Absolutely wonderful mix, so wonderful in fact that I just made this into a public playlist on Spotify, although it isn't nearly as well crafted as this and is missing some of the songs. I named it the same as this video so it's easier to find. I also put credit in the description, but if you want me to take the playlist down let me know.
For every other thing going wrong (personally, globally, etc.) I'm really glad I get to live during a time where access to gobs of niche curated media is ridiculously easy. I would have never found these styles, let alone satisfied my current appreciation of them had I known. Thanks so much, keep doing what you doing.
Based on the images here I can only imagine the style is "music to listen to while playing Counter-Strike 1.6 at an early 2000s LAN party." Which is definitely a niche I can appreciate.
@@CrizzyEyesI have 12 Windows XP machines and 8 Windows 98 machines ready to go in the biggest space I could make at home. CS1.5 (sorry, I'm a pre-steam heathen), TFC, UT99, Worms Armageddon, Serious Sam 1st/2nd encounter, Warcraft 3, and of course Quake 3 Arena. There's always room in the nostalgia boat to the glory days!
I met my best friend on Counter Strike in the late 2000s. We used to play aim maps, fy maps, surf maps... stuff like that. He was from England and I was in USA. I introduced him to my friend here and they hit it off. He moved here to marry her. Things didn't work out but he stayed here and just a few months ago he passed away. He's in my avatar picture standing next to me. I miss you buddy. This music and video takes me back to those more simple times just fuckin around on Counter Strike.
This is the sound. Born in the UK and here for all. LTJ Bukem arguably started the atmospheric DnB movement. Thank god for him and rest of the producers who keep this scene alive 😎
This mix is so good you have legal obligation to make a third part, it could be half as good as this and its still gonna be better than 99% of the jungle mixes out there (on youtube).
thank you so much!! really means a lot hearing kind words. it really took some effort to create everything (from this map to picking songs and mixing them together) third part is coming soon
For the past year or so I developed this habit of playing counter strike source and listening to playlists like this (ambient/intelligent jungle) in the background. It's like I'm transferring myself to a different era, and it's one of the best anti stresses I found. This video captures that vibe perfectly, and since you're here too I highly recommend you try it!
Shout out to everyone who listen to this. Great combination of low-poly CS atmosphere and dnb jungle. Came here after old school breakbeat. Let this shit be on the top
I can't believe Pulsar one is. 22 year old kid who made that track in 2022. He's got that sound so bang on. He really fooled me I thought it was an old one. Is there a new wave of people making music like this? I hope so because this is one of my favourite eras of music. It was a truly beautiful time for music. But then it went all harder and jump up. And i've always missed that sound. So lovely
Ahhh yes I was waiting for the sequel to the pool vid--oddly pleasing to space out and both just watch and listen to after a proper smoke sesh late night with the lights off $$$
Nook i just wanna thank you for this mix. This is one of the best DNB mix ive ever heard. Everything is just placed perfectly - the atmosphere, transitions and THIS MAP, what a combo man, cheers!
I'm baked and closed my eyes and forgot what I was listening to. I kept thinking Dara breakbeat science but knew that wasn't right. Great stuff man, subbed
I feel like things happen for a reason, and me stumbling onto this mix is one of them. I never thought this style of music could boost concentration, and relax at the same time. You've taken me away from my worries and stressers. Thanks man
the visuals are amazing, the mix is even better, really gets me back when i played deathmatch on these maps, fy_pool_day for the next visual most definetly. keep it up
Even though music like this is so chill, I still feel I need to go fast. Like honestly if I'm playing a game, I start trying to speedrun out of nowhere when these beats start up. It's impressive how this genre of music can invoke such a feeling. Seriously, I feel I need to go play some Surf Maps, or Speedrun high rounds in Classic COD Zombies.
RUclips autoplayed this for me right after Hiroshi Yoshimura's "Air" album and it just happened to be an incredible transition. Fade-out of beach noises into fade-in drums and soft synth is scrumptious.
it would be dope if there was some open world chat game where you could walk around enviornments like this and listen to usic like this. like 2nd life mixed with VRChat or something with more of an emphasis on exploring
Will do, I do know candy Flipping can deplete serotonin immensely. Definitely opens up the heart chakra though when used in moderation. Peace be with you!

Nook, I love that you saw the atmospheric connection between atmospheric jungle and early cgi and 90s games. These two aesthetics just mix so well
just fits so perfectly! thanks mate :)
