Young lady, you give us a lot of joy with your mandolin performances. As always, your execution was flawless. Thanks for sharing your talent . Blessings! I am your fan . Best regards from México.
Thank you! I love your playing. And I was also thinking about those settings of yours: you are playing this in a staircase, wearing your casual clothes. It gives a relaxed atmosphere. You just play this demanding composition and let us enjoy it, without any show.
I remember seeing a Julian Bream masterclass on this fugue. He said he always takes a breath to signal the first beat. Because it's a rest, a lot of people don't do it and that starts them off beat. Nice to see you do the breath trick. 😊 Also wow that trill at 4:06! 😍
I’ve been playing a good few years and sometimes I even convince myself that the Bach I play is actually ok… but this is absolutely wonderful! This is what I aspire to! Thank you for posting!
found your channel recently and omgg your playing is beautiful!! hope to play as well as you one day!!! also very beautiful to listen to as background noise
Thank you for your other comment on luthier Carlo and we got in touch. I’m now curious what strings you have on there or what you typically use - type and manufacturer? 🙏🏻
I have Thomastik Prazision Mandolin 154 Medium on the A, D, and G strings. And Hannabach E1 011p. The Hannabach package also has No. 2821011 on the bottom edge. Strings by Mail has ordered both of these for me, but the Hannabachs are also on Amazon. Mr. Mazzaccara specifically says that the E strings needs to have this size.
Thank you! Regarding slurs: although they are not possible to play on mandolin, due to using a pick, a similar effect can be accomplished by making the phrase legato and changing it's musical color to be more smooth.
This is so good, you made this old man turn to tears of joy and adoration. Bless you young lady.
beautyfull piece of music..

Brava, molte grazie per il video. A presto!
❤ un bonheur d’ ecouter cette artiste....ça me donne envie de rejouer cette fugue ❤

Acoustics might be great, but Mandolin Princess's skills are even better :)

Unbelievable
Beautiful playing.
Would you mind telling me how mandolin players play slurs?

😃👋👋👋💚🤍❤😇
How do you learn this? Is it note for note from sheet music, or arranged by ear from listening to another player like a violinist?
Is there tablature available for this version, or is it only available in staff notation?
