  • We spent six months traveling all over Baja California and Baja California Sur Mexico. Now we’re back stateside and spending the night in a glamorous refurbished 100 year old cowboy bunkhouse in Mountain Center, California. But we need food, and Renee wanted a Coke! So I volunteered to drive down the mountain to the city of Palm Desert. Not as easy a task as I thought it would be. Finding a grocery store in a city without the normal signs at the street! Locals know where everything is I’m sure, but can I find what we needed? And more importantly…can I find the bunkhouse after the sun has set?

Laura it was a neat area. Not Mountain Center, but we could definitely see ourselves living in Palm Desert. Cool town. Bet you’re right on the toasty-factor!! Hope you are having an awesome week!! 😎

It is a very nice area indeed. I had to make a comment on the fancy pop. It costs more here! The costs in The States are astronomical.😢

@lauras8674 agreed! Inflation sucks when you’re retired on a very limited budget! Oh well, I’ll cross that location off my list of long term retirement plans 😂

Great video. We had a feeling the first thing you were gonna notice, was the price difference between California and Baja Mexico. Let us know how that soda tasted. My wife and I are from Southern California.

Thank you Gerald! Renee actually liked the Poppi soda. Generally I’m not a soda fan but she thought it was pretty good. Hope you’re doing well. We’re so glad that you enjoy our adventures! 😎

and yes; palm desert don’t allow drive thru restaurants or coffe place either.
my husband and i live in La Quinta Cove and we do not have street lights because people want to be able to look at the stars at night.

@veronicamedrano2470 that’s cool! I love the night sky! Was just looking at some of the 10,000,000+ homes for sale there on Zillow. Wow!
