His Turkish March is undoubtedly the best arrangement ever! Subjective I know but id implore anyone to disagree. He is a master. A poet of the piano. A true scholar.
This piece is even more difficult than it looks. There are complex figurations with awkward fingering that require extremely economical hand movements to play at speed with clarity, passages that require hands to overlap, etc.
His Turkish March is in my opinion one of the greatest performances of any arrangement ever played. Check out his Stars and stripes. There's pianists and then there's geniuses such as Volodos.
Man I love Volodos' rendition of Horowitz's arrangement, I always listen to this piece whenever I need to psych myself up to play. Btw the dame in red's face at 1:00 is priceless.
Thanks for uploading this! I always wondered what the facial expressions of the woman in the background were like. Now I'll watch this 50,000 times like I did the other upload.
Esto es como dos pianistas tocando al mismo tiempo pero diferentes notas de una sola musica y me pasa con la sonata para dos pianos de mozart y el primer movimiento de la segunda piano partitura de bach
Volodos has a jazz approach : take a well-known piece and make it your own. The harmonic language is still different, even when he starts with those peculiar fast right-hand runs, but I feel some jazz ethos in him.
When you re a pianist and your ex invites you to play at her wedding
lol
@@MaxTerrazos super lol!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😄😄😄
@@amerab6041 OUCH
We don’t need to wonder what would it be like watching Liszt playing piano because we have Volodos. Gracias Arkady por compartir tu talento.

the most talented pianist i've ever heard
The lady in the back is thinking," Alright! Enough! I do, I do!"
Best comment!
What fun he was having. Relaxed and not performing for an audience. Love it when they can let rip and have fun as well.
0:59 I love how he enjoys this chord so much he holds it a bit longer :-)
I'm going to ask my wedding pianist to play this version when I get married.
+elmohead If he's talented enough
Oh, good luck. xD
Volodos transcription is even harder than Liszt's transcription. He's like, a force of the nature, y'know... xD
I thought the same!! This and liszt-volodos hungarian rhapsody 13 if possible
Better invite Mr Volodos along :)
He prob dead trying to learn this xD
Wow... The pedal and articulation was absolutely perfect. AMAZING.
I love the way he keeps smiling.. almost suprised he's managing so well:D

Imagine playing this before wedding by the groom

At least it's not as crazy as his Turkish March
01:19 Oh, wait, my bad...
HAHA
It's not the craziest place there
the craziest part is that double third run
His Turkish March is in my opinion one of the greatest performances of any arrangement ever played. Check out his Stars and stripes. There's pianists and then there's geniuses such as Volodos.
Gorgeous! And he memorized the entire thing...amazing!
This is a (still) a window into a a whole new world of pianism to be explored
An amazing pianist.
I'm gonna see him live in Holland soon... can't wait.

The most amazing single video of a pianist ever recorded! Insane!!!

He turned this into a piece many can play into a piece no one can play.
A great performance. His teacher looks pleased too.
He knows his jazz!! Very smooth, Volodos, very smooth.
I hope that one day I can play this at my sister's wedding. But please give me at least 20 years, haha
This, this insane ❤
If your marriage doesn't last at least a couple of lifetimes after this, then there is no hope for you
정말 10년동안 꾸준히 보는 최애영상♡♡
Yes, he's great, there are no words to express..... XXXXXX
Just gorgeous
That look at 4:28-4:30-
“Maybe you will wed me now?”

So joyful - looking forward to seeing him in Leipzig this May
Behold, the Dark Lord Volodos, at the height of his phantasmagoric powers.

It's fun to enjoy this music.
So that's what a sheet music library of a concert pianist looks like :D
I was so impressed. It's amazing! wow. Now I will try to play this song.
I didn’t know the host of Technology Connections was such a piano virtuoso.
lovely piece of music.
1:56 AWESOME (like all the rest of the piece)
Yay! This video finally got 10k views! Keep it coming! I could listen to this

That glissando 😱

Maybe he has, but in this video he’s simply playing the arrangement by Horowitz. It’s not entirely his improvisation
That's not even that similar to Jazz.
"Mr. Mendelssohn taught me to sing." Victoria R.I.
very nice ドヤ顔
Bravooooo!!!!!
Can I hire Volodos as my wedding pianist?
sorry, your church called and they've selected Darude Sandstorm for the wedding
Aaron Bobeck Imagine that you have to pay one dollar per each single note played!!
Martin Alvarado then I'll ask him to play Cage 433
Amazing!!!!
Awesome
Esse cara toca muito hein lindo demais
oh my god..
Smile to signify that it's an easy piece.
Perfeito! Mas jamais conseguirei tocar desta forma.
WOW!
Only a couple little slips after that 1:45 mark 😮
The greatest pianist of all time.
If VH heard this, he would be very proud.
wow ! you are awesome!
My God!
Wow such a good performance!!
Great
Bravissimo!
Those thirds!! (I think they're thirds... mostly)
I want this played at my wedding
Just download the mp3...but it's recorded with a potato so idk...wouldnt necessarily recommend
I love you.
Su maestra de piano orgullosa de su alumno
I want to play it !
04:05 omg...
That escalated quickly...
Agreed.
That is why I said "Oh, wait." I do not see how he is as popular as Volodos.
You may want to put down that these are Liszt's variations on the wedding march.
They aren't though
They are
완벽하다
존좋ㅠㅠ
I will play this piece myself if I can be married
Does he ever make a mistake?
From what I've heard about him, he makes very few mistakes. I think I've heard like... 1 or 2 mistakes out of around 30 songs from him.
he once voted republican
@@Hectorlph How about when he's not playing Mendelssohn?
