I just recieved mine in the mail amd ran the 87 octane tune. I havent really noticed any difference yet bit I noticed the rpms were supposed to set at 600 and they were at 900 roughly after the tune. Maybe it takes some time for the tune to set in as after a drive when I pulled back in it was idling at 600 rpms. I hope to notice some diffence for spending nearly $700 or I'll have to send back. Just not paying that for no somewhat noticable changes but I do hope it was the tune setting in.
+The County Line Outdoors In my opinion, yes there is. Although a canned tune is a great upgrade over stock... you simply cannot compete with a custom tune designed specifically for your vehicle and mods. I wouldn't have it any other way ;) - Will
Hey Liam, you don't want to upload a 93 octane tune when running 87 as the tune for the higher octane is more aggressive and therefore might cause damage. Always try to run the suggest octane or higher to be on the safe side. Hope this helps! -Justin
Do we have to install the tuner in our interior. Cant I tune my truck without having the gps looking tune on the inside of my truck? I want a tune but want my interior to remain stock. I dont want any wires or cluncky gadges anywhere.
You could absolutely tune the truck and then unplug the tuner and leave it in the glove box, etc. No need to leave it plugged in at all times. Hope this helps! -Justin
You nailed it David- if anything the slightly higher octane is a good thing. Think of it as an added bit of safety when running the most aggressive tunes. -Justin
A tuner is always a great way to make more power, no matter what platform. You would just need to purchase the correct tuner/tunes for your year/engine. -Justin
I just orders mine, for my 2016 F150 I also run 35" tiers on mine. I'm looking to get the most hp I can out of it. I have cold air and exhaust on it as well. what custom tune do you recommend? Other then the can ones.
+Mikey Kohler Actually I like it quite a bit, in fact its the tuner I have in my personal ecoboost truck. Its simple, easy to use and does the job just fine! -Justin
Hey Bill, the motor makes well over 300 horsepower! When you dyno it with a big lift and huge tires, you are losing a ton of power through the drive-train. If you put the motor on itself on a dyno, you'd be seeing numbers well passed 400 HP. Hope this helps! - WIll
I did a BBK throttle body MSD ignition intake and exhaust. And this tune module brought them together very nicely.

It would be nice if they did a real world 91 Octane review.
Is there a night and day difference between these pre loaded tunes and a custom tune?

Also why is it for the f150 when the magazine just says v6....does this not work on my v6 new edge?
My sct x4/sf4 just arrived and I got no box or even a quick start Manual. Is that normal?
Does it always have to be plugged in or wants you do the upgrade unplugged??
SO GUYS YOU ARE PRETTY HAPPY WITH THE SCT TUNER 2016 F150 5.0LITER V8 TUNES THAT IT COMES WITH? JUST ABOUT TO PULL THE TRIGER . THANKS FOR THE INFO!
is there anything that does an auto tune like the Cobra does for motorcycles?
Ahh doesn't come with an e85 preload tune?
Will selecting a different octane on the tuner when running 87 add HP/torque, or will it cause damage.

@@americanmusclethanks for that answer
I need one for my 2002 Lightning!!!
If In my country I use 95 octante, would I be fine selecting 93? My guess is yes because more octane isn't a problem but less is, causing detonation?

Would this work well in my 2002 expedition 5.4

Can you run e85 on the 93 octane tune? And do you have to change anything on the specs on the tuner if you have a flex fuel??
Good video, just discovered your channel and I have subscribed....I plan on performing a muffler delete. Will this unit recognize the muffler delete?
Muffler delete will not have any affect on the tune or the truck outside of more noise. Thanks for subscribing Joe! -Justin

Hey Nick, that really depends on personal preference and what you think! That being said, I know MPT writes some kick ass tunes for the F150! - WIll
AmericanMuscle.com I want to squeeze every ounce out of it I can.

will this work for a 2011 charger 5.7 hemi RT?
The exact product in this video is specific for the 2015+ F150. However I'm sure SCT does make an X4 for the Mopar stuff as well. -Justin
