I honestly can’t wait for Middle Eastern focus trees. Iran especially. Asian minors need some love too, I would love to see a redone Raj tree or an updated China focus tree.

I feel like the big land fronts like ussr v germany and china v japan need complete redos. hopefully no step back fixes china not just russia
try the road to 56 mod, it makes all the middle eastern countries much more interesting

35:38 Historically, Turkey maintained their neutrality through out the whole conflict and Hitler even sent İsmet İnönü a proposal to join the war on his side and in return, Aegean islands would become a part of Turkey. İnönü rejected the proposal by declaring that Turkey does not seek to expand their territory. Instead, Turks continued to sell chromium to Germany to maintain their neutrality via the Clodius Agreement. Both Allies and Axis wanted Turkey on their side and Churchill personally went to the province of Adana for a meeting with İsmet İnönü in a railway car to propose military aid if they joined the Allies. UK wanted to have access to Turkish military airports to bombard Romanian oil fields. However, this proposal was also rejected. When Soviet Union started to push back the Germans from their occupied territories, for Turkey, it was clear that Germans were gonna lose the war and the tides have turned. Turkey cut their relations off with the Germans and stopped to sell them chromium and 3 months before the German surrender, Turkey declared war on both Germany and Japan in February 1945 to join United Nations after post-war. Turkey did join the war but with their stubborn neutral stance, no Turkish troop ever saw combat in WW2. Turks had nothing to gain and everything to lose and Turkish Republic was still very young and had flashbacks to brutal Great War and Turkish Independence War. I have no idea either why does Turkey joins the Allies in the game in 1943 either. It doesn't make any sense.
It makes a bit of sense. IRL turkey definitely lent towards the allies.
In Hoi4 everything is possible lol

@@CSmith-hx2pm true, but they preferred trading with the allies. At the start of the war, turkey signed an assistance pact with the allies. They were friendly with Germany, but Italy wanted to dominate the Mediterranean so they were bound to be tensions. Turkey also joined on the side of the allies during the closing days of the war, but that doesn’t mean much.
I always wondered how you could form Arabia. I tried Saudi Arabia but I failed spectacularly. Thanks BitterSteel

Iraq after overthrowing the british monarchy was historically communist, under abdel karim qasim the biggest party in iraq were the conmunists, and a lot of socialist policies that the baath had a couple decades later were inspired by the communist policies under qasim.
So this video, is atleast to some extent historically accurate. I dont get why 3aml nafsak za3lan o mot3asb 3ala nokta.

@Arabic dude The baath was founded by Michel aflaq as an anti imperialist, socialist, and arab nationalist ideology. It wasn’t against communism. Saddam didn’t create the baath, so his dislike of communists, has nothing to do Aflaq or baathism

These days, whenever I'm watching a video on HOI4, I can't stop thinking that all the guides made from launch will basically become irrelevant with the changes in combat width etc in No Step Back...
Well, DLCs are optional and can be switched off. I own all, but prefer to switch off "la resistance", for example...

Props to you for doing it with la resistance update. I personally prefer to do something like this on versions before 1.9x husky since resistance eats so much manpower and equipment.
And starting as a minor you're barely able to equip one full army, let alone garrison the middle east.

Yes, I've been planning to do a campaign to take the islands. But Ireland has nothing going for it :(

Siam definitely needs a new focus tree, they have options for formidables and they have a historical path to join Japan faction
i really think they should add a feature where you slowly core everything. like andalusia does this. imma do a lil example
"Unify the Independent States" : take saudi arabia. yemen. iraq. and yemen
"Unify the North" : own syria. kuwait. palestine. jordan. and iraq
"Unify the Peninsula" : own the Arabian Peninsula (the south)
these would be always avalible for the arab states in the Peninsula. but for the next you require the previous
"Liberate Egypt" : own egypt
"Liberate Maghreb" : own the Maghreb states and libya
and finally one for most likely iraq if you war with persia
"Liberate Khuzestan and the southern arabs" : Take the historically arab areas of most southern persia
The capital encirclement thing hasn't worked for several patches. Supply flows if they control the state, and if they control the capital they control the state, always.
The Umayyad state will return thanks to this RUclipsr

Going red can be a great situation tactic but brown is usually best. Default focus tree best focus tree.
You should have played in road to 56 iraq has a very decent focus tree.

I know you have done the Spanish empire but would love to see the old Spanish Empire under Phillip II (the one the sun never sets on aka Philippines, the Low Countries, Southern Italy, and basically the Americas)
Now play HOI4 but with Max infrastructure in all provinces of the world, just for fun 😉

This is the name for fascist Azerbaijan. Azeris have cores on 2 states that start Iranese, and also they of course have the oil, and as you have to start soviet you can choose to build them up in many ways before releasin azerbaidjan if you wish. why dont you improve relations by just taking a non-aggression pact and then ask for military access instead of boosting it by spending pp? Seems like many people dont know that relations will be improved by asking for military access

forming persia is really hard.spesially because of new dlc battle for bosporos because turkey gets garentee.but if you change to comonisim fast then use para drop to invade turkey first before afganistan and iraq(imean before it gets garenteed).you can make it.and make a 10 width infentry 24 devisions and put it for deffence against india and be carefull of the top border with india.they attack and break there first.then with one 24 army devision you can get african parts.by the way you will need cyrupus too.wish you good luck.

Ahahaha, why? I did it as Fascist Iraq through quick civil war, a quite lagging behind in industry for sure, but then i join Japan instead of Stalin and using China's manpower to conquer the West.

I also tried Iraq a few times but fighting Iran always turned into pure attrition warfare with barely any movement - just like in reality. What a strange coincidence.
I did this type of play before. Called my faction the Sword of Arabia. Pretty tough to do, hopefully when they give them focus's they buff them a bit as well.
This is actualy not the hardest thing: attack iran attack saudi arabia then attack yemen then oman then attack uk because you Will have to because they quarentee and quickly take syria and eqypt
The only proplem is iran and uk and france here but you can usualy get syria and eqypt befode they send troops

The dev talked about the middle east in one of there Q&A and said they will make a dlc about the middle east and hope they will include Italy bc there are a lot of inaccuracies in the game like Egypt was not a colony in 1936 it was free except the Suez canal and Iraq joined the axis in the war and Saudis Araby give the axis oil during the war especially Japan and many things happened in the middle east from 1936 to 1945 that the game doesn't have
Ahmed Mostafa Saudi Arabia didn’t give oil to the axis. Actually they gave it to the allies. Aramco (the oil company of Saudi Arabia) was an American company.
Even Italy sent a bomber squadron to bomb the oil fields of Saudi Arabia.
