I had an idea, inspired by TCNick3’s “50 most painful Smash moves” video… imagine if every move in the game did as much damage as the move looks painful? So BJ and Sonic’s down-throws would be INSANE, for example, while other innocent-looking attacks would do barely any damage. Could be a cool mod.

I wouldn't say Gengar has the most F'd up Pokédex entry! There are some good ones from Cacturne (Sapphire/AS: If a traveler is going through a desert in the thick of night, Cacturne will follow in a ragtag group. The Pokémon are biding their time, waiting for the traveler to tire and become incapable of moving), Sliggoo (Sun: It has trouble drawing a line between friends and food. It will calmly try to melt and eat even those it gets along well with), Gourgeist (Sword: Eerie cries emanate from its body in the dead of night. The sounds are said to be the wails of spirits who are suffering in the afterlife; Y: It enwraps its prey in its hairlike arms. It sings joyfully as it observes the suffering of its prey)
And of course, Driftloon...(Legends Arceus: Said to lure away young children and carry them off to the afterlife. Some whisper that Drifloon are formed of reincarnated human souls, but these rumors are as yet unconfirmed)
I never did find out how much better CHOMP (Neutral B) is with Gengar, since his special attack is supposedly higher.
I mean yeah but like gengar is consistently crazy with the Dex entries like gmax gengars mouth being a gateway to the afterlife, gengar hiding in a person's shadow before stealing their life, it's mega form in sun saying it has no interest in opponents unless it perceives them as prey and in ultra moon the fact that mega gengar will 'take the lives of anyone and everyone' and place a curse on its master
Ok, I know for a fact that’s Drifloons DP or Platinum Entry, not Legends Arceus. It’s Legends Arceus Entry talks about how people think it looks melancholy and how people have dedicated poems to Drifloon.
@@pyraswolf4263 from how I understood the changes chomp would do less damage. I think they were going off of how the attacks look. For example during the Rob fight they stated laser and gyro which are projectiles would do more damage because of special attack, but that the side b would do less. Chomp looks like a physical attack even if it’s a Smash Special Move so it does less. They state this several times with other characters like how Charizards other specials outside of flamethrower are weaker.
One of my favorite Pokédex entries is Bewear's from Moon: "This Pokémon has the habit of hugging its companions. Many Trainers have left this world after their spines were squashed by its hug."

Yeah I thought it was going to be Link or something. But I'm sure it's much easier to keep the model consistent and lose a bit of the connection to the source material.
Now add type matchups. Also abilities, so that honedge’s attack hit regardless of where the enemy is, and the enemy hits regardless of where honedge is.
Honedge is ####ing dead AS IS.
This makes it leave the afterlife to the pits of the void
You should do this with all rpg characters so they have their stats at a certain level. So Ness has his stats at lv. X Cloud with his same stats at lv. X ect.

Mankey has been my favorite pokemon (tied with haunter), since feb 27, 1996. I'll never forget getting birthday money when i was 5 (yes - i ACTUALLY remember) on feb 7, and waiting SO IMPATIENTLY for the game. I got it, (saved my christmas AND birthday money) got home, caught a rattata, pidgey, made it to veridian, got into the forest, caught a weedle, then a pikachu (yup, i was lucky AF), did the usual, made it to the daycare, and i found him. the best pokemon EVER.
When yellow came out, i remember walking to the left of viridian, to look for a nidoran, and found a mankey, JUST like ash. My child brain was bouncing around my skull - possibly dopamine overload. i remember that night, after supper, my mom (single parent btw, and we we're poor.) surprised me with the prima game guide for yellow. I "think" that might have been one of the happiest moments of my young life.
Thank-you pokemon, and thank you Satoshi Tajiri, for making my childhood not so rough. Thank you for the memories and the chance to bond with my mother. I will NEVER forget them, and treasure those moments forever.
I love how scuffed and yet professionally made this video was. Would love to see this idea expanded and maybe play against someone else next time!

"I don't need free handouts" and proceeds to lose to Greninja...karma really is a beautiful thing! Gengar looks wicked cool in Smash Ultimate form! Kudos to WuBoy! And the music chosen in this video is exquisite. Hoopa's not a Legendary but a Mythical! Nick should consider himself lucky that Little Z couldn't transform into Hoopa Unbound and use Hyperspace Fury because then the battle would've ended MUCH quicker. Legend says in its Unbound form, it once carried off an entire castle to gain the treasure hidden within, or at least according to Omega Ruby.

pikachu can actually do some considerable damage with the light ball item in pokemon
So can any Pokemon with the right held item. Hell, most fully evolved mons with a Life Orb or Choice item blow Pikachu out of the water.
Me when every other fully evolved pokemon with a choice item walks in:

There is a very good reason Pikachu is untiered and not ou or something. It's because even with lightball it is dealing negative damage to an enemy. It also is frail as shit and doesn't have a good speed at all. Hell even all the way down in pu this guy is bad. Also considerable isn't enough at all even in casual playthroughs
@@dabmonstr7403 Yeah, if you try to use LB Pikachu in a casual playthrough, you're gonna go through hell just farming for one holding the stupid thing. When there are FAR better offense options available to you. Hell, if you want something with ridiculous offensive power, look for something with the likes of Huge Power, Belly Drum, or (in the case of Azumarill) both.
Plus, like you said, it really is trash in competitive. But I'd like to elaborate more on another reason as to why. Most frail Pokemon with good offensive stats can perform well when Pikachu can't--the reason being the Focus Sash held item. Which Pikachu deprives itself from by being shackled to the Light Ball.
Choice Specs Raichu is still better in every way though
You should do custom balance based on the official tier list for a video, so that the worst characters become stronger while the best characters become weaker.

Ngl, this gave me an idea for implementing abilities next, such as:
Speed boost: every 5 seconds in a stock you get a .1x addition to your speed, capping out at 1.6x speed total (30 seconds for max effect)
Blaze, torrent, overgrow, swarm: you alr know
Cheek pouch: heals give you 1.5x healing
Intimidate, for the first 15 seconds of the owner's stock, the enemies have .8x their normal damage (applies on all stocks)
Volt absorb: you can guess
Supreme overlord: every stock lost gives you a 30% boost to your moves (caps at 90%)
Guts: whenever you suffer status, your attack goes up by 50% as long as it remains
Sturdy: when the player is above 100%, they get a once per stock hyper armor
Poison point: the owner's attacks will have a 10% chance to poison and deal 6 ticks of half the attack's damage over 30 seconds
Pressure: there is a 2% chance with each step that an enemy in the ground will be put into a temporary stun (im def doing this wrong, but at the same time, making all your opponents moves come out twice as long as they normally would take kinda seems busted)
Maybe ill return to this to add more possible abilities to suggest

Pokken tournament style mod - Each pokemon has a different pokeball assigned to their taunts, nothing legendary or op but someone like staryu, snivy, or oshowatt with situational strengths. These would function like assists from pokken, and perhaps a self imposed rule like one of each pokeball use per stock would balance the gimmick more. The fact that pokeballs are usually random makes them more difficult to set up on, but summoning a specific pokemon for a specific situation could be really clutch and cool
Specific characters can be given thematically appropriate pokeballs, like mewtwo getting abra, or pikachu getting togedemaru. If every character (not just pokemon) are considered to get pokeball taunts, combinations like mac who summons gogoat, or steve who summons exeggutor, could be funny

Nick, I have a fantastic idea for a smash series. You did a 'landing every spike in smash bros.' video. How abot the exact opposite:
LANDING EVERY RECOVERY MOVE IN
SMASH ULTIMATE
Here are a few basic rules:
1. Both horizonral and vertical recoveries need to be done.(eg, Mario's Coin Jump and F.L.U.U.D.)
2. If a certain mve aids in recovery, it also has to be done.(eg. All Links' Bombs, Snake's C4 and Wario's waft)
Perfect for some sweet, sweet views.

TCNick I have a video idea for you so basically it’s a (hero turn based rpg) you vs whoever and you both play hero and you have to take turns doing one move or a grab combo you have to take turns and when it’s not your turn you can’t move unless your recovering it’s more fun with 200 hp stamina mode as well also you can use boosts like psych up and accelerate for your next turn there’s no staling during your turn to get mp.
