!!!
Always love the freediving bits, seriously if I could live under water I would try that in a heartbeat !! Such tranquility and beauty down there. It must be hard not to be able to return to your homeland this year, but keep shining!! Reading some of the comments here makes me smile, you're bringing a lot of life and light into this community.
Those people who would beat you up for using a camera with a selfie stick certainly aren't living the life of Riley! Australia would not only NOT be a reboot right now, it could literally end the beautiful freedom you worked so hard for, that so many of us wish we had! You have friends in every port...I'm sure you will find the perfect place to have your baby! Sail on!
I really enjoyed the genuine laid back nature of this video. Really a great time.. and aww that splinter clip..so sad and so cute all at once. The two of you have a REAL talent for cinematography and for making us viewers feel something. seriously well done.
Little Lenny is gonna make such a great big brother, another lucky soul is hitting the parent jackpot. Love you guys, if anyone is putting more little humans into the world, I’m glad it’s you guys ❤️
I feel like I should apologize saying "I've never seen a little one look more precious (even though he was crying 'cause of a splinter)", and then when he was asked if he wanted chocolate, no no no no no, noo. 😁
I recall my son falling onto our wood patio decking and his hands were covered in wood splinters. It was so bad went to hospital and they used Magnesium Sulfate Paste B.P, then bandaged his hands. The paste simply draws out the splinters without the need for tweezers and causing additional pain. It was really an amazing treatment, used it many times since as boys grow up they get into all sorts. Just a little tip for the future !! Take care and regards from Tynemouth, England.
You guys have uncertainty like many haven't had, but as a man with 4 kids- one with special needs, you are in great shape. Keep living your dreams and enjoying life. The kid thing will work itself out. Love watching your show.
Why dont you sail up to Stockholm, Sweden. The archipelago is really nice with thousands of small islands. Might be a good place to have the baby as well.
Love seeing these islands. We will probably never get to see them in person...so THANK YOU!. Lenny is going to be a smashing big brother. Best wishes and stay safe you three !
Amazing episode of such an attractive family. The good fun you have together, and your interaction with Lenny is irresistible. Great editing again, and sound. The scene were .Lenny doesn't know Elayna is filming, then the look on his face when he realizes, priceless.
Of all the full time sailing bloggers I follow your video work and story telling is on-point! You make it feel like we are there with you and that is the goal! Great work! And that boy Lenny, he is so cute!
Poor Lenny, that little sobbing "owwwww" made my eyes all misty! What a brave boy he was though. You guys are such good parents. I love every moment of video!
I watch about a dozen sailing channels. You are all different and all manage to capture the BEST moments. THANK YOU! Riley... beard hairs. Yeah, my wife would go absolutely BALLISTIC if I left that in the basin! She does so even when I miss a very tiny little bit. She takes a magnifying glass and tries to find even ONE hair that I missed cleaning up! Roily! Good on ya moit! Keep vloggin'! And if somewon don't loik it! Screw 'em if they can't take a joike!
I hope you don't get into a situation like Sailing Nahoa. They went back to Canada to have their baby and just got back to Thailand where there boat is after 13 months away.
One of the things that keep me watching is how you are on the same wavelength and so in tuned with everything and lenny. Its a very good cooperation and both understand eachother well. Im not sure how it is off the cameras but it seems to go really well. I look up to this and i try to learn from you guys :)
Your kids little face when you was removing his splitters, melted my cold dead heart. Bless him. Will miss your boat when you sell, whats your plan after, new boat or back to dry land? Stay safe guys, congrats on your new pregnancy
“Watch out!” *Elena dives under wave like a mermaid goddess* I would have got dunked and flipped 30 times then drowned. Thanks for another awesome video guys! 🥳❤️
Wow, pregnant mum, more children coming, you guys are exciting to watch in future vids, keep up the great presentation. Have been a follower now for a year, as a Australian and following you guys such a pleasure.
@@jilllangman9343 If it’s habit, and someone has asked to please clean up and it’s repeated, then that may be considered disrespectful. But if it was a one time thing like maybe they were in a rush, hay get a life .
Another lovely video guys!! You're better than anything on TV!!! :) Thanks so much! I patreon'd you guys for over a year and still miss it but it is what it is. :)
haha i totally get what riley was saying on the beach, even here in berlin it would be really strange to see some1 vlogging. Kind of conflicting because i really enjoy these videos of you guys haha
Lenny's crying face almost made me cry, so cute.

Something about this vlog was different and I liked it. Elayna and Lenny are so cheeky together!

you guys are bringing me so much calm and joy in this incoherent, mad-mad world
Thanks Lenny
Come back to New Zealand 🇳🇿 its great here 😊
Lenny’s face when he was getting the splinter removed was so cute! Loved the shot of the sunset ... breathtaking!
AWWW, Lenny's owwie tugged my heart.
Wow, pregnant mum, more children coming, you guys are exciting to watch in future vids, keep up the great presentation. Have been a follower now for a year, as a Australian and following you guys such a pleasure.
I would kill my boyfriend if he left the sink like that🤯😂 like I ain’t yo mama! Grow up and clean up after yourself 😂
Whiskers in the sink is disrespectful. If we make a mess we should clean it up. Simples.
Lenny: No no no no
Now go watch the Vicar of Dibley where Jim announces - No no no no parking is allowed...
So funny!
That show is great to watch. The farmer that shows up late at the town meeting, he had milk the goat and make cheese before coming..
Oh my Goodness! Sweet Lenny saying "ouch" broke my heart You both did an awesome job of removing that nasty splinter
haha i totally get what riley was saying on the beach, even here in berlin it would be really strange to see some1 vlogging. Kind of conflicting because i really enjoy these videos of you guys haha
You two and the little one dont even need to speak and its crystal clear how happy you all are ❤
I can't imagine how sunblock these three go through
You don't really need it as much once conditioned! Little Lenny needs it of course, but I'd be surprised if mom&pop apply most days!
Omg that broke my heart and I’m late to watch this and thousands of miles away..........bless his heart..........good job Mom
U have the cutest little bump, though when u free dive it looked like it went away. 😂
I was skimming the comments to see if anyone else noticed that 😆
One could only wish their belly looked like that when not pregnant 😆
@@RealEstateNorthCarolina my thoughts exactly! *whilst looking down at my tummy with a sigh* 😂
@@rae7701 So true! Mine looks like knocked up with "Berliner Kindl" (= baby from Berlin/Germany) - it's a beer brand!
Water pressure would do that. She may have to stop diving soon.
