    Im an Aussie and a bit of an avgeek. YT recommended 1 of your vids to me and you're now my fave FA YTer. Love hearing how things are dome differently in other countries.
    Tho as an Aussie only being paid while the doors are shut sounds insane, as here it's generally illegal not to pay people for all the work they do. Some major companies have revently had underpayment of employee scandals and it has caused reputational damage. Also most companies use enterprise bargaining and those agreements are publicly available for anyone to have a read. The agreements cover salary, personal, annual and long service leave, allowances, breaks and other enrirlements.

    Hi Briner ! I love your videos, great contents and excellent explanation.: At training you bid for you Base and maybe you don't get it, when can you ask for a transfer to your prefer Base ? Thank you. Waiting for more videos.

    • @brinersealey
      @brinersealey  10 месяцев назад

      Hi! Thanks so much for watching :) With my airline you can put in a transfer to a different base while you're still in training, and your name officially is added to the transfer list the day that you graduate. Some people get lucky and are awarded their base transfer right away, and are there within 2 to 3 months after graduating.

    Hi Briner! I love your videos! Great information! Do you know if you can choose off days each month? If yes, is it possible to have straight 7 days off ?

    • @brinersealey
      @brinersealey  10 месяцев назад

      Hi! Thank you! Yes, you can choose the days off that you want (you get 12 days off with my airline if you're on reserve). Days are awarded based on seniority. It is possible to have 7 days off in a row while on reserve, but is much easier if you have a line.

    I love it how you explained schedule but you did mostly domestic how many times you got international flight like I did apply bilingual I understood completely reserved period doesn’t matter you bilingual or not so just prepare my mind finish training give my 100% during probation time than little I can relax right thanks dear take care

    • @brinersealey
      @brinersealey  Год назад +1

      Hi! I know that if you go into training already hired as a speaker, then your reserve period will look slightly different than mine does. I know a lot of speakers hold a line within their first year, depending on the base. I'm honestly not sure of all the details and don't want to speak on something I haven't personally experienced. I will say that (as a non-speaker) in New York, you are able to more easily obtain IPD/NIPD trips than in Charlotte (where there is less international flying)

    I thought you had to be off probation before you could be the lead flight attendant.

    • @brinersealey
      @brinersealey  Год назад +2

      At my airline you can be the #1 on all domestic and some international flights at any time! You can also be scheduled to be the lead on international premium destination flights (Europe, Asia, etc.) if no one else on the crew is Purser (International lead flight attendant) qualified!

  • @syljo747

    If you live in a city that doesnt have a base and you can only commute.. what do you do?! 😢

    • @brinersealey
      @brinersealey  10 месяцев назад +1

      A lot of flight attendants who commute get crash pads at their base. A crash pad is a place were flight attendants and pilots pay a flat rate per month for a shared living space. That way, when you do have to sleep at your base, you have a place to stay!

    My daughter goes to AA training next month, do they explain all this scheduling during training or do you just figure it out yourself?

    • @brinersealey
      @brinersealey  Год назад +2

      Yes! There will be an in depth class at the end of training explaining scheduling rules, tips, and tricks in more detail. This includes how to build a legal reserve schedule with your days off! I will say that while it was helpful, you always learn more once you get out on the line post training. Good luck to your daughter!
