Great video - it shows that the other vegetables still had some vitamins and minerals higher - therefore it is always a great idea to swap them around giving you an amazing profile of vitamins, minerals and omegas. You should also swap them around, especially if juicing them, as all greens are slightly poisonous, that's why the animals eat a variety of greens/grass to avoid this. Go the Kale !!! The poisons are a natural survival defense mechanism of the leafy greens.
When you get off white sugar, sugary drinks, processed foods, you can begin to listen to your body tell you what it needs. There are times I have an irresistible craving for kale so I know there's something in it my body is needing. For a while I was craving shrimp and sardines and couldn't seem to get enough of them,. Turned out, I was low on zinc and omega 3. Other times, I craved beef and was low on B vitamins. You really can't determine these things if you're stuck on the Standard American Diet, full of carbs and sugars because that's all you will crave, carbs and sugars. I'm glad to know that all of these greens provide so much nutrition and I can better pinpoint just what my cravings are telling me that I need.
Fantastic video, thank you. I had no idea kale had such a punch. I'd like to suggest doing another on Beet leaves, I've heard they are loaded, maybe compare with arugula and purple kale? Also I'd 2nd the vote for cilantro, love to see how it stacks up against say parsley and oregano or thyme or dill. You could make several videos on this.. Well thanks again, you rock! Keep em coming...
Another great video. Yes, I knew Kale was excellent, but not THAT much better. And now, your Kale Fermenting video. Thanks.
I have watched all ofyour nutrient comparison videos, and have had several surprises. The take away however is obvious: eat a variety of vegetables! Especially kale. Thank you so much!
Love these comparison videos. Thank you!
You rock 🎉!!
That was a lot of work and so appreciated! ❤
Yes these are wonderful. I'm a new subscriber, and we'll be going through your videos. I am a health fanatic myself. This is what RUclips should be all about. You have the most informative videos out . Thank you ever so much.
Such an awesome and informative video!!! I really appreciate the effort that you made, to educate us viewers! I am also curious about Cilantro. I was once told that it is more of a "SUPER FOOD" than kale, but I'm not sure how reliable the source was. 🤔 ... Thanks again for sharing all of your wonderful videos, and knowledge, with us! God bless you! 🙏🏻😎👍🏻🌹
Maybe but, cilantro tastes like soap to a lot of us so... I'll never know if it's good for me or not!
I grow at least three different types of kale year round. I am so excited to see your kale ferment video. Yay!!
In retrospect I am not very surprised because...at least here near the southern tip of africa kale will grow well in acid sandy soil where many nutrients are unavailability not available but chard needs a much better soil....neutral loam . Chard has incredibly deep roots and will survive where most other plants dont. It would be interesting to put your figures in perspective by adding an appropriate % of average humans daily requirements. Super video. Thanks so much. Go well.
These are the best videos!!! I have always wondered about the cabbage, I knew red would win out, but wow, what a difference across the board! I have also always wondered about lettuce, we always buy the red. I am going to watch that video now, I'm hooked, lol. Thanks for the effort put forth into these videos!
Not surprised. Thank you!
Hi I found your channel and is very interesting. I. New that the kale is A +. I saw the lettuces one am good I think that is good cause one complement the other one good good thank you so much. My grandson is an athlete I will pass your channel to him. Thank you so much
I knew kale is a supper food, but I didn't know the depth of it. Wow
You are just the greatest. I have no words. A restaurant near me does pickled watermelon rinds, so yummy but how to you use something you usually throw away. If possible that’s a good idea. Thanks.
My name is Everett and I love your channel. Can you do a comparison with arugula with other high ranking leafy greens? Thank you.
Hi Everett, I did an arugula video.... it's not like this set up, but it is informative if interested🙂 ruclips.net/video/oWSCJ04VSb4/видео.html
This was a great video. Do you think you’ll ever do a video comparing different sprouts, like broccoli, sprouts, and radish sprouts?
Thank You - time to start fermenting kale
I found the information very helpful.
How about the nutritional facts between all the different types of Kale : Regular, Tuscan (Dino), and Red!
Hello,
Can you do potatoes?
Sweet potatoes, red potatoes, yams, etc?
I haven't looked through all your videos yet. I just discovered you like 20 mins ago with your seed comparison video. I'm currently starting my healthy eating journey and am looking forward to learning more!
Thank you for all that you do! ❤
thank you very much for this informative video 🙋🏻♀️👍
kale must be the king of antiinflammatory vage...🏆🥇
You have no idea how this appeals to the nerd in me!
Thank you so much!
Another great video ❤❤❤❤
Wonderful! Please make a video comparing veggies in terms of their cloorophyll content. A new sub here!
Interesting idea, I'll keep that in mind🙂
Kale for the knockout 😳
I would love to see a comparison between red cabbage and kale. I had no idea that kale was more nutritious than spinach.
I don't eat stems of kale. Will that change the profile very much?
Have you ever tried Red or Green Malabar Spinach? It’s a tropical green actually not spinach but loaded with vitamins, minerals and nutrients in staggering proportions. I grew the Red from seeds which started slow but took off after a couple weeks in a larger planter with a trellis set up. Delicious and very beautiful frost sensitive but will be wintering in my southern double windows on a plant shelf.
I love this. I figured Kale was the champ veggie 😊
Definitely going to ferment 🥬 kale
I was very surprised and will be fermenting kale
Thank you❤
It would be good to compare crusifurus vegetables seeing they are the best of all greens, I'm guessing Kale will win in that category too
Very interesting.
I loooooove myself some kale! Lord knows I do!
So interesting. I hate Swiss chard so but I won't feel so guilty when I skip it I am going to research turnip and mustard greens as I'm guessing they are similar to spinach and kale will still be tops
Good to kno
Due to kales high oxalate content I stay away from kale and spinach as well. I eat mainly bok choy, if possible could you do the comparison of kale and bok choy
Awesome content, however I'd like to see Arugula in that mix.
I did a video on arugula: ruclips.net/video/oWSCJ04VSb4/видео.html
Great video. Now only if Kale would've taste bit more palatable. Hard to overcome it's bitterness.
Kale is tasty when sautéed lightly in butter, garlic& add some bell peppers for sweetness. I typically get baby Kale ; much better than the mature one which is not that tasty 😋!!!
Do something about dandolions for us poorer watchers.
I would have much rather seen a comparison on kale, collards and mustard. Those are all usually cooked and eaten the same way.
Would kale go good with scrambled eggs!
The kale fermenting video is unavailable. Any idea if it’s coming back?
Please include regulatory arugula!
Brilliant
Would have been good to have included nitrates. That is why I eat them -- you need nitrates in your diet to help keep nitric oxide levels high.
Can you do Collard vs. kale ?
I'd like a fourth contestant to be entered next time. Green collards!
Although kale has more calcium than spinach, it has far less oxaltes than does spinach, so anyone who wants to reduce the risk of kidney stones, kale is a much better choice than spinach. Beet greens are also high in oxalates, but not as high as spinach. Another green low in oxalates besides kale is arugula.
It's interesting to know the truth about these green guys.
Surprised at Kale. Thought spinach was it
Yes Kale, but I am susceptible to kidney stones! And for those who have never had one.. , especially sustained over hours, great, you have avoided an earthy wish for death to stop the pain.
I can’t have raw kale because of my thyroid sadly.
I like tha vid
I always thought swiss chard was top but wow wrong
Yay
You robbed Swiss Chard in round two.
Too bad kale tastes so bad.
Hmm what about arugula? I eat arugula everyday
I did a video on arugula here: ruclips.net/video/oWSCJ04VSb4/видео.html
