If you wanted to the small bits that aren’t good for spinning make excellent stuffing for pillows or what ever instead of polyester. They sell the short bits from sheep shearing for the same purposes by the bag. It’s called wool bolus.
Thanks so much…I loved your video. I am going to try making my own wool from my dog . Thanks to your videos I have the confidence to move forward. I live in Goderich Ontario and I have a golden doodle named Sheamus he sheds a lot. Maybe we could keep in touch.?Blessings and Happy New Year..
Hi, that would be amazing! We just moved from Ontario to BC but were in Waterloo! Let me know if you have any questions or would just some more detailed videos on the process. I’d love to see what you come up with!
Great video. Adding to my craft tutorial. I have standard Poodles so non shedding dog. Yet brushing, while is not desired to have fur come off when brushing them, it still happens. BUT the grooming of the fur by shaving it off is how I collect their fur so wondering if you have any tips for preparing the fur that is shaved off.
Thanks for the comment! I've read that you need the entire shaft of the hair rather than a cutting, but I'd honestly just try to twist some together and see what happens. I'd be interested in how this goes!
A really beautiful and well groomed dog.

The rug you made with his fur is delicious. Beyond descriptions. ❤
Oh thank you!
I was just thinking of using the butt fur in stuffing for pillows
ooooo could do. It's still very warm!

@@theothesammy i hope it works. alot pf what i shave is to the skin so hope that works,,,but will see....will do a video when I do my first batch.
it's so strange to see a samoyed owner wearing dark colored clothes and not having fur all over them 😂
hahahaha It's commonplace. One time someone asked my husband if he had a dog and he asked how they knew. He was covered in samoyed fur lol
