When organizing the collection and updating the highlight track, you advance the player's marker on the track a number of spaces equal to the Market Value of the card. So if you play a value 1 card and a value 3 card with a first appearance icon on them, you move the player's marker 4 spaces on the corresponding highlight track.
Oh you are right. I didn’t remember that being the case, but I was playing with the designer, so he may have just put the correct values and I didn’t realize. Thanks, I’ll update my errata comment.
Video Errata: 1:58 When removing tokens for less than 4 players, Doctor Strange should not be removed. Cards only featuring the removed heroes should be removed as well. 10:57 Tokens on the highlight track are increased by the market value of the card(s). The green token should have been placed at 4 for the first appearances. (Thanks Fabio R)
Holy cow this game is incredible! The different phases collecting comics is so thematic! The covers are incredible and for some nostalgic. You could spend the entire game just looking at the cards; even pulling out your real copies and reading them haha. The game has our natural desire to collect these comics built into the mechanisms. When (please God, please let it be) this comes to the US, I'm definitely getting a copy.
They are definitely face up. All cards are revealed (see Page 8), then first player chooses a lot to start bidding on. Would be a complete guessing game with the cards face down and not at all thematic.
I just got my hands on the new North American copy of this game from Barnes & Nobles. I noticed the scoring section "Highlights" is different in this version. The stars in your version have it according to how many players there are. In the english copy there are just 4 stars ( 15, 12, 8, 3). Do you think this changes the game to much or makes it worse/better?
Do the rules say anything about ignoring one of the ranks with less players? If they don't it definitely shifts the game more towards collecting sets regardless of the highlight icons they have, since icons will only give you a 3 point gain. Can't say it is better or worse until I try out with the modified rules though.
It does not include English rules in the game box, but there is translated rules with official graphics on Board Game Geek. More importantly, Spin Master and Arcane Wonders just announced that they are releasing the game together in North America.
@@brettpetersen1671 this is the original Brazilian edition, so the tokens may be different from the new Spin Master/Arcane Wonders one (I haven’t seen it yet).
If you don't mind dropping ~$10, I upgraded my Barnes & Noble copy with a small metal keychain Thor hammer to replace the 1st player marker 😅 (I removed the keychain and loop)

Thanks for the teach! Also those blown up board game tiles on the wall are amazing!
Thank you and thank you, I really like them.
Throwing more comments in here because people need to see this video!
Thanks for watching and commenting! Definitely share with your friends and get the word out.

My feelings exactly, I really hope this gets published here. I can only play it with so many people.
Can't wait to start a Spider-Man collection!
During the auction phase I believe the cards are supposed to be faced down so you only see the back of the cards

I noticed some comics I've actually read! I say actually because I was born in the 90's and didn't really read comics.
Also a 90s baby and I actually own some of the modern comics in the game.
Very easy to follow, thanks
Thank you, hope you enjoy Comic Hunters!

In Rulebook it still staggers scoring the same but the board doesn’t represent it.
Great video, thank you :)
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Being it was manufactured in Brazil does the instructions and text in the game come in English?

Where did you get the nice tokens for this??
This is the original edition from Brazil, not the new B&N one. I've seen some cool 3D prints if you want to upgrade your tokens.
@@tabletalkreviews dang I have the Barnes and noble one. Yours sounded metal? Lol
@@KMReviews They're not metal, but they are thicker cardboard than the B&N ones.
Great, thanks.
Thanks for watching! Have fun playing.
Where did you get those tokens from?

@@tabletalkreviews Yeah, they are super cheap , almost paper thin, print and play quality.
