He was born as a miracle baby so it's how she originally thought of him but then he 'failed' at his job so she stop viewing him that way. But I did love the look of confuses faces in the room
Yeah, I'm not defending how they raised him, but grief caused by the death of a child can absolutely break a person. I'm glad it looks like they're finally trying to work through it and have a different relationship with Buck.

Okay here’s my problem with the big gaps between the 6a and 6b. This has come out of nowhere! All of it! The way the Buckley’s are acting is a total 180 from last time they came, it’s unsettling! 2. Last we heard of the donor story Buck literally called himself a father when telling the 118, so what happened between then and now? And Albert going to Korea and then ambushing Chim with his dad and his step mom?! I love Albert but he was so messed up to just bring him by with no warning or consent with Chim! I love the show but they really need to do a better job filling in the blanks during the hiatus so we’re not all going….🥴🤨🤯😅🤦♀️
What was confusing to me is the part where everyone is getting along and Buck says to Maddie that he wonders what it would have been like if Daniel had lived. Well he (Buck) would not even exist. The parents had Buck to save Daniel. Right?
They had him so that Daniel could have a viable bone marrow donor. If the transplant had been successful, both Buck would exist and Daniel would be alive.
Don't get me wrong I am happy 9-1-1 is back but was kinda disappointed of Chimney's father's return. Since we all know his father is an asshole confirmed by Chimney's mothers friend. I was expecting him to be angry at Chimney for naming his granddaughter after his late ex-wife and later he is sick or injured and Chimney has to save him and Chimney has a flashback to his childhood of him and his father. And they both reconcile.
I feel like the happenings in this episode are going to make Buck think more about the sperm donor thing, especially after the incident at the end of the episode.
Only trouble is if Buck gets married and has other children, he will have to explain they have a brother out there , also what happens if the parents die ?, Who would look after the boy then ?.
Buck has no legal relationship to the future child. If the parents die then he will go to whoever they designated as a godparent, or if there isn't one, to their next of kin.

Honestly, this is easier then a lot of donors who never tell their kids that they donated. Buck at least will know the child and be able to tell their kids who exactly they are related to.

It comes across to me as: I never had any issues with dad and he's always been good to me, so your experience can't be real/can't have been that bad. He comes across as very dismissive and very naïve.
