Hi Alexis! I'm a 15 year old from Italy, and am dreaming of this job for so long now. I can't wait to be an adult so i can finally start being independent and work as a flight attendant (hopefully!). I have been watching videos and reading articles just so i know what to expect from this lifestyle. I know it's hard, i know its mostly about sacrifices, but i want my life to be all about those crazy and surprising things. This video was both funny, informing and comforting, gives me a bit more energy in giving it my best and hoping everything goes as planned. I hope that if i do make it to an airplane, I'll work with great people just like you are: confident, helpful and nice. I hope that whatever obstacles life throws at you, you'll be able to have the strenght to keep going, just like i want to be one day. I hope you have wonderful flights, and to have an awesome and fulfilling life
Wow thank you so much for this beautiful comment I really appreciate you! If being an FA is what you desire then I’m sure it will happen for you! I hope you get with the an airline that is the perfect fit for you and have amazing experiences and meet wonderful people along the way and enjoy your career to the fullest❤️✈️
Omg same, but I'm 16 turning 17 in 2mths,from Kenya, I've been researching about being a FA since i was 14,at first it was because of the lifestyle because I love it,but then afterwards I started seeing the struggles of being a newbie, but anyways it's life ofc, so now i research all about it and prep myself so once I go in for the interviews and all that I can be prepared which btw has been going so well, I hope it works out for me coz ion have no plan B😂❤so grateful that I came across this page
@@lizz2fyeee Kenya is a meowsome country! :) Greetings from Switzerland. ^^ I've been a bus 'pilot' for a few years, and my gurlfriend is thinking of becoming a flight attendant now. I hope she can make it. :)
I’ve taken a little break from RUclips - I’ve been in my first week of training. Starting the second, and needed a break from studying the ac diagram… and started watching my fav FA. THANK YOU (again) for all you share and give of yourself!
Alexis! I don't blame you for not wanting to come to Minneapolis in the winter. It's currently 18 F or -8 C. I tell myself I need to leave this cold ass place, all the time! At least you had a cute warm room with a cold refrigerator!
Your videos got me eating PBJ again. I don’t eat bread or sugar so I make them with the mixed butter from TJs and make my own jelly with raspberries/monk fruit sweetner/fresh lemon juice and use the TJ carb savvy tortilla
There’s no real trick to memorizing everything you just have to study a LOT lol. Remember that’s what you’re there for. To study and pass all the tests and get the job. Writing things down helps me remember things a lot better.
I was relaxed the minute I got off probation. I felt like when I was on probation I was “ new” and always walking on eggshells. I don’t know when I will feel like a senior momma 😭
You are such a fabulous comfort. The way you speak instills confidence and a sense of feeling safe. Yes, shout out to Terry for sending you the gifts she did. I've been receiving unexpected gifts lately and it is a real good feeling. Blessings always.
Training is the equivalent of taking 10 steps to pour a glass of water. 1. Open the fridge 2. Grab the pitcher 3. Place it over the top of the glass. 4. Tilt the pitcher 90 degrees. 5. Verify the glass is full 6. Place in pitcher back in the fridge 7. Close the fridge 8. Turn around 9. Pick up the glass 10. Drink the water
Whenever someone talks about Baltimore, I instantly flashback to the 8th grade when my literature teacher told us, "I'm from Baltimore, and when I was growing up we were known as 'Baltimorons'." I don't think I've ever laughed so hard or long in my life since then. I don't know what row you were sitting in on the Southwest flight, but if you were sitting toward the front, it's possible that the "weirdo" who sat down next to you thought to himself, "Oh look, an open seat toward the front! If I sit here I won't be the last one off when we get to Charlotte." (That's usually my logic whenever I book a seat or if I fly on Southwest, especially if I'm making a tight connection or if it's going to be really late at night when we land and I have a 30 minute drive ahead of me to get home.)
So basically if I get stationed let's say in LA and I live in NY I would have to spend 5 hours a day on a plane just to go to work? Also that isn't paid obviously? How does one get paid?, is there a clock on in the plane to check in? If your plane is late and you're there at the time your supposed to leave how do you clock in and do you get paid to wait? What about dead heading between trips is that paid? Any night differential after a certain time? If your 3 days on and 3 days off per week or even 2 days off how many hours per week do you get paid and do you get paid bi weekly or weekly. I think it is fair to explain how much hustle goes into each week and what a check looks like. Nice video 👍🌞
Hey there! Girl I love cafe bustle. I hope you liked it. Happy we took care of you at SWA. 4 day trip! No ma’am. Too bad you we’re starting your trip in Bwi. I would have picked you up and taken you to get our famous crab cakes. Maybe next time. Just pm me. If I’m not on a trip I’ll come get you from Bwi.
Thumbs up then watched! I’m glad you received and liked your package! Truly, thank you for such a great channel. I love, love postcards! Please let me know the best way to give you my address. Thanks again! Love, BlueSkies:)
Why can't they just adjust training at least a bit more to daily life situations? Looking back i don't even know what we were doing in training. Most of it was waste of time...
Yes I think a lot of them are still hiring. And no you don’t need a college degree at all. Having hospitality or customer service experience will give you a better chance.
I just decided to change my career and become a flight attendant. I’m loving your channel. I’m 56.
