Если вам нужен не большой кусочек листа метала, его обязательно нужно вырезать в центре листа..как с электродами)) ну и конеченно же эллектроды само то использовать для заваривания больших отверстий. И лучше бугорок наваривать см 5-6 чтоб потом героически счесывать его болгаркой

Намного быстрее вырезать круг из листа и им заглушить центральное отверстие, это на видео легко и просто, а реально вырижи эти все электроды по размеру, ввари их туда, и выгони весь шлак....
It would have been quicker, easier, cheaper, created less stress, been more environmentally friendly and made a better job to just weld a disc into the hole.
What I liked was the slow entrance with the grinder and the way he picked the rods up with the hand tool and slid them off camera. Growing up watching my dad weld and work around the shop, he did stuff like that when my brother and me were at the shop and he knew we were watching.

I'm a long time journeyman welder and I haven't met any good welders who aren't willing to share tricks, options or methods that will improve ones trade.
@@nikethegreat3486 basically they are showing how to fill large voids with additional metal. usually used if you don't have enough welding rods or are trying to complete in one pass. Some of these methods are nonsense but all require a little more skill than your beginner welder has for sure and can create issues. Certain places do not allow this because of potential for voids under in the weld among other things.
1. Inserts create inclusions in plug welds as the slag slips underneath the weld. Use a copper backing, fill the hole with weld, then grind the backing off after. 2. Cut a piece of cardboard to create a template for the hole and use it to mark some scrap plate. Trim to fit. Bevel appropriately, then weld. If you're having issues holding the plate in place, I saw you use a technique in a previous video for this: simply tack a couple pieces of scrap on top to secure the plate in place. You can even go the extra mile and use pieces of 1/2" round stock bent in a "U" shape so you can weld under them.

"Si te mandan hacer una brida ciega y haces lo del video, a parte de recibir burlas, esta asegurado que te tiren la brida a la chatarra y luego te manden a barrer o limpiar algún sector".

@5:19 I accidently hit the pause & stumbled onto amazing scenes by hitting play pause constantly. Images looked like the Hubble Telescope sending back images of...!! If you had the equipment & time to take still images of these welds happening I would certainly buy them they were amazing to see w/all the smoke & flux shooting off every where along w/the different brightness of the center molten metal. That was really cool techniques no doubt a Master Welder. I was only an apprentice iron pipe welder working for a construction engineering company that rebuilt a segment of the Phillips 66 Plant in Borger Texas after it blew up in Jan. 1980. I Am an auto body tech as well but haven't done this work since the early 80's. I would go into the Electrical Crew from the welding crews.....loved the work. Thank you for sharing your knowledge & incredible abilities w/us....I truly enjoyed watching your video n work..!
The real welding trick they don't want people to know on this channel is a magnet. 😆 they're all reusable and Sh!t. You don't have to cut up a bunch of rod everytime you weld in a plug. Wow. Revolutionary. If my shop foreman back in the day seen me do this he'd probably send me in for a random drug screen. 😆
So for the first hole, I'm going to say that if I hit where you put that slug with a ball pean hammer it would Crack and maybe fall out. For the last hole in the center why not trace the hole to a piece of metal, cut it out and then weld it in. You would have way less time and messing around. If that part has any structural value at all, these r no good and people could get hurt. But I guess everyone can weld lol.

Вырезать круг из фольги 4мм и обойтись одним электродом - не наш вариант! 🤔 Похерить 14 электродов (не считая тех, которые ушли на "какули поверх сего шедевра") - вот это дело! 🤣

Беляяять, я недавно такой же флянец искал, пипец как был нужен не работе. Пришлось сваркой вырезать с восьмёрки так как нет резака и дрель сломалась не вовремя. А тут билять поганит нужную вещь.

Find a piece of carbon or ultra high melting point steel, clamp it to the under side of hole, use numerous stick passes and cleans or preferably use MIG and numerous passes til the hole is filled, hammer off backing strip.

@@gobo667 well, sometimes we mess with people(mostly each other) cause it is fun. but in general we want people who want to learn to weld things to be able to make a good solid weld, like we do, so nobody gets injured.

This video simply should be taken as an "interesting things you can do with electrodes and how they work" demonstration. Gone are the times of trade and craftsmanship protectionism in most cases. This video title feeds on the remnants of that old mentality, but well, it got us all here. Maybe it's worth it to hear all of the true experts comedic and informative comments. Super deep... I must be bored.

Рекомендую почитать, что такое "флянец", и чем он отличается от фланца.
Как бы вы его (автора ролика) не называли, а он за неделю 1 200 000 просмотров набрал. И почти 6 000 лайков и 1 700 дизлайков (Ютюб их тоже учитывает, как поведенческий фактор) и 500 комментов. Find a piece of carbon or ultra high melting point steel, clamp it to the under side of hole, use numerous stick passes and cleans or preferably use MIG and numerous passes til the hole is filled, hammer off backing strip.
As a welder, a simple plug weld would have been much more efficient than any of those “tricks”. So #2 seemed to be the only valuable information here😮

У него стол железный, скорее всего второй провод где-то к столу прицеплен (и не факт, что масса - он может и на обратной полярности варить)
