- With my Yamaha Tenere 700 with stock suspension (Only upgraded spring) I will join a 2x430 km long Roadbook Rally on everything from gravel to enduro tracks.
As the only heavy bike among the light enduros I wonder: - Is the T7 up to this? Am I up to this?
The digital navigation and roadbook equipment used in this video is available at www.thorkracin...

Best thing of this video is hearing the Bike Noise. Music to my ears !
Anothter thing I appreciate is seeing the full ride. Thank-you 😀
‘I’ll just have a little nap 💤….’ hilarious Robert. Well done, that was certainly a big achievement and thanks for sharing. I’m sure having a 50kg lighter bike crossed your mind while out there. T7 is certainly capable and well done, respect!
Thanks man 👍🏻🙏
Amazing where you get through on the T7. Great riding. And fantastic tracks. "I just rest here a little bit" - how you save your humour even after another spill.
All the best, Günter from Nürnberg/Germany
Haha thank you Günter 👊🏻✊🏻
Great effort, well done! The roadbook adds an extra dimension to riding, very rewarding👍
Watching for the 2nd time. Great fun - you and T7 along a sometimes rutty and muddy run. Well done Robert on the navigation and handling the weight of the bike. Such a wise decision in taking alternate routes the 2nd day - balance is the key. Love your self talk in the video, it shows that having a calm mind provides a calmer feel on the clutch and brake. Cheers - you earned that beer!
Thanks Bob! 2nd day my throttle hand and legs said no so we took it easy. Too bad the mic was off, so you missed the fantastic songs I made up to remember the next waypoint distance. Next time :)
Really well done Robert! I hope to join next year :)
Wow! Another amazing video Robert. Your production levels are so incredibly high - you are a real talent.
I'm heading off to do my my first Roadbook - the Kielder 500 tomorrow and hope I do as well as you did. Although, personally, I get frustrated with the slow stuff and prefer the fast open riding, which you get in Morocco... fewer trees and less mud too :-)
Thank you! Marocco will happen some day for sure. And the UK 🇬🇧 😊
Thanks for posting, thinking of doing a roadbook event myself and your video has helped me on my way :-)
Thanks 😊
Finally something what I can do as you: fall down many times 🤣
Great skills, congrats
Haha thanks
hats off to you and the T7 for doing that !!! pretty hardcore and a long way from what most people would consider doing on an ADV!! Brilliant!
Thank you! It was great fun but it took some energi for sure 😊
Thanks for the great video. Looked fun and really tricky. Regards Julian
Yeah it was great fun but exhausting
Great ride, thanks for sharing Robert!
Fint kört! Älskar att se folk använda sina middle weight adv-hojar till riktig enduro/rally-körning. Du var ute på bitvis riktigt svåra vägar, och med en T7 är det inte helt enkelt! Jag är imponerad! Bra jobbat!
Tackar!
Very good fun!! A great watch from my sofa!
It's definitely something that I want to try...
I'm already looking forward to the films next year "Nomad Sweden goes Dakar 2023" 👍🏻😁
Hehe that would be something
That looked really hard, but also really fun😄
Looks like you enjoyed yourself, well done Robert. Road book events are great times and fun always to be enjoyed like you did, thanks for the great video
Thanks frank!
Great achievement Rob! I could really feel how tough it was with the beast at these lovely tracks. I recognized the place you stayed at close to beautiful Torsång. I was there with my 690 2015 on Dala Rally't that was arranged at that time, not a roadbook event but great trails. Dalarna is really a great place for advriding. This was what needed go watch now, see You 😜☝️😁
Thanks buddy! Dalarna is fantastic and this event gave me a lot. See you!
Well done, a tough ride on the big bike.
Another great video!
Thanks.
Cool, thanks
Such a beautiful country to ride, you are truly blessed my friend! Great adventure, well done
Thank you!
Well I made it .. didn ´t i?… new t-shirt for no-mud sweden! :) great ride Robert! Well done 🤙
haha great idea :)
Well done Robert you made that look easy.
What an adventure! Looks like some hard work on a big bike! Maybe some suspension upgrades on the wishlist after all those rocky powerline tracks? 🤔😀
THanks! Yes suspension upgrades would def be nice.
Hahaha, I need to duck 🤣 great excuse... I will use that my self 🔥Looks like this guys know how to handle a dirt bike. djizes 👏🏻 28:41 well, I need to charge you for Violation of the copyright. Invoice is forwarded in the mail you sun of a 🤣🙈👏🏻 I think we can say that a STAR is born 🔥
Haha thanks. The åååhh was so easy after this ride. It came very natural. And it was worth any claim you can muster.
@@NomadSweden The best åååhh's are not possible to fake, I think that's why so many relate to it 🤣🔥 Well, you will get of with a strike, but two more and you are out! 🤣 Great content as always Robert. Cheers
Good work! I'd have taken a chill day after day 1 too. Awesome!
18:30 :D Funny. That was very effective ! Nice video. That's a good experience for rally.
Sometimes too effective 😊
Simply awesome.. Great riding skills and a job well done on such a trail with a tenere. I also tested mine by hitting some dirt bike trails (a bit) and you are right. It just needs some gas.
Thanks for sharing..
Thanks! 😁
You are definitely a skilled rider! I would not been able to duck down so quickly and find that safe spot to hide right next to the trail…
These trails were not 100% legal so you have to stay out of sight. I do my best :)
Really cool tracks!!! I also placed the Carpe Iter on my Tenere 700 but put it on a nav tower because I felt on the bar it was wobbling and vibrating too much.
Yes Manuel! I need your tower because I can’t do it myself 😊 waiting for solutions to come on market.
Great video and what an adventure! Thanks for sharing 👍😊
Wow, looks like a lot of fun! If i could ride my Yamaha offroad i would directly join your roadbook event!
Thanx for sharing, looked really fun! 👌
Whoa that bridge drop was close, and those muddy ruts looked horrible, your getting very good at this Robert, and well done donkey!
Thank you! Well Training is only repeating 👊🏻✊🏻😊
Really interesting ! the sound is not that much bad ! really amazing to see you in middle of Rally bikes. I was surprised to see how much hill are on that tracks. I looks to be a bit to heavy with 50 kgs more than on rallys ! I understand you add to resync your Roadbook some time with your real situation ?
thanks for this!
Denis
Thanks. It takes less time to sync roadbook than to drive the wrong way :)
Super effort Robert 👏, hard work but great fun! And what a nice place to ride...apart from the slippery stuff! Cheers, Steve
Thanks Steve!
damn your videos make me want to ride my motorcycle again after i heal from my injuries
It looks intrestening and it looks like fun. Riding with a Roadbook ist nothing for me. I'm sure that i get lost somewhere in nowhere.
But, dell done, Robert. 😁👍
Looks like great countryside to ride in. Great job!
You did really good, even whit a bigger bike. Mission accomplished. 👍🏆🏆
Thanks!
I enjoy your videos very much, you have these Royal Jordanien vibes.
"When in doubt, gas it!" -- Someone, some time ago That looked quite fun. The Tenere seems prone to spontaneous nap breaks which is nice.
Thanks 😊 yes we all need a rest once in a while
Great job! You really earned that beer. "🤬 Power lines" 🤣👍
Thanks! I was in bed at 8 😊
Hey Robert another great video, it's always nice to End The Day the good Danish beer... 😜
Thanks! Yes, specially when we deserve it, they taste the best :)
Wow 🤩 Well done, Robert! Incredible route… 😳
Thanks yes it was fantastic
Fantastic well done. I love GPS navigating myself, and you have inspired me to try a road book nav one day. Maybe next rally you could try it on a Husky 450 or 501. About 75 kg lighter. You already have the Husky jacket. Cheers
Indeed. Still roadbook does not require hard enduro tracks. It is great fun in itself. But would be fun to try small bike also.
The next step for the T7. Hard work but well done. You work up a sweat😅😅
Sure did 👊🏻✊🏻
You get Swedish "ABBA" award - "Asf**k Brave Bastard Alone" .... 420km on T7 in one day... BRAVO!
Haha thank you
Såg skoj ut Robert! Får se om jag vågar mig på att testa något liknande framöver.
Great video, so funny with the rest a little bit part
thanks! Yes if you fake to rest on purpose it is not counted as a fall :D
@@NomadSweden hahahahhaahah
Congratulations Robert - great job! You and the Teneré handled those trails like a champ. I was a bit worried about some of those long water and mud sections, but the Teneré tractored through them. Which tires did you run for this adventure? Skål! 🍻😊
Thanks! I used Motoz Rallz tyres, and luckily the mud pits were not so deep and had a firm bottom so it never got ugly.
@@NomadSweden Hah, excellent! I have been looking at both the Motoz Tractionator Rallz and Adventure tires as the replacements for the Pirellis my own new Teneré. I live in a similar climate as you, here in northern British Columbia, Canada. Which of the two tires in your opinion, do you find gives better traction in the cold and wet conditions?
@@Nexus-6 Go for the Rallz in cold Wet. The rubber is softer than on the Adventure. The Adventure tyres get very hard and slippery in cold/wet
@@NomadSweden Fantastic, thanks for your insight and opinion Robert! 🙏 The Rallz, it is. Looking forward to your next adventure! 🍻🇸🇪
you did well I would not want to take my t7 on this,,,time for the wr250r!
Indeed! Glad I tried with the big bike for comparison
Impressed!!
Thanks. I was not so impressive after the ride :)
Thanks for sharing the video👍
Sweet, awesome riding.
Lucky on the tree there 😮
Yes that could have been ugly :)
Thanks for sharing this! What an adventure and beautifull country. When i get the energy i'll go to Sweden and drive the TET. Maybe in a few years ill also try a roadbook rally :P Looks amazing!
26:11 should of bring basket with you and pick up some mushrooms for dinner:)) I got my self one's in a tuff place with my Supertenere, more trootle solve problems too :)).
Amazing stuff! I wouldn't walk some of those tracks! Hey from Wales!
Hey Whales 🐳!
Great job, I am very interested in this roadbook rallying, now looking at the Thork site and what events there may be here in Australia. (still waiting for my T7 to arrive)
Yes rb rally is so much fun. The brits are great at making many tallies so let’s hope the aussies are the same. If not it’s fun to create them too. Good luck in your bitter sweet waiting 😊
27:30 där vill man inte tappa balansen åt höger, speciellt inte med en GS 🥴 saknar offroadkörningen i sverige!
Wanted to give you a thumbs up, but it's on 666. I don't want to mess that up ;-).
Well done on the T7 dude!
Haha thanks 😈
Great video Nomad Sweden! But I cant see any info about what Rally this is? I see the link to what equipment you use but not who the organizers are? :)
It was an organized rally and the organizers made the roadbook.
I understand. I try to find information about these kind of organized rallies, so I can participate, but I dont find anything. Edit: I missed in the beginning of the video. So this is a very private event. Too bad one need to be in the cirlcle of trust to be able to ride this :(
Not many happen in Sweden. Check out soe.se
Also Norway has a big roadbook event coming up facebook.com/groups/RoadbookSorNorge2020/?ref=share
Great video, nice job, well done, especially that muddy section (22:35). 200+ kg bikes aren't easy to drive in such a conditions :-)
Thanks! I was a long day indeed :)
Robert, nice to see you do this with your T7. Thumbs up👍🏼for this achievement! I enjoyed watching and laughed quite a lot at your 'quotes' even with a bad microphone. Here are some again... 😁
With the 180° powerturn and your 🙄 'That was affective...' you underrated the T7 power or the loose surface Robert, ha, ha. That went quite easy, not as expected. 😆
And nearly in the end at the 'f@cking powerlines' 😆 when you fell... I think I just rest here for a little bit... 😆 but your 'I think someone came, so I had to duck. Sst, I think it's safe now' was hilarious 😂🤣😂🤣.
And with 'another birch, hello, 'I'm, i'm going for it' and you made it just fine 👌🏼 and then you said... 'Did that happen? I didn't do that, I just told her what to do... 😆
And last but not least... 'Thanks for being with me... and not helping me lift my bike...' 😂🤣😂🤣 At least your way of doing things motivates me for doing some adventure riding myself. 👍🏼
Haha thanks a million for that recap. I'm glad it entertains :)
bra jobbat i skogen. jag har just börjat med adv riding. ni är välkomna till Gotland för lite skog åkning.

En får tacke!
sen nasıl bir KRALSIN?
Hi Robert , another wow video. Amazing. You must be very fit 💪 I like the Swedish country site 😂👊🏻
Thanks. Well I am more fit after the roadbook than before 😂
@@NomadSweden what a workout 🏋️♀️ 💪😂
That was very effective. My respect
Many thanks!
Well done
Fun to watch u
Thanks!
Yes I see some skidmarks. Thats' gooood.😂
Small bike ? My heart said T7, but in the end I ordered the CRF 300l (because of the weight difference) as my first dual sport, still a few weeks to wait but it’s comming 🤞Go for the Honda Crf 300l want to see what you can do with it😁
The 300L is an interesting bike for sure. I want to do this same track with many different bikes just to test. A 430 km rider would actually differ also in how fatigued you are.
as always a wonderfully entertaining video. I have two questions. Do you never drive with a neck brace, and if not why. question two, what program do you use to edit video. Many greetings Kim 😊
Not sure why not. Most adv people dont. But id like to try one. I use final cut pro to edit
"That was very effective" hahahaha
Hello Robert, It was a funny weekend I think like if I see it now in my chair! One question, is it possible that you offer the gpx File of the roadbook for your "fans"? Thx in advance!
Thanks! I dont have a gpx since it was only roadbook and for one time only becuse of permissions
it must have been hard. Respect.
👊🏻✊🏻
I like your bike riding style very much?
Well done 👏
That's took some balls
Actually I sat on them hard once. You reminded me now. :)
I own a Tenere 700 and I love it too!
We’re in love with the same girl but still friends 👍🏻
Bel tracciato tu divertito
Verkligen imponerad av körningen!! Vad hade du för däck för ta dig igenom surhålen ? /Nicklas
Tackar. Jag körde Motoz Rallz
Du är grym på att köra .
Bra video som vanligt
Tackar!
@@NomadSweden kan det stå en enduro hoj i nomad Swedens garage till nästa år kanske.😀
Inte omöjligt 😊
Nice ride Robert!
One thing I've been thinking about when it comes to events like this and SKOG. How do you deal with the legality of it considering our strict swedish offroad driving laws? Looks like a lot of fun places but I doubt they are classified as "roads". Is it case of "play dumb, act nice" or is there a loophole somewhere?
Good question that is constantly discussed in forums. These events are often made in gray zones. Like the powerlines, it's not a real road but it's ok. Then we have small trails in the woods. Normally off limit, but it takes sensitive local knowledge to know where and when a one-timer would pass, even though in black&white it's not legal. The further up north you get the more big-company-owned forests you have and you won't disturb people as much. And if it's not regular, the impact on nature is minimal. But sure, in a court room it would be no excuse.
nice sharing t7 capabilities with us. what location? website for the event or was it private?
It was private event in region Dalarna of Sweden. Near Borlänge
I may have missed it, what device were you using for the roadbook/ nav? Great video, there is no way I would have done that with a big bike, you have skills.
Thank you! Check description for links to nav 👍🏻
@@NomadSweden Uh ha! I don't usually click that drop down :)
Hello Robert, can you adjust the tripmeter if you must backtrack to the right direction. Grt.Marc
Absolutely, both for total and partial distance. You can set manual values, reset and many other functions. It a complete solution for roadbooking.
@@NomadSweden Thank you, love your movies 👍
THIS is so strange, I have an r1200gs 2013, i thought that i could ride it after my stroke
my last bike was a k1200 gt 14000 km USA in n2013, I was strong then, I easily could pick it up, Now I cannot pick my gs up, it fell in my garage, the neighbour helped me
maybe I should try a 700 too
regards
Stuart
Sorry to hear that. All the best to you
27:53 Channelling Schwarzenegger 🤣
There’s an Arnold in all of us
400klm of that terrain would be a killer for me gotta be fit for that
This was 30 mins out of 10 hours. 80% was easier. But still.. could not use a muscle the day after
that was really awesome
great 👍
Thanks!
"Give gas and problems will solve themselves" such wise words. Butane or propane, which one would you suggest?
Nice one Robert, looks like you enjoyed it.
Thanks! I did! ( gas was methane from shitting myself at some sections)
@@NomadSweden Me: hmm weird humor.
@@SsiolisP haha ok, you win
@@NomadSweden nah we both lose. Shitting (metaphorically) on each other makes everyone unhappy. See you in the next one.
Very nice and you have my respekt.
Thanks!
Wow! I did not think you will make the 400km on the T7, I know how exhausting this can be… I am so much into Roadbooking after all your Videos within the last Months but I cant barely find any Events. Do you habe any Suggestions where I can find Roadbook Events all over Europe? Any Website or something similiar?
Yes roadbook events are hard to find up here. But you have many rallies using roadbook in mainland Europe. Dinaric Rally, Albania Raid, Hellas Rally, Espania Rally etc. THey all have amateur and adventure classes. But UK is the best on making fun Roadbook events for everyone. Check their site rallymoto.co.uk/
by the way with tires did you choose ? Anakee wild ? witch pressure in a such a mood ?
Motoz Rallz. Had both on 1.8 bar
Very cool, what is the road book make?
Check link in description 👍🏻
Have you tried it with almost 100kg lighter bike like husqvarna te 410 or similar, is the off road experience much more pleasureable that way?
The tough offroad is easier on a lighter bike for sure. But the long sections of higher speed is not
I expect you to get the some kind of 450 and turn it into rally edition or at least KTM 690 / Husqvarna 701 rally edition as next bike soon enough :D
Hehe perhaps. I have looked closer and will testdrive the AJP PR7 soon. That's a lot of rally for the buck. But I am not ready to swap the T7 yet.
@@NomadSweden I'll be waiting for AJP PR7 content on the channel in the addition to Tenere! Just go for it, 2 bikes, more content! :D
Damn it.. I can not watch more then a minute straight because I'm starting to regret selling my old trusty Transalp
You need to get back in the dirt right this minute!
Är det ok att köra på område med skjutbana och bommen är stängd och förbudsskylt?
Det skulle jag inte tro. Men areangörerna hade nog koll på det
where do i get these mirrors of yours? thx marc

Hello, how does the tablet trip work? By GPS or by cable to the wheel?
Both. I use gps but you can connect wheel sensor also
@@NomadSweden But GPS alone will not be accurate for changes of direction, will it?
@@RICKIRIDER gps it very accurate and mosr roadbooks are made using gps data. Worked perfect for me. Often on the decimal
