The clue lies a bit in the Japanese lyrics, "shuushite" is "sew it up", but shuu sounds close to chu, which means "kiss". So it's a pun where she gets very close to imply we should kiss, but twists it just enough that you're just mishearing things. It's a masterpiece in how much of a tease it is.
Marine's songs are the one's that really stands out, out of all the songs from each talent, Personally. This song in particular is pretty aesthetically pleasing. Like if music had "asmr" or something close to that.
Yeah, Unison is WILD. The music has this weird effect where it seems like it is building to a drop for nearly the entire song, but never getting there. The visuals seem to imply that you were in a shipwreck, and Marine is trying to rescue you while you are a bit delirious. Some of the visuals + lyrics are Marine asking you to please choose what outfit she should wear, while the lyrics alone seem to say she is seeking your validation by choosing her (over others, I think?)
Unison is definitely one of the most unique and experimental songs in Hololive. I've fallen in love with this song from first time hearing it. My personal theory is that this song is sung from the perspective of her outfits. If you look at the video, when she's singing "please choose me" and such, there's a whole bunch of Marine's all of them wearing different outfits (all of those are real outfits Marine has, and I believe that is ALL the outfits she had at the time the song came out). Further, it's about Marine's indecision on what clothes she should wear, as is evidenced by her eventually choosing them ALL (the magical girl transformation sequence has her wear an amalgam of all 5 outfits merged into 1). In that context the "sew me up" lyrics make a lot more sense too.

I feel like this song kind of proved to Cover Corp. and the other talents that it can be worth it to heavily invest in a quality MV and original music outside the realm of more standard JPop style. And to follow it up with the success of Treasure Box using the same principles really showed the way forward for Hololive music. Now we see the musically inclined talents experimenting more, branching out and highlighting their own unique styles. Sasuga Senchou.

For me this song is unique, you are hearing a new type of song and is just really amazing. A final lore for the song, Noel was the one that tell to use whispers in the song, so Marine did it and that's why it had this ASMR feeling of it.

As a Hololive Listener who loves club music, it is a banger along with SOS by Midnight Grand Orchestra (Hoshimachi Suisei). Your reaction is exactly what i felt listening to this song for the first time, it's so uniquely hypnotizing and weird. It geniunely fucked me up on a first listen, because i couldn't handle how minimal yet overwhelming the production of the track is and Marine's vocal giving a lost ethereal sensation to the whole thing. She really pull something wholly unique here that i don't think anybody could ever replicate, Hololive or otherwise.

I missed this coming out after asking for it so often! Rats! It's a very dense song, both visually, musically, and lyrically. BUT! This one has always felt to me, lyrically, like Marine trying to appeal to you the viewer- not in a cheeky way, but in a sweet, lovey way. Whether it's the cheeky captain, an impetuous little girl, a fancy and wise lady, or a hottie with a body, she wants to appeal to you- but whatever choice you make is okay, because it's all still her! It feels like a very warm song to me, and the 4-part self harmony is something I always come back for as well. It might still be my favorite Holo original.

1:46 I’m fairly sure that Marine’s Treasure Box is the single most popular song Cover/Hololive have ever released (don’t quote me on that though) It currently has 36 Million views on RUclips. Only Gura and Calli’s King comes close in terms of views, and Senchou’s made it on radio multiple times in Japan.

She has that enchanting vibe to her as well, and as a pirate captain her songs like treasure box and her first original song capture the adventurous and lustful side of her, this song capture the still, calm, and simply beautiful serenity of the open seas and tide.
The captain of my heart, I just love her voice. This song is really strange, but I just enjoy it so much. She has such a great quality to her voice and her range is quite broad, she can do cutesy or more aggressive if she wants and she does it really well in my opinion.

Unison is great, it has so many layers to it that a few other commenters have already pointed out I want to leave 3 recommendations for reactions: For a Hololive song, "Fake.Fake.Fake" by AZKi, it's a great song I don't see recommended anywhere and has a funny MV For a game OST, "Smell of the Game" and/or "Heavy Day" from Guilty Gear. Both have a full version as well as an opening version. And finally, for anime openings, the openings to Yu-gi-oh! Duel Monsters are amazing and super underrated as most people associate the anime with the western opening

Yeah it'll take a couple replays to understand but I really like the experimental stuff that Yunomi makes, the composer for UNISON, and I really like how it's a mix of memories of marine asking you to choose an outfit that fits and being delirious as marine saves you from drowning. On another note, you reminded me that Ookami Mio has a song that I personally believe rivals Po (similar style and art) called WAN WAN WAON (わんわんわおーん)

I love Unison and all the word plays Senchou uses. My canon is that it's a lost Houshou no Ichimi delirium, after getting lost at the sea, like most stories of mermaids around the world, thats why the ending.
The song is mainly percussion and vocals so there's a rhythmic vibe to it. And from what I remember, the MV is about you drowning after falling overboard Marine's ship but was luckily saved by Marine herself.
This song really sold me on Marine's singing. Up to this point it had been very tongue in cheek and campy, but this blew me away. Sasuga Senchou. IMO, she is up there with Cali as one of the most multi-talented Hololive members.

They released new cover song yesterday at 17th of August (Independence Day of Indonesia). The song title is "Terhebat - hololive ID [Cover]", featuring 9 of them singing together. My man, I think you are now ready to watch "Umisea - 浸食!! 地球全域全おーしゃん". Umisea is a group made up of all the ocean themed people in hololive. So Marine, Aqua, Chloe, Gura and Ina. And their first song is quite a treat.
Marine's Unison is the example of her talent and would show how being experimental in their songwriting/composing (the agency and talents themselves) would lead. That and most one take away that I don't really find mentioned is that when directly translating Japanese lyrics, you need to keep in mind that there are some things that cannot be translated. Many of which are their local onomatopoeias and a bunch of wordplay, so that stuff usually doesn't have an english equivalent (since seldom JP words tend to rhyme with each other). So don't mind not getting the lyrics sometimes.
Some notes: 1. The song is HEAVY influenced by the composer, Yunomi, that is a very influent figure in a very niche genre, kawaii-pop. It's all in kawaii-pop style, aka minimal electronic base with soft/cute voice on it. 2. The lyric are a bunch of double meanings/word jokes, but can be explained in two ways: a) You're part of marine shipcrew, but marine crashed and saved you from drowning while you had a delirious dream about her; b) Marine choosing what dress to use in stream, from dresses PoV (yup). 3. Unison remains one of the most original hololive songs by virue of the two points above.
I swear to god I'm not lying I love Marine for her creativity but despite enjoying my fair share of ecchi I shy away from Hololive when it comes to those things but a marine does make it hard she really is the ideal woman for alot out there even other women she actually has like one of the the higher female fan ratios in Hololive

For me it's totally Marine's vocals, essentially providing the entirety of the melody by herself and also a good deal of the harmony. The visuals also provide an idea of what the lyrics are saying. Just keep in mind that Marine is a cosplaying "pirate" who doesn't want to just cosplay anymore.
Day 93 of recommending the Beyblade openings. There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. i've said it before and i'll keep saying: marine has the ability take her voice right on the border between cutesy and annoying and _keep it there,_ i find it really impressive personally. it could so easily get annoying but it doesn't. the ammount of practice she must've put in to get her voice to do that is seriously impressive
This song is a bit special because it uses something akin ASMR which is very noticeable with headphones. Really the song itself is pretty much meant to be very catchy and the first time I listened to it became ultra addicted to it listening to it day in and out not to mention the animation was just amazing, very well animated too.

Damn... this song is so make me so relax wtf, it's so chill, refreshing, the sound of water on my ear make me feel i'm in the ocean, the whisper, the bubble sound, everything.. it will make it feel real if u try to close your eyes.. shit, but if u use speaker full bass for this, the beat bruh... damn, it's kick it... that's make it more cool thou, Yunomi make it even better in this song.. he's already famous with his beat, but in unison? marine and yunomi make something more different.. just like what i said, marine music always have unique aura, it's different with other music or other holo talent music have, not just unique that make people curious about it, but it also worth it to hear it, that's what make her more cool.. her work is always amazing, she also make it with High quality MV even in this second song she have, the choreo is also good thou.. and i just want to say it, if u want to chill and relax hear some music, when u hear this... im sure she will hypnotize u in a sec with this, and for me? i'm really need this... sometimes i need a time when i want to run away for a sec from how hard this world is, and this song was really help me with that.

She has that enchanting vibe to her as well, and as a pirate captain her songs like treasure box and her first original song capture the adventurous and lustful side of her, this song capture the still, calm, and simply beautiful serenity of the open seas and tide.

For a Hololive song, "Fake.Fake.Fake" by AZKi, it's a great song I don't see recommended anywhere and has a funny MV
For a game OST, "Smell of the Game" and/or "Heavy Day" from Guilty Gear. Both have a full version as well as an opening version.
And finally, for anime openings, the openings to Yu-gi-oh! Duel Monsters are amazing and super underrated as most people associate the anime with the western opening

Yeah it'll take a couple replays to understand but I really like the experimental stuff that Yunomi makes, the composer for UNISON, and I really like how it's a mix of memories of marine asking you to choose an outfit that fits and being delirious as marine saves you from drowning.
On another note, you reminded me that Ookami Mio has a song that I personally believe rivals Po (similar style and art) called WAN WAN WAON (わんわんわおーん)

My man, I think you are now ready to watch "Umisea - 浸食!! 地球全域全おーしゃん". Umisea is a group made up of all the ocean themed people in hololive. So Marine, Aqua, Chloe, Gura and Ina. And their first song is quite a treat.
Marine's Unison is the example of her talent and would show how being experimental in their songwriting/composing (the agency and talents themselves) would lead. That and most one take away that I don't really find mentioned is that when directly translating Japanese lyrics, you need to keep in mind that there are some things that cannot be translated. Many of which are their local onomatopoeias and a bunch of wordplay, so that stuff usually doesn't have an english equivalent (since seldom JP words tend to rhyme with each other). So don't mind not getting the lyrics sometimes.

1. The song is HEAVY influenced by the composer, Yunomi, that is a very influent figure in a very niche genre, kawaii-pop. It's all in kawaii-pop style, aka minimal electronic base with soft/cute voice on it.
2. The lyric are a bunch of double meanings/word jokes, but can be explained in two ways: a) You're part of marine shipcrew, but marine crashed and saved you from drowning while you had a delirious dream about her; b) Marine choosing what dress to use in stream, from dresses PoV (yup).
3. Unison remains one of the most original hololive songs by virue of the two points above.

For me it's totally Marine's vocals, essentially providing the entirety of the melody by herself and also a good deal of the harmony. The visuals also provide an idea of what the lyrics are saying. Just keep in mind that Marine is a cosplaying "pirate" who doesn't want to just cosplay anymore.

There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!
i've said it before and i'll keep saying: marine has the ability take her voice right on the border between cutesy and annoying and _keep it there,_ i find it really impressive personally. it could so easily get annoying but it doesn't. the ammount of practice she must've put in to get her voice to do that is seriously impressive
