We don’t really have names for areas/neighborhoods… a few but not in this instance. I would say any house you can walk to town from in 10 min or less… There are a a lot of homes around downtown Grass Valley and Nevada City.
20 years ago the town was awsome. The people were great. Now that the Bay Area folks have arrived they have tried to make the town San Francisco. You know what it’s like in San Francisco now. I need not say more.
This is just not my experience at all. There are people relocating here from all different states. And the folks from the Bay Area that are moving here are the ones that love and appreciate nature and small town life and want a slower paced lifestyle. What exactly do you mean “make the town San Francisco”? Can you be more specific? Nevada County is nothing like a big city. This is the friendliest place I have ever lived and all my clients notice right away how friendly everyone is here. All of my clients relocating here are the sweetest people! I hope you find a place to live that you love and I wish you the very best.
My poor dad would turn over in his grave the way this has been destroyed. I’ll admit it, this is my hometown haven’t been there in 25 years and I find it disgusting.
