  • Gene, Renee, and our pup Ginny have spent six months traveling south from Ensenada all the way down to Cabo San Lucas and back.
We visited Ensenada, Guerrero Negro, Loreto, La Paz, Todos Santos, El Pescadero, El Triunfo, Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo, Los Barriles, Miraflores, San Antonio, La Ventana, El Sargento, Ciudad Constitucion, Mulege, Santa Rosalia, and San Filipe.
In our travels we’ve shown you grocery stores, hardware stores, restaurants, beaches, natural wonders, museums, took a boat tour of La Paz bay, historic old towns, and a huge salt mining operation. What an amazing journey!!!
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to cross the border from Mexico back into the USA…this will definitely be an eye opener!
Thank you friend for joining us on the Journey ! ❤️

because.. employers paying one person to do several employees jobs/tasks. Expensive to live and they don't want to pay a living wage for the USA nor give a full 40 hours with healthcare. Our healthcare, groceries, housing , daycare are very expensive and healthcare is tied to employment with a 40 hour work week.

Thank you Michael! We really miss Baja California! 😢 Hadn’t really thought about the amount we spent there although we live frugally. I’ll work on that and make an episode about budgeting. Thanks for the suggestion! Take care amigo, hope you keep joining us each week! 😎

How do you know if your pet wants to pee or poop on those long car trips across the highway? Have your pet ever had a little accident with that issue inside your car? 🤭😂😂
8:00 it shows that all mexicans are nice people is a myth 😂😂

    • @GeneandRenee
      @GeneandRenee  6 месяцев назад

Never been asked this question before 🤣. Ginny is small (she only weighs about 7 pounds or 3 kilograms) so it’s not hard when you’re in line at the border to open my door (with her on the leash) and let her do a quick pee. Plus she would whine if she needed to “go.” As to taking care of the more serious “duty,” that dog is on a schedule. She’s going to poop around 7am and then again around 3pm. She’s like clockwork! 😀 Ginny has never had an accident in the car (and she’s now 16.5 years old). Thanks for watching Gustavo! I think you will enjoy all of our upcoming episodes!! 😎

Additional comment do not drink a bunch of water or soda when you're in that borderline because there's nowhere to go

Lol they stuck up for you both. That's cool. I would've just let the person in. Doesnt make the time much longer. But that person was very persistent. I liked the donkey lol. I know 180 days is longest. Pretty cool what you do. And yeah window washers that happens in newark and P-town. Those red lights they get ya. I love mexico so i understand the melancholy music 😉

Thanks amigo! We’re Temporary Residents so don’t have to worry about the 180 days stuff. Will be upgrading to Permanent Residents in 2026. I agree, I would have let the person in also. Really wasn’t a big deal to us. 🤠

@@GeneandRenee Amiga 😉 Oh nice! Awesome on future plan. I went last year for a wedding and immediately wanted to move 😆 Really helps the fibromyalgia and got 0 headaches while there. I did a bunch of research. It has to do with the high elevation and warm climate. So I'm going back next month to celebrate Dia de Los Muertos. It's called something different in Yucatan. Everyone celebrates differently by location, pretty cool. I'll actually be in Mexico on election day also. Which should be interesting 🤔. Instead of being a FL snowbird I may choose MX. As fully moving disability gets taken away 😔 $700/mo does nothing here though. But it would be great to feel more normal 3 months out of 12 lol. Thank you for your videos, sharing your girls 😊 and the replies. Love lil Ginny and your narratives 🙏

I like that ceramic bulldog on the left while you were in line. I'll pass on the ceramic Chucky, thanks. LOL! I think they have brought that over as a Netflix series or new movie or something.
I can't imagine sitting in that line for 4 hours just to get out. Thank goodness for cell phones and You Tube!
WOW! That was nice of those guys. What a jerk trying to cut the line.
It really helps to see firsthand what is going on there and to hear you explain the poverty situation. I think what's happening at the US border right now is kind of overkill though. It's not just a few thousand trying to get across. It's millions and you can't tell if they are from Mexico or countries further south or what. I understand they probably cant afford to go the legal immigration route or wait it out, but I'm pretty sure I can't just walk into any country I please and get government aid or become an instant citizen or whatever. It's not a racist thing. It's a "follow the rules", balanced economic, and don't overpopulate the country type of thing. If this is being done to force political votes out of these individuals, that's certainly not right. They are just being used. Work Visas are great if they want to come to the USA to work and fill jobs nobody wants or are too lazy to do. But millions at a time? That's just suspect. A lot are being pre-programmed or propagandized (is that a word?) to favor a certain political party in exchange for assistance. I don't think that's right either. The US can't even fix it's own poverty problems and has poor government officials that obviously don't want to either for their agenda or too busy scamming their millions before they leave office. Anyway...I will stop there.
Thanks for giving us a firsthand tour of the Baja Penninsula. What a great series and I'm glad you all got in and out ok. 👍
