Indeed one of the best sets. But there are some more like this. Sadly G-Force - Proximity can not be released ever. The artist gave a copy to LTJ Bukem to try, but he forgot the original copy in his pants and his mom washed it. :( I don't know why the artist did'nt used the copy he gave to Bukem.

It's been remade, Mark was due to release it...Furney polished it up, but apparently some twonk put it up on digital / shared it, so the project has stalled.

Good but not the best of all time. God that's a big statement. Go check out logical progression 1996. LTJ Bukem both discs. Just those blow this out of the water. This set still amazing though. Kriss mix

I remember picking this up the summer of 96, or maybe 97, in a small record shop in NY NY. So many memories attached to this mix. Timeless, and still one of my all time favorites.
Discovering this mix has been a literal life-changing event. What a way to start a mix.... and the momentum only grows from there. CLASSIC.
Never knew this but I knew the 1996 LTJ Essential Mix with Conrad with the same content
Heard him play these at Speed. Being on that compact (aka bloody tiny) dance floor meant you would be about ten feet from the SLs...greatest memories of my raving days.
This record will follow me for a lifetime.
LTJ Bukem is the only one with melody in his rhythm. As a drummer, this is like drugs.
LTJ Bukem didn't create any of these tracks. He's just mixing.

Managed to buy this from a local Record shop called Impulse Records back in the mid 90's in Hamilton, Scotland. Taught myself to DJ off the back of it over time at the tender age of 12-13 years old. 🙂

no problem there will probably be more in the future. and thats a good question, i know that the topics are generated by youtube and can bypass some copyrights for example you can find LTJ Bukem Rainfall and PFM One and Only on topic channels, Not to sure how they work but would maybe like to think that they use tracks sort of like a promo

Outstanding set, somehow I missed this one back in the day. Nice one for all the uploads, so many rare and quality sets and tracks - you gonna keep me busy for a while :) Hope you don't mind if I rip some of them and upload to my channels (I upload a lot of LTJ sets as well), I'll give a link back to your channel and try to get you some more views and subs. Do you use Soundcloud? if so let me know - I also upload there as less copyright issues than YT.

And of course feel free to rip anything you would like, all my vids are public domain... also you dont have to shout me out if you dont want to, im more for the music than subs & views I'll leave it to community if they like anything they see. I have only uploaded on soundcloud a little bit I don't really like the upload limit but never the less is a good way to enjoy copyrighted content. And lastly sorry for the late reply I was pretty damn busy yesterday xD
Thx, same here it's not about me it's all about helping get the music out there - I know there is a bigger audience for this stuff if they can find it - so I do what I can as YT doesn't promote this stuff. Regarding SC, yeah you have to pay to have unlimited uploads but it's not much, I'll keep doing it until I run out of money...

It's funny, coming back to these things. Didn't have the cds growing up so this feels.great to revisit the awesome stuff I missed in the 90s.
Like, yeah, I heard drum and bass but this let's me appreciate it and bring back the feel of those formative days.

He gave it a self release in 2015 off of Bandcamp, a site that isn't well known which is why people dont know much about this release. The actual track that got released is the very first unmixed track. The track was later then remixed by LTJ Bukem giving it the water droplet sounds and minimal vocals, however unfortunately this remix ended up getting destroyed by accident. Here is G Forces story: "This track was due for release on Good Looking Records but my mum put the Akai 3000i floppy disks i left in my jeans into the washing machine only a unmixed 1st version survived.It also was a big track at the legendary club night Speed" - G Force

Nah sorry what i mean is that when LTJ did the essential mix in 96 he used THIS set (which is his own) for it as a Tribute/promo for his Yaman compilations. hope i didnt make that confusing, cheers :)
