Thanks for running through a different scenario, since most videos so far are of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants one. I'm surprised how poorly this game scales. The higher player counts seem so much more interesting and fun. Elder Sign came out 10 years ago, and works fine at low player counts.
@David Ko You are welcome, and thanks for watching! 3 or more is where this game will shine, but glad to have the option for 2 characters but comparing to Elder Sign, I would recommend it for 1 to 2 characters.
Been waiting for this. I love the scenario that you picked. It was an awesome storyline in the comics, in my opinion. I love the concept of Krakoa, the Living Island!
I had no intention of buying this game. I love the X-Men and really want to see them in Champions, but this one did not seem that exciting from the box. Watching your play through, it looks more interesting than I imagined. Think I'm going to give it a shot. Really enjoying your videos. Keep them coming.
@Bishop Tull thanks for watching and subscribing! The card holders are UberStax and can be found at www.uberstax.com (I'll put a link to another video I did highlighting them). And the dice tray come from a D&D dice set. Hope that helps, and happy dice rolling!! :)
Thanks for the playtrough! I play the game solo with 4 heroes (I hand me 4 random ones). Management is really easy and it's more fun to play, like you said. I really like this game!
@Lexi Young Thanks for watching! They are UberStax and you can find purchase information for them at www.uberstax.com . Hey Dale - thanks for all the great content. I am playing the game right now but have run into a basic problem. I am assisting wolverine with colossus but that gives wolverine 5 red die. The box only comes with 4!!!!! What am I supposed to do? Do you know?
@Mads Dalager I think that's the only combo that has that issue, and I haven't seen an official FAQ. For me, I'd roll the 4 dice, find a way to mark one of the dice, and then re-roll one of them again. That could get confusing with multiple re-rolls. Some other options people are using is just take a training token, or choose another die to roll. Good luck with the Fastball Special! :)
Thanks for the quick respons. Your Content is awesome and love to watch Marvel champions and x-men insurrection. Insurrection is actually great with three Heroes in solo.
@@DaletheCasualGamer That makes sense. The game needs a lot of space. You mentioned you had a shop in one of the playthroughs. Does it ship to Denmark? If it does can you throw a link?
@@madsdalager7499 Hello to Denmark!! :) By "shop" I mean store where I game at regularly, I don't own or manage it. It's a small retail shop that doesn't do online sales. They have nice sized tables and allow me and some friends to act like kids (responsible and respectful kids) and play games. :) I wish I owned a store, just for the purpose of getting games ahead of release dates. :)
@Robert Wood Lots of dice = lots of randomness, so definitely not a game for everybody. Thanks for Stepping into the Portal and then coming over for a Casual playthrough! :)

The game didn’t get good reviews from many people, but I think it’s a solid game and hope to see some expansions! I guess we’ll see what asmodee let’s FFG do.
There needs to be some clarifications on how assist cards work with 3 heroes at a location I'm wondering if the same assist card can be used multiple times by the different heroes
Assist cards are giving to other heroes once they go to the location. So each hero can only have one, but all can swap with others at the same place. Hope that makes sense. :)

I was gonna get this but game reviewers have savaged it. Also this game is really weird lol. What a odd rule system but I also ended up selling Elder Sign after a year or so
I noticed that too. I also noticed most played it solo, which is not the optimal way to play. I enjoy it “ok” solo, but did have a lot of fun within my play group playing it 3, 4 and 5 player. If you play mainly solo, I would recommend Elder Sign over this, but if you plan to play 3 or more players and you’re X-men fans who like rolling dice, I’d recommend this game.
Great gameplay and review...thanks
Thanks dale for another excellent play through,if I get a new game now I always look to see if you have a play through of it.well done.

@Donavan Loy The game was designed for 1 to 6 players, so you'll need to boxes and to split the party. ;)
