Tried joining the Facebook group but they are unresponsive, shame really because times are hard and i would like to fix my battery so i can fly my Spark! Thanks for the video anyway.
it's been quite a while since iv been on there too if I'm honest and I lost my spark during a house move and the end of last year and haven't been able to replace it nor the interest to either with the laws all changing ever worse for what I wanted to do, I do hope you get sorted with it and may still be able to help if there's anything else specific you need to know so feel free to ask and I'll do my best

Ok, so if you have tested this and it is a working concept, why is it not shown in the video? Essentially what you have shown is how to dissemble a battery. To anyone reading this, use a meter and test everything, don’t just arbitrarily start soldering on a battery because someone said to. TEST EVERYTHING!

no, unfortunately the board goes into sort of self destruct and cannot be powered up again
I dont see anywhere in the video where you actually mod anything. All you do is take the case off, "show" us where to connect wires and put it back together still stock. How is this 100% tested and working and you didn't even wire a thing? LOL

Saw this on the Dark Side and looks interesting. Thanks for sharing! Any advice on battery size? What I'm asking is other than the obvious weight issue, can I overdo it with another battery which has too much mAh? Thanks!
the basic starting point I'd say is 1300mah 11.1v and weight as close to, or under 100g as possible and the lighter the better but less than 1300 and you wont gain anything much

all the people that gave this a thumbs down work for DJI. 1. what do you do at charging time? do you charge both connected 2. does the DJO GO 4 app show the increase in power ?
charge as normal without an external battery attached and charge the external lipo however you wish, just not attached to the spark battery, the app shows approx voltage remaining yes, to learn more go to facebook.com/groups/TheSparkSide/

won't you have a wrong reading of the % left in the battery?
you need to use modded assistant2 and select non dji battery then you still get the % and voltage details
I removed the old cells and then connected new lipo battery balance connector the charge indicator is shown full. BMS does not turn on!
Double clicking does not take BMS on!

why did you remove the cells???...nowhere in the video did I say to do that as you will need to reprogram the bms in order to get it back on again!!

Cuting your batery and then batery lock cannot charger
I'm not quite sure what you mean but the battery will charge once you put it back together again if you do it correctly
@@mattwilson1213 jumper paralel with lipo 3s 1500mah and then cut the old sell batery , safe ?
@@masbroo9707 no dont remove the old cells, the BMS will shut down regardless and will need reprogramming
@@mattwilson1213 do not increase the load of the drone and the motor will be damaged quickly

then you either didnt follow my instructions correctly or you didnt actually do it at all lol, follow the Facebook link for proof of others doing it and any further help, you will find myself and others there to help, thanks
@@mattwilson1213 i just tried it again my orange led lights up the esc lights up i get the beep than it all turns off

Turning the bat as fast as possible so no one sees the bat showing a blinking error code. ? Why hack something that is perfectly functioning? Nonsense! Want more flying time? Buy a drone wich can fly longger.
you clearly dont like to modify yours, I on the other hand, do...there is no error code and all the proof can be seen in the link to the group provided...dont believe me, ho have a look lol
