The late 90s/early 00s were a weird time. I was a kid, but they were good times, despite all the rough stuff we collectively experienced. I think this kinda music captures the mood of the era: futuristic, but nostalgic. Fast, but laid back. The death of the old world and the birth of a new one.
I had alot of video games that had soundtracks with this kind of music when I was a kid in the 90s. I'm rediscovering the jungle dnb genre now a couple decades later and it's blissful. Also, this music seems to help my ADHD brain slow down a bit. I don't know why, but I focus better on tasks while listening to this...

I am too young to have played those kinds of games as a kid but a couple months ago I came across a DnB mix mostly by accident, and since then its been my go-to for study music. My little ADHD brain just empties out when this stuff is playing and i can actually focus on stuff... its incredible :o
