Just found your channel and loving your work! I thought you looked amazing in the denim shirt dress though..but then again, you looked amazing in everything you showed us in the video!
The brown pants, top, and slip skirt look great on you. I'm tempted to add a white version of the slip skirt to my closet. I have a few Quince cashmere sweaters, and I'm so happy with the quality. Thank you for the review.
Loved this review! I just bought a bunch of fall stuff from Quince, including that cashmere vest in gray. Also got the silk button down in the dark wine color, I can't wait to start wearing it! Thanks Mila 🩷
I have the Tencel dress in brown. It doesn’t wash or dry well at all. The color has faded a lot, and when I lay flat to dry, the wrinkles from washing set and I have to iron it. I don’t think I’ll ever buy Quince Tencel again, but I love their washable silk, linen, and cotton.
Same! I bought the Teal in the dress and jumpsuit and it washed terribly. The color faded and fabric looked awful. But contact Quince - they refunded my $$. I do enjoy their silk pieces, particularly their dresses.
I have had great luck with quince, good to read reviews of how things run cause sizing is a bit inconsistent I've found. I have the denim shirt that's similar to the dress and I love it! I haven't tried any tencel pieces but based on your reviews it seems like my next pick. I got the silk slip dress, which is beautiful! but stained it first time I put it on with my lip gloss, so be careful
@@carlarenner555 Yes I heard that too! I have some cashmere pieces from previous years and I’m very happy with them. Honestly I couldn’t tell the difference, except for some new styles like the structured cashmere cardigan that’s heavenly soft. Not sure if you have seen: shop.quince.com/milainnewyork0il
Where is the white tank top from that you're wearing at 12:24 with the linen pants? This video is so helpful! Have been wanting to make a purchase from Quince
@@eml53 Hi!! So glad the video was helpful ❤️ the tank top is amazing, I have it in 3 colors (it has a built in bra). It’s true to size! Here’s the link rstyle.me/+jksrMBoAFknKcmfaTz9tKQ
They're from Sezane :) seza.ne/QdD28c7rSr I'm wearing size 4 here, very comfortable and good length for my height! They don't need ironing or steaming, I've worn them a LOT since I got them! xx
That’s one reason I prefer tank-strap silk dresses over spaghetti-strap ones. The tank straps give a bit more coverage and don’t look so much like a lingerie under-slip. The other reason is that strapless bras don’t work well for me, I’m 64 and full-busted; nor are they comfortable. The band in a strapless bra has to be very tight to give any support, so I try to avoid clothes that require them, especially everyday, more casual, clothes. Plus, I think the silk slip-dress has just been worn a lot since the 90s, I want other style options.
I lost track of how many times I was about to order from quince and I stopped myself in the last second. They are definitely a dream, but not a real one, unfortunately. I've heard so many stories of their garments not washing well and people regretting they spent money on quince. Ahhh!! I'm so tempted! But I have to stay strong 😅
@@alinamiller5152 I’m not trying to convince you otherwise, but in my experience we tend to hear more often the bad stories than good ones. This is simply because people want to make others aware of their bad experiences (as they should !!). I’m in a Sézane group where almost every single day someone would complain about shipping, returns, garment missing something, getting swapped boxes..all you can think of! In 5 years of shopping, I never experienced any of it, and I shop monthly. Other thousands of people haven’t either. As for Quince, most pieces I own are quite new so I can’t speak about longevity. Other than that, everything I’ve tried is holding up super well and washed fine too. The tencel pieces I heard didn’t wash well, but only one person reported that. I will definitely share my experience in the future once I have owned these long enough! Bottom line is, if you like their clothes, maybe try ordering one or two garments and see for yourself. Their customer service is amazing, if you’re not satisfied, you have 365 days to return!
I highly recommend Quince. I have some items for several years now. Everything I have washes and wears great. The fit is sometimes off, but their customer service is amazing. I always look there first for items I want. Here's some of the items I have. Tencel cotton tanks Alpaca cardigan Tencel dress Wool coat Silk shirts Linen pants Linen comforter set Some of these items going on 2+ years. Love it all.
@milainnewyork I'm in the same Sézane group, and I know exactly what you mean. I've been ordering Sezane frequently for about a year now and have not had any issues with any of my orders. Thanks for the reply. I'll keep this in mind. Hope you're having a terrific time in Brazil. ☺️
I only wish Quince would offer more items in light colors, which I prefer to wear. Otherwise, I love this brand, at least their natural-fiber items, which are all I can wear (plastics allergies). Quince makes it possible for me to get items made of these premium, natural fibers for a lot less than I would have to pay elsewhere.
@@carlarenner555 any strapless bra should work. The one I have is not very comfortable, otherwise I’d send you a link. I’m going to try a few new bras and make an exclusive video for it!
@ there’s one by Wacoal everyone swears by. I have it. Probably as good as you can get being that I hate strapless bras. It’s the Red Carpet Strapless bra

Silk fabric is washable, but not all silk garments are. Quince is simply more honest and transparent about the washability of silk, and we all love them for that transparency and for their overall high quality and reasonable prices. Those silk clothes with added construction elements (like interfacings on jackets and coats) or decorative details, that are non-washable, must be dry-cleaned, as do those with the same elements in any fabric, washable fiber or not. But, these elements are used only in a tiny percentage of silk clothes, mostly structured jackets and coats. I wash everything I have in silk, which is the predominant fabric in my wardrobe, because of allergies, and I have never had a serious problem. I use the “hand-wash” delicates cycle on my machine and hang dry for woven silk items or dry flat for silk knits. Many brands use what is called “Low-Labeling”, which is specifying the most conservative care instructions, necessary or not. But, mostly they are not at all necessary. The only reasons for this are to reduce returns, claims and complaints and lower customer expectations if they do choose to launder the garment. I cheerfully ignore those overkill care instructions, relying instead on my knowledge and fifty years of experience with fabrics and garments, and have never damaged a garment yet. I’m a little more cautious with red, or colors that contain red dyes, like purples, which tend to be less stable and can transfer. But, this occurs with many other fibers, too, and can be addressed by a gentle pre-wash and multiple rinses before the first wearing or ironing. I recently bought an expensive Ralph Lauren silk shirt, in a striped pattern, which is ,of course, labeled dry-clean only. I washed it before wearing and there was some slight color transfer (dulling) from the stripes to the ivory background, but I can easily live with this to save the money, pollution and hassle of dry-cleaning it. This is the only significant change I’ve ever seen in a silk garment, except for occasional water-spotting, which is easily resolved by immersing it in water again. On the other hand, many non-silk, non-wool garments like blazers and coats, do require dry-cleaning. Quince’s great linen blazers, for example, need dry-cleaning, even though the linen and the cotton lining are both washable fibers. For those who lack fabric and garment knowledge or experience, the book “Laundry” by Cheryl Mendelson, is an excellent resource. I learned the term low-labeling from her and many other useful things and think all her guidance is excellent. (“Laundry” is a more expanded and updated discussion of the laundry section from her fun, more general, home-making book “Home Comforts”, which I read first. At least, when I could get it back from my Mom, who loved it so much she didn’t want to give my copy back!
I’d try a belt with the denim dress
@@carlarenner555 it’s usually too bulky for me because of my hips, but it’s for sure a great idea and works well for most body types 🤗
