You saved my life thought I broke trumpet numbers facing mouthpiece didn't now that
Thanks Tootin Tim this really helped me! 😄😄😄
thank you so much if fixed my trumpet
Thanks for showing what to do
So Tim, I took the valves apart and oiled them. Thanks for the 1/4 turn tip. Number three was sticking. Now it is free, but I still notice a slight rub when I depress it slowly. Further inspection uncovered a very slight Nick on the actual valve. I polished it with brasso on that spot and it improved, but can I take a fine stone and try to level that spot out? Thanks.
Thank u so much i was wondering why my trumpet wasnt blowing than i saw that they have to lock in place thank u
gabe at best it wasn’t your trumpet that was blowing, just your valves were stuck and you thought it was the instruments fault, not your inability to properly maintain and care for it
Thank you so much
i had no idea how to do this tnx ur a lfe saver ;-)
Your a life saver

All we need now is a, “How to Open Valve oil with a Childproof Cap”
thank you i am using my moms youtube account so thank you so much
How do I open the blue valve oil there's a white thing on it and I cant open it and I'm doing what it says push down and turn
ty so much
Danke man!
Doh... before watching this I put oil inside the valves (through the hole at the base), have I wrecked my cornet??
Also I have two valves with number 3 on them ....can I carry on playing with two number three valves?
Don't worry you haven't wrecked it by oiling through the lower cap. Interesting about the two number 3s. They could have been mis-labelled? if it works and lets the air flow through then it could be fine, hard to tell with out seeing it myself.
@@TootinTim thanks for replying. I had put the oil right inside the valves, not just through the cap. Yes it does seem to play ok with the two number 3 valves (the 3 is etched in different places...on one it's at the top & the other its lower down...so perhaps possibly miss-labelled).
I have the same valve oil but how the heck do you take the cap off
This doesn't seem to work for my instrument, I can't find anything for my Mellaphone! Any tips?
my trumpet cant do this
what do you do if you over oil your vavels
Maria ditoppa you should have a cloth with the trumpet and wipe it off.
Could this same technique be used for other brass insruments like mellophones ad marching French horns? I imagine this sounds pretty elementary, but I just switched and would like to be sure
This works for the cornet/French horn, I know this because I used to own a French horn
Thx! :)
Thanks, Valve was Lagging
Ummm I think I messed up cuz I tried to put the valve back in and some like wood think is stuck outside of the valve please help
