Great video, but you shouldn't submerge the brim, it has cardboard in it, and will never go back to the way it was. Just get the part of the hat that goes on your head wet.
I have never Done any bright colored hats. So I'm not sure. It's worked well all the ones that I've done but they've all been black or blue. Thanks for watching! Be sure to subscribe! Have a great day
I can not tell you I have tried myself, but I do not see why it would be a problem. I've done several types of hats n no issue. Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe! Have a great day!
No it's not hot enough to melt it. The mesh may not shrink too awful much but the band elastic is really what you're trying to shrink a little anyways for a better fit. Thanks for watching the video be sure to subscribe if you're not already! Have a great day!
It should take it down a little bit. It's not exactly a miracle cure by any means. But it's worked for me several times just to get a little bit better fit and I've talked to a lot of people on here that it's worked well for. Hope it works for you!
Absolutely! Any fitted hat I believe. May want to check the hat size periodically while drying just to make sure theres no chance of over shrinkage. But if you do over shrink theres a video on my channel to stretch a fitted hat too! Subscribe today!
@@WhoIsBenji i actually didnt try it, but i did take some double-sided tape and put it inside the sweatband of the hat. this kinda adds more volume and will fit better imo
It has not on any I have dun. If it's a quality hat, the color should not run in just water. Hope this helps! Be sure to subscribe for more! Have a great day!
I cannot say that I'm 100% sure. I've never had any problems with dye coming out on any of my hats. But I cannot say I've ever done a red one either. Thanks for watching! Be sure to subscribe and let me know how the hat goes!
Hello German friend! I would think so. The one in the video had an elastic band in it and seemed to do fine! Thanks for watching! Be sure to subscribe and share! Thanks again.
Wow lol this works man my hat was kinda loose and I just did this now my hat has a snug fit. Thanks man!
I'm glad it worked for you! Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe!
This worked on a Nike dri fit hat, navy and red, no damage to the colors. Thanks a lot!
Thanks for the vid. I had a 7 1/8 that fit like a 7 1/4. Your water trick worked awesome thanks bro

Does it damage the color? I have a vivid red cap and im worried about the color damage. Thanks for video. Great tips.

I have a red New Era. You think the red will run into the white? I want to try but hate to turn my nice white accents pink
It won't damage embroidery?
I haven't had any issue
Does it work with NBA hat
I can not tell you I have tried myself, but I do not see why it would be a problem. I've done several types of hats n no issue. Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe! Have a great day!
You don't dip in the brim right? Just the sweat band?
I don’t think that’s needed since the only part that actually ment to be fitted is the band
Shouldn't have to dip the brim
can this shrink the puffyness of that hat as well? Thats the only problem i have. The hat fits perfect other than that
I would say it's probably doing more for the actual elastic headband in the Hat.
Buy a hat and get a free car. That popped me

I know this is old video but my hat has a real suede peak … it’s wool .. I want to try this but will the suede perish in the dryer ?!
Maybe. I'm not sure. I wouldnt take the chance.
@@andyscornerhvac I done it this morning + it worked 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 bill is still in tact too ! Thank you 😎😎😎
Sweet! I wasn't sure how it would come out on a hat like that! I'm glad to see it work now we can tell people in the future!

What about 80% acrylic and 20% wool fitted hats
@@Zeus2024-p4j not 100% sure. I would watch it extremely close in the dryer or maybe best to let it air dry.
U think a size 8 hat can shrink to side 7 3/8?
@@bluemagic3102 i dont think so i shrink mine it was a 71/2 and it went to a 73/8
Is the brim submerged to or no?
No
is it okay if i just hold the brim (not dipping it) and dip the rest in?
I was wondering too.. did u try it?

could i use a hair dryer to dry it up?

No, hairdryers only work on hair. Gosh!
Thanks man
