I studied in JIBS from 2008 to 2010. We used to live in centrum, a building hired by university for students accomodation, few steps distance from central bus n train station. I used to 2000 sek n share room with other guy.
I‘m not sure if it’s able to rent exactly that room as a couple, but there are definitely bigger apartments here available with a lower price, but you still have to pay per person
Hello. Did you know that the rent has gone up at Ekhagen?? Do you know why?? I am so sad because it was my first choice and I had to change it because I thought that the rent is going to go up again. And it is also quite expensive now
Hey, yes they recently announced that they will have negotiations with the university and then decide a new price, but so far we also don’t haven any new information, the price already changed on the university website to 5200kr :(
Even though most apartments are single apartments, we definitely know some people who live there as a couple, but it would be the best if you contact the accomodation directly for this specific case 😁
That’s beautiful. I’ve got admitted to Jönköping University for this autumn. I’ve been looking for accommodation and finally I got a place where I don’t have to share the kitchen. Your video is informative 😊 may I know how much is the month rent of the house and do I need to pay the rental per month or for the whole semester together?
Thanks for your amazing feedback and congratulations on becoming a student on Jönköping! The price varies a bit between apartments, but you can expect 4300-4500 SEK (430-450€)
@@vicntomexplore5346 thank you so much for the information. Your video is really helpful for the new students specially for students outside of Sweden. You deserve more subscribers and views. I wish you good luck 😄☺️

thanks for the helpful video- I just had a question, do you have to purchase laundry detergent/powder yourself or is it provided?
You have to buy it yourself, but you can get very cheap ones from lidl down the road
Nice video guys! Btw was Ekhagen your first option?
Thank you, yes personally was my first choice and I’m still more than happy with it, but everyone prefers different accommodations
Hi! If we are planning to rent a room/apartment as a couple, is the rent split between us?

can you ride a bike from Ekhagen to the university?
Yea for sure, just mind that there is a little hill at front of tue accomodation, but many people bike to university
and it’s about 15 minutes with the bike to the university

@@mehengshkoqenemutit1241 you can check out the link in the description :)
@@vicntomexplore5346 also they will raise the rent in August again
@@mehengshkoqenemutit1241 well I believe the 5200kr is already the raised price, because currently we still pay 4300 and during the summer even less

@@neehal_elahi15 In Ekhagen you pay monthly, you just have to pay a bond ,which was 2 months rent, a few weeks after you arrive
