At the moment armor is not working as intended and all armor is taking the same amount of damage no matter what. So until patched always take light armor
The patch notes from like 2 days ago confirmed that the armor rating is not working the heavy armor your wearing probably has explosive damage resistance or extra padding as the passive or the chance to survive a lethal hit that is keeping you alive
@@roman727doesn’t matter what you believed, it’s about the fact the devs confirmed it. Further more, if you had the heavy with 50% explosive resist, that would be why If not, thorough testing in the community has proven that explosive damage is wildly inconsistent. Then you add variables like if you got headshot, leg shot, chest shot, etc on top of ALL those variables, and yea. Sometimes heavy does survive. But so does literally all other armors. Any stim armor is best armor ngl. 2 extra stims, including an extra 2s effect time per stim that basically makes you immortal (you can still be one shot or burst down by enough damage but its gotta be INSANE DPS). Thats nearly an entire minute of near invulnerability. Bonus points for light armor because speeds are different between armors but the actual defense rating makes little to no differance. Armor rating is basically non functioning atm. You die just as quick in the heaviest armor (EOD Armor that was available in the super store on the second rotation, it comes with the passive of " extra armor padding" ) as you do in the lightest scout armor. That will likely change soon when they fix armor but in current state. Light stim armor is the goat. 2 extra nades dosent mean much when you can just grab an autocannon. Scout imo is nice but noone is sitting there watching their minimap and the stealth capabilitys can be done better by just keeping your eyes open and avoiding patrols. Following stims in my opinion is explosive resistance for best passive. Being able to have a chance at surviving cluster bomb eagles is nice even if its not garunteed
+2 grenades are good choice as well for closing bug holes or general nade spamming. Survivability can be bolstered by using the shield pack. And the best perk IMO is the 50% chance to survive any deadly attacks (attacks that will kill). The number of times this perk procced is insane. Survive friendly fire? Yes Survive a full bile titan spit? Yes Survive bile spewer spot on spit bomb hitting on you? Yes Survive a nade thrown at your feet? Yes Survive getting the stratagem knocked out of hand and landing on your feet? Yes Survive a hellbomb or 500KG bomb? Yes
Nice video! Not mentioning extra 2 stims and stim increased duration in criminal lol. Such a great perk. More over time healing to survive and more stims to use when a stamina reset is needed and you’re damaged. Personal opinion
I think quite a few would agree with you, its a good perk. Overall I think each perk has a place in a specific situation which is awesome from a player choice perspective.
You forgot to mention that the "pay to win" warbond track can be bought with 1000 super credits. Totally free. It really bugs me that this misinformation of "pay to win" is going around.
I still like the light scout armors for both the movement speed, and the sensor ping passive. Knowing just what is where and when it's decided to come to you is invaluable information for a team or solo play. Being a sneaky bastard and popping heads from over 100m with either the diligence or AMR just makes it better with that stealth bonus too. I stick to default. Basically heavy armor with medium speed. If not then I do light gunner, which is light armor with medium armor rating. Also they both look sick
I can’t remember the name of it, but I have armour with 50% less explosive damage and it is a MUST for bots, a lot of stuff is designed to exactly one shot. Plenty of times I’ve been stood on an objective with a teammate, been hit by a mortar or big tower gun, teammates evaporated and I’m on half health
Explosive Resistance will get lost in the sauce with all the other perks but it will mitigate the Scorchers lesser known effects of killing the user at close range. Most people have yet to unlock the gun but be aware that without Explosive Resistance or a Shield Generator it will get you killed with 1 shot up close.
I hate it when games have armor classes but make the differences fucking meaningless. When I equip heavy armor, should be able to damn near tank a nuke to the face
Right now armor class is meaningless. So heavy armor is an absolute no go. Hopefully it will be substantially tankier once it does work considering how much slower it makes you
I love the look of the heavy armor but its just not worth it i feel like i die faster and my stamina is terrible i wouldn't mind the stamina issue if i could take a hit
Have you ever seen a studio make as huge a jump from game 1 to game 2 as Helldivers did? Didn't think so. Give it time. This game is too successful to function so far and the developer seems genuine in their intent to provide a live service game with staying power. This will mean more enemy factions, more mission types, more biomes, more cosmetics, etc. Also the point of this game is NOT to min/max armor and weapons though so if that's what you're looking for, you probably want a different game. HD2 is a lot more focused on teamwork strategy. You're supposed to be a generic random guy who signed up for the war, not a super soldier so I doubt they will ever make the armor system feel like a 'class' system.
