If you've had lice for years, shaving your head should never be out of the question
Exactly. There house must be really dirty. How do you have lice for years.
Yep, yep. Shave that shit
Well this chick isn't even wearing gloves. She's doing a medical procedure without gloves ...and hepatitis is super common in 60+ yo patients. Sooo gloves! I'm cringing as a nurse. Then she says subscription not prescription..doing medical procedures and doesn't know difference between subscription vs prescription(Rx) uhg.
My two cents as an RN in emergency medicine. This patient needs more help than this. Obviously hygeine is an issue she needs pallaitive care or something to help her and take the stress off husband
She's making a repeat customer. Her house is likely INFESTED especially if it's on her clothing. She needs MEDICAL CARE...not someone who doesn't know difference between subscription and prescription. That's soo concerning lol. I'd like to know her after care plan...lol
If she came into the ED like this we would consider calling APS (to help her..not take away anyone or anything just help...lots of elderly need help and don't say anything until it gets to this level. Their car also needs to be fumigated..couch...whole damn house. And toss the mattress.
I honestly would have shaved my head no way would I put up with that
Same
i had to
I did twice since my hair was really bad, so I just said 'f*ck it' and shaved it.
My mom doesn't allow me to do anything to my hair 😢
If i had long hair i wouldnt but if i had short i would
I dealt with lice on my kids when they were in preschool. After spending hundreds on lice treatments, and using many home remedies, I was willing to try anything. I’m not sure what made me look at the ingredients in dog shampoo, but I did, and I realized they were the same ingredients as lice treatment, but in a different order. As I said, I was willing to try anything. I bought the Hartz dog shampoo (it’s green) and used it on my kid’s heads. I let it soak for 5 minutes and BAM, lice were gone. I’ve shared this with other families who had difficulty with these pests, and they also had success. Don’t come at me. Don’t report me. The kids are 27 and 29 now.
Thanks for the tip, literally scares me every time I get a notice of lice in my kids classes
@@dazeddykeI started itching just reading yalls posts. Lol. I remember those days. They were horrible!
My sister is a teacher... tea tree oil works and simple hairspray can stop you from getting them as when they jump they cant secure to hair shaft..
Thanks for the tip
Hartz is different now and causes chemical burns! Please don’t use this…this brand has been killing pets these last few years…I know it used to be a good brand but it’s different now!
U are a good Mama.
I know a woman whose kids got lice so often because of other children from school that she started using that flea and tick medication for dogs on the back of her kids necks every 6 months and it worked. She asked the pediatrician first and he said it shouldn't be a problem. But just to watch for symptoms after the first try. They never got lice again. And were unharmed by the meds.
That's so strange. My kids are 26,16 and 14 and not one of them ever got lice.
Same, but that lady's kids go to a really rural low-income school. She said it's like an epidemic out there
@rmalus10297 do they wear their hair up a lot?
Idk why but this story killed me 💀
I have 3 kids, when my youngest was in 1st grade she got lice. I’ll never forget it. Some kid in school passed it to the whole class. My other two never had them, neither did I. I actually didn’t know what they were. It’s still an incident that I have guilt over
Thank you for helping them!
Here's a story (true)!
I worked as a custodian in an 18 office social services building. One late afternoon, one of the workers came to me, they had a nine year old foster child just dropped off at the building. The foster parent just dumped her- because the little girl had head lice! Her worker had her quarantined in a bathroom. The poor little girl only had the clothes she was wearing
I went to the local thrift shop, got her several changes of clothes, towels, shoes and yhen got the RID and bath products from the drugstore. The building had been a nursing home, so had tubs and showers.
So, these lily liver social workers had me get rid of the lice. Which I did! Of course, I made this kid as comfortable as I could and was very conscious of her privacy. Their plan was to return her to the same foster home, and I offered to involve the police in what I saw as abusive treatment! They found a decent home for her real quick! Imagine this little girl! People! F'in people!
So sad. I hate that people treat people with lice like they are going to die if they come in contact with them. I have treated so many people for lice and kids too and have never gotten it from doing so. It is really hard to get someone to help you like really be thorough to make sure they get it all. People are so terrible.
God Bless you!
That whole foster home was INFESTED, most likely & she'd have gotten them again. I can't believe the social workers didn't check the house. Lame-ass m-fers. 😡🤬😡
I had a similar story. A 7 year old girl was being neglected and abused so my husband and I took her in. The social worker dropped her off to us around 10pm. She only had a pair of thermal underwear on and had nothing else. By morning, I realized this little girl was up all night, scratching. She had scabies. Poor little thing. She had scratch mark scars all over her, so she had them for quite awhile, but no one addressed the issue. It was left up to us to treat her. This was decades ago, that same little girl we fostered passed away in her early 30's of a heart attack. RIP Courie.
Thank you ❤❤
Live bugs on your head for years rather than be bald for a short while? That’s actual insanity
Not only would i shave my hair off but my husbands as well. I wonder how many people she infected, that was beyond gross and no call for it. I’m surprised no doctors/ health professionals didn’t step in to help them.
Exactly. I have locs that took years to grow and when I tell you I’d shave my head in an instant….I’d probably try using heat first though. Like flat ironing as close to the scalp as possible
It doesn't work, lice just need the follicles to survive, my mum in law can't get rid of her lice either, drs don't want to know
Yeah I'd shave the head
Yuk
The treatments do work. If you don’t wash ALL the linen…. Treat the bedding and fabric furniture etc they’ll be back on your head.
Just like scabies. Plus, dry the bedding in high heat to kill the eggs.
There is now something called super lice which my daughter & I got while on vacation. When we got home it was a good week before I realized & from that point went 100% in treated us washed all bedding shampooed furniture took down curtains washed everything fabric in my house & my car! This went on for 3 months! Nothing was working! Finally we found a treatment online bought it & we finally freed ourselves from the hell we had been in for 3 months! We spent well over $1k on treating all together & NOTHING NOTHING WORKED TIL WE treated with the stuff we bought online . It was HORRIBLE
Exactly these people lived in filth....probably hoarders...
I have to disagree. We washed EVERYTHING and continued to get reinfested. Dog shampoo. Just sayin'.

Im so glad you helped her, what a relief she must feel ❤
Girl where are your gloves at the least? Omg I would pass out.. Your better than me..God bless you ❤️
Honestly this is neglect, if this were a child it would be reported. Just because she is someone's wife doesn't make it ok.
Even though you treated her hair they need to treat their house because it will come back
Lice for years sounds untreated. You're a saint for helping her ❤
She shouldve just shaved her head
Use one cup white vinegar some type of alcohol wiskey, Vodka , the kids liked the 99 cherries or 99 bananas . You can also use isopropyl alcohol. Mix together with 8 oz of water apply to the hair besure hair is saturated. Cover with a plastic bag and use a blow dryer over the bag to warm the hair for 10 minutes. Keep the hair damp while warming it. Let sit 10 more minutes. Now rinse hair and apply conditioner and comb out with the lice comb.
All bugs and eggs will be dead.
The vinegar softens the shell and disolves the glue the egg is attached to the hair shaft.
Once the shell is softened the alchohol kills the bug inside. Along with any bugs crawling around in the hair. No need for second treatment. It's a once and done. Any missed eggs are dead, so no problem.
The boxed stuff the nits can be immune to. Found this out after 4 treatments and still had bugs. This was a once and done. The prescription stuff is a health hazards and can cause life threatening issues. Not to mention you are suposed to use gloves to keep it off your skin and your putting this on kids heads, not safe at all. The alchohol and vinegar do not require gloves. But a good conditioner is needed.
Yes! Perfect! I’m a school nurse and my children had this in grade school. We tried over-the-counter remedies that were ineffective. I ended up getting rid of it by applying vinegar for an hour, then saran wrap hair, and then Listerine for an hour and wrap the head with saran wrap, and then rinse! It’s nontoxic and works very effectively. I also had to treat our cat with a lice/flea treatment as it was contaminating us again while I was at work and the kids were at school. It was going from pillow to pillow while I was at work! So exhausting! I share this with Moms that are dealing with it if their kid has it. Whole family should be treated. My husband didn’t have it, but he was using a shampoo that had peppermint oil in it. I also now use bedbug covers on our pillows as a preventative.
It's called KWELL
Why aren't the doctors prescribing it?
@@Motionpictures-op2pi They don't use it much anymore because it is so poisonous and caused so many to become sick from it.

@@pennyscott4474Thank you for posting! I’m doing this today. Thank you!! I am 50 years old, disabled, mostly bed bound and have had this 9 months. I’ve lost 2/3 of my hair which was full and almost to my rear end, from stress or bugs chewing. I have body lice as well.
I think husband is reinfecting me, though he is afraid to admit it. The dog could be a carrier from my 27 year old live in daughter. I can’t go downstairs to examine her room and she swares she doesn’t have anything despite her lifestyle.
I’m on second round of ivermectin now, but I can tell it’s not going to work as too many others have it as well in the home.
We have been spraying prometherine(sp?) everywhere, I even use it on myself I am so desperate.😢
Yes this does drive you crazy, can ruin marriages if they don’t believe you. I am a super clean person, just do not have an immune system and can not clean like I used to. Though I don’t believe in suicide I have thought about it. I have a dr. and he knows I will not go against my religious beliefs or do this to my family.
Any other real advice is welcomed as well as prayers for them to go away.
I can do pain, a feeding tube for 6 years, massive headaches after meningitis 4 times, but this has pushed me to the edge🕊️
They need to treat their home also. Wash all sheets and spray down furniture and carpets and such. If they have animals, they need to be treated too. And at the same time washing all the laundry in the house. Especially if this lady had them on her clothes. Ignoring problems doesn't make them go away.
Animals can not get lice, and really, all they need to do is book a hotel room for two nights. If there are no humans in the home for 48 hours, the lice will all be dead.
Yea,you must wash everything in very hot water and strong soap! The husband, I bet, doesn’t do any of that! He’s probably like most men his age and doesn’t want to deal with really stopping the problem! It’s a lot of work!! Hope at some point their kids or family members step in and help this !! It’s a lot to stop it!!
Facts! They might be in the blankets in the bed. So they just gotta come back if they don't treat that also.
Treating the whole home and cleaning carpets matter too depending on how bad the infestation is and how long it's been going on for, I've heard of some houses using fumigation it was so bad 😫
Dogs and cats are not hosts for human head lice.
That woman who is getting the nits out is brave
She's black not saying she can't get them but they don't like the grease products we put in our hair
She should never advise against a doctors recommendation...

It’s very traumatic. It was my one prayer before becoming foster parent. “Please God, don’t let them have bugs!” First Child did! Like Bible says, “His Grace is sufficient!” and it was. It became a beautiful time of bonding.

This video is very moving to watch. As I get older, I see that my body is very limited to what I can do anymore, I know that as we age hygiene this more and more difficult to maintain, especially when one’s body is stiff sore and doesn’t want to move…To give Assistance to somebody who has had head lice for years a supreme act of lovingkindness and compassion.
In my humble opinion, caregiving for somebody who is unable to care for themselves and who hasn’t been able to care for themselves in a long time is one of the most selfless acts we can do for another, in doing it carefully, and with respect…
This hairdresser is epically awesome!

Amber colored listerine in hair for two hours, to kill the lice and eggs, rinse well then an hour with vinegar in your hair to break down the glue the lice use to glue the eggs to the hair. My niece had lice so bad and her family couldn't get rid of it. This was an ongoing problem for a long time. One treatment took care of it. We did a second one 10 days later to be sure.
Mayonnaise! Coat the hair,
Cover in a shower cap. Wash in an hour. Oil smothers bugs and makes nits slide out.
It’s also helpful to rinse with vinegar. Rinse and repeat vinegar cleanse. It should be much better afterwards.
I wonder if that’s why there’s a stereotype that black peoples don’t get lice. We always use oils and grease on our scalp.
@@PookieAkATianaYES! Lice need a way to grasp onto the hair strands. Though not impossible, it is less common!
Mayonnaise works wonders.
Rid and the like chemical products made my daughter sick. Mayonnaise was what worked for her. Dawn and conditioner were part of the process. Bagging toys. And lots of washing clothes and or drying on high temperature is a must.
I got lice a bunch of times when I was in my preteens. The feeling was horrible. And pulling them out of your head, and your mom calling your friends moms because you were at their house. So much stress for something so common.
I would shave that whole hair off...it will grow back

I actually was too embarrassed because I was the cause of a girls house becoming lice infested. It was the first time I ever met the ex gf of the friend group everyone dated eachother and it was my first time meeting this girl and her parents had a great house, the dad had a computer parts business and her moms kitchen was beautiful out back was a fish pond they had a beautiful house. Then I came over and months later they had to fumigate, they were selling and I blamed myself. I told the friend when we were going out like a year later and he was like Shrug. 😅
I suck
Lice??? Common??? Hau
My doctor told me not to waste ur money on the lice shampoos, and he told me to try the oil sun tan stuff . I tried the one that smelled like coconut. I think it was called Tropical Tan it was the kind u pour in ur hand and rub on your body. My daughters had very long hair past there, butt. I soaked the hell out of their hair and waited a couple of hours, and then combed it with the oil still in their hair. Then, washed their hair with dawn soap and then shampoo. Then, I went back in and combed it out again, and it worked no lice, and the eggs couldn't stick because of the suff I used. It suffocated the lice, and the eggs just came out so easy with comb. Never used lice shampoo again. O, by the way, you can get the sun tanning oil at the dollar store . Tropical something Tan it smells like coconut.
How does one get lice in the first place?
@@SusannTxYou get head lice by wearing a hat that someone with head lice wore, or using their bedding - think kids at a slumber party. Kids get it at school because they sit close to someone who has it.
Also if you sit on an upholstered couch or chair that someone who had head lice sat in you can get it - there can be lice and eggs in it. Even brushing shoulders with someone, holding a child with head lice, etc. basically close contact with them.
The lice will get in upholstered furniture. So if your child comes home with lice you need to get a special cleaner for the furniture, beds, wash pillows and all bedding in hot water with strong detergent. Also clothes and toys need to be cleaned with hot water.
@@SusannTxThey crawl. Pretty fast actually. Sharing hats, scarves, pillows or even just working in real close proximity to another person that has lice.
That's why a lot of black hair doesn't get lice because we grease our scalps and use a lot of oils to condition the hair and heating products
We can get rid of lice, but if the person normally at school without kids isn't being treated, they just keep getting them. I used to put my kids' hair in a very tight bun with loads of hair pins. Never had them after that. I also used to leave in coconut oil and other things to make her hair super healthy.
Bless her heart! Thank you for being so caring and compassionate with your clients!
Who has lice for years, isn't that something you treat immediately and aggressively as soon as you recognize it.
Aww man. Poor lady. I hope this lice situation is soon remedied

I like that she says subscription instead of prescription 😂😂😊
No wonder it didn't work. A prescription would have worked.
Poor woman but it's a horrific thing to Have , slap thick conditioner of your hair and cling film wrap for 15 mins , hoy water to rinse before washing they'll fall out
And she also axed the husband! 😱
I was told this by a nursery school teacher.
Wash the hair with warm water.
Saturate the hair with GENUINE Tfea Tree Oil.
Tie a plastic bag around tge head, or cover with cling film. Leave for 24 hrs.
Next day, wash the hair with water as hot as could be tolerated. The lice should wash out. The tea tree oil melts the hard shell of the luce and also the eggs. It does not work by poisoning the lice, so safe for small children.
One application should be enough, but it can be repeated as often as needed.
My sister and her three children had a severe infestation of head lice. How she "didn't know" (apparently the school called), is beyond me. So, I drove three hours to her home, to treat all their heads, and help treat the home and wash bedding, ect. They lived out in the country, far from any neighbors. So, I took them all outdoors when it was time to comb out the nits. There were so many. But, once it was done, she was extremely grateful.
Don't forget folks, you MUST retreat the hair in seven days!
Had multiple cases of this in my household as the kids went through daycare. We got this down to a SCIENCE and never used the toxic OTC treatments.
Apply Cetaphil gentle hand cleanser to dry hair liberally. EVERYONE in the house should do this. Wrap head and leave on for 2-3 hours. (We used saran wrap, but you do you). Wash hair like normal. Use lice comb to remove dead lice over the coming days. You may need to repeat treatment a time or two over a week, but I rarely did.
Remember to deal with things like washing linens and clothes (hot water and hot dry), run stuffed animals and similar through a hot dryer. Anything that CAN'T be washed or dried should be sealed in a garbage bag and leave on a bright sunny area for a week. (SEALED, y'all. Use duct tape if needed) Thoroughly vacuum and perform frequent household cleaning until resolved.
Bless You for taking care of this issue for this Lady! You truly have class!
👏👏👏❤️
Vaseline and wear a plastic cap overnight, then comb out, they would be sufficated., and wash with dawn liquid soap afterwards to get rid of the Vaseline.
Cheap mayonnaise does the same thing!
There was a woman I met that ended up with bugs in her hair and got kicked out of her house over it and she didn't know what to do or how to fix it.. thank you so much for helping some of these people
Hair salons in South Africa are not permitted to even wash the client's hair if they have lice. Because of starting a lice epidemic. There are good OTC products to be found in pharmacies. Together with taking time to comb the nits out it will work.
It is not necessary to shave the scalp.
She’s an elderly lady. You don’t know what the living situations are and how long this has going on. I’m sure this was why the woman did her best to help the lady. When working in a salon, you were supposed to follow protocol shut down your station. Tell them to come back when they have treated their hair and clean your station all around but very nice and kind of you to help her. That’s just state board rules.

Aqua net your hair & scalp like you flashed back to the 80’s and 90’s, leave no hair untouched, oil hair before bed, we used olive oil spray. Wash daily & comb out with vinegar rinse. They’ll be gone in no time. Hair spray pisses them off, they can’t place eggs on hair follicles as well and when you wash, the eggs wash out unstuck to hair much better. They’re most active when you sleep, so oil hair before bed wear shower cap. Wash in the morning, add hair spray to rival the 80’s, braid hair or put in a bun to keep from spreading to others, Treat boys in the house too, they can attach to any length of hair pretty much. Best mostly unharmful way to treat without harsh chemicals. Gel can be used as well but i found Aqua Net arisol worked the best. Once they’re gone for good, keep child hair put up or tied back when in social settings and spray hair with a quick finishing touch of hair spray. My kid never got them again in a school that was infested with them little gross creatures.
You were such a blessing for her. You’ll forever be in their hearts, I’m sure. I cannot even imagine!
Dawn.
Comb first. Wet and use Dawn like a shampoo. Comb and wrap in plastic wrap for 30mins. Comb thoroughly and rinse. Comb again and if there are any left, uses conditioner. Leave it in, wrapped in plastic wrap gor an hr. Then comb again and rinse.
Use plastic covers for a mattress and pillows. Wash everything in hot water, 2x. If there's severla loads, put what is waiting in blk trash bags in cutest sun light. It will kill what's in there. ❣️❣️
Redo hair and keep up with washing but within a week, shouldn't be any more issues.
You're an OG. somebody has gotta take care of our elders. Coming through for eggs when the lice seem to be gone is what a lot of people miss
A little tea tree oil in your shampoo would prevent this. However you have to clean EVERYTHING in your home. Wash all bedding in hot water. If you cannot throw away the pillows then treat them as if they are stuffed animals. Place them in a large plastic trash bag, tie knot tightly, and store for 10 days. Then wash in hot water. Vacuum your mattress several times and spray with tea tree oil. Throw away all brushes and combs! Put at least 70% rubbing alcohol (I used 91%) in a spray bottle and add 10 drops of tea tree oil. Wipe everything down with the spray mixture. Be sure to oil treat your wood items after cleaning because the alcohol will dry out the wood. Be sure to keep up with all of this daily for 10 days. When I buy new shampoo I always put several drops of tea tree oil before I put them away. The smell of tea tree is strong but the smell fades quickly.
Placing items in the drying for as little as 20 mins would kill lice.
No need to throw away bushes l, Combs or hair accessories. Clean them in hot water, then place them in a zip lock bag a place that bag in the freezer for 24 hours.
OMG yes, that's what you have to do. Great advice and explaining ...
Exactly. But she looks pretty frail and elderly. She needs some real help for that. I would call Adult Protective Services.
That's insane. Tea tree oil does not work, and there is no evidence that it even repels lice. Lice do not live on things and die within 48 hours if they fall off the head. They're the easiest pest to get rid of. Fleas are worse. What's your advice for bedbugs? Torch the whole damn house?
I am sure she really appreciates your kindness to her. You really did a beautiful job, God Bless You.
You are a blessing. Gratitude for helping this lady.
Everyone be like: I'd rather suffer chronic pain than to look bald for a month
HAIR, grows back! Anemia can be caused by severe lice and bug infestation on yourself. You can even have better hair growth grow in because you were weight-free. But hey...wtf do I know...I only have chronic pain. Don't recommend that for yourself...that's when fate's going to laugh at the joke & say bet.
It also helps to clean your bedding and everything . You can use a lice treatment, but clean and vacuum everything in your house and get rid of the vacuum bags immediately . Keep clothes, sheets in plastic bags for two weeks if you don’t have a washer and dryer to kill the lice. Hygiene is everything.
Also clean and vacuum your car seats lice also sit there.
Coats and jackets too. That's how kids sometimes bring them home from school, from the collar of a coat on the next coat peg
Most people don't use medicine to treat lice correctly. The shampoo is to be applied to DRY hair (distributed well...down to the scalp_.) allowed to stand for the prescribed length of time and THEN water is applied to wash the hair and rinse out thoroughly. Remove mits with the nit comb. Scalp may be itching for several days after treatment.
I hope the one doing the service

Some lice are immune to the chemicals. I had it as a kid my mom used over the counter and prescribed treatments and followed the directions to a t and none of them worked. My mom ended up using mayonnaise and it worked. Oil kills bugs better then the chemicals.

it’s really nice watching this while having lice
I found out that hand sanitizer will kill lice. Put it on the hair. Saturate it then cover it with plastic bag. Wait 1 hour then comb the dead lice out! Be careful not to get it in the eyes or ears. Get a steamer and steam the pillows and the beds! Steam anywhere they could hide. Stuffed animals, pillows, the mattress, and the floors. Wash the hair as usual. It actually leaves the hair in great condition. I'm a pediatriac nurse.
Anything will smother them, but oils work best like mayo, Vaseline or coconut, and condition the hair at the same time 😊

Dog shampoo worked soooooo good for us! It’s gentle enough to use every day if you need to. But we used it once every three days for a total of three treatments. As well as combing out bugs/knits and drowning them in alcohol. Ours was a very mild case as well.
Wet hair, put plenty of conditioner in and rub on your scalp, get a lice comb, put your head upside down over the bath tub and comb, the conditioner helps remove eggs too, repeat in 3 days in case you missed any and they hatched, this worked on my kids every time!
What a gem you are . I couldn’t have done it

Being that her hair was already quite short I would’ve opted to shave her hair. She would’ve looked beautiful with it but I’m glad you helped her. Thank you.🎉
Not me getting a buzz cut and buying every wig in the store
Its one thing if you actually try to get rid of them. But i know someone who is so lazy she would hide the shampoo bottles her mom got her and lied saying she used the nit combs. She didnt and kept spreading it! Shes 18 so no excuse. It pissed me off though because my kids got it 3 times because of her. Including my autistic 3 year old. Combing my daughters hair was hell and took 4 hours. Regardless that pissed me off because it wasn't like they were hard to get rid of. She was just so lazy she didnt care. The mom finally made her let her do it. Before she refused saying she would do it later herself. This was why we stopped coming over and finally the mom decided she had enough.
Word of advice if you have lice you MUST use a comb not just lice shampoo and conditioner. And you have to comb daily untill no nits or bugs are seen. The eggs dont always die.
I know some lice are hard to get rid of. But thos chick I'm talking about literally was just lazy. She didnt have the super lice or anything. It took one treatment of over the cpunter and getting her hair combed.
Either way if you have it jus be courteous and let others know. She hid it so it kept spreading. The mom found all thr full unopened shampoo bottles and combs still in thr pack. She only found out her daughter still hsd it when talking to her she could see them crawling and all over her shoulders it was that bad
U have to comb them out daily- u cannuse as many treatments as possible but if u aint combing them out with the egg comb multiple times a day- u can forget it workin
That is a lot of lice.
Yes it is
A few drops of tea tree oil in your regular shampoo helps to prevent lice bc they hate the smell. It also helps with dandruff and deep cleanses the scalp. Also great to use in between lice treatments to keep the eggs from sticking to the hair shaft.
I've had to help a friend a couple of times with headlice. Used mayo and let it sit for an hour. Combed all the bugs out and then rinsed well. Went through to pick and eggs I found. Repeated in a week, which she had very few. It was funny because they were a household of 4. Only ine nit to get them was her boyfriend. The only thing we could think of was that he used coconut oil hair stuff, and it helped him avoid them. I have 6 kids and avoided them for 18 years, fingers crossed we don't get them ever. But we check weekly just in case. At least that way, I'll catch it early.
I got lice a bunch of times as a kid,my mom shaved my hair ALOT and I lacked self confidence,I felt like a ugly kid.
so much so that when I got older I didn’t think/know I was pretty.
I understand why she wouldn’t want to but she really needed too, with that many they would just come back.
Side note: now that I'm older,it taught me not to be so attached to my hair but also to appreciate it when it is long :))
They live in their bed.
She must not even shower , no way she would have that much lice with daily hygiene
Clueless. Regardless if youre dirty or clean lice will still come. In fact Lice likes clean hair more than dirty hair. Do your research.
Lice like clean hair rather than dirty... but yes, something wrong having that many
Someone needs to go back and watch arthur
This is so true and with her having short hair it would be easily remedied And I don’t believe a Dr. told her that either. There are so many options he could suggest to her now a days that’s hard to believe that. Any body can get it dirty people keep it. Now a Dr. will tell you that.they love clean hair cuz they can move better and more freely on clean hair in which the can lay more eggs but you must treat it every to weeks so if you miss any egg/nits you’ll be sure you’ve got them all the reason they don’t die with thee initial treatment is because their nervous system hasn’t developed yet. But there is absolutely No reason to have them any longer then 3weeks tops ever!!!If so it’s because of being dirty and lazy, an this is a fact.I hope they realize their home needs ti be treated as well.
Lice has nothing to do with a clean head.
I had lice through most of my childhood bc my parents were ....😮💨. As an adult ive caught it twice, the first time...i definitely shaved most of my hair off. In the event that i get headlice i literally lose my mind. I cannot cope, id rather be bald.
I can hear you say comb and pick for hours. You just earned a new subscriber
Poor lady she must have been miserable from all the hitching . I pray that this brings her relief
put coconut oil in your hair for four hours then wash it out, Blessed Be.
With some tea tree oil and neem oil.
for those 2 inches long hair 😅😅😅
he/she making someone to work hard for their hair he/she should shave his head😅😅😅😅
If she coloured her hair the peroxide kills the nits
At this point the lice had found their happy kingdom😊
Speaking as a Mom/ Grandmother, daughter, shave her head. It is very difficult to get rid of an infestation. After gleaning the lice from her head, you need to deep clean your home. That means washing the sheets,
blankets, clothes again. Sweep/wash all the floors. Get plastic mattress covers. I think you get the point.
Bon chance.😢❤
There's electric combs that zap live bugs upon contact.
These actually work very well.
Comb your hair with it twice a day, at the least. Morning and night.
It does not kill nits. But the reason it works is because the adults lay eggs, and by killing all adults every day, there eventually won't be any nits.
My daughter and I suffered with this problem for years. Eventually otc treatment doesn't work at all, and will eventually create super lice.
These combs were what worked for us.
Watching TV in the evening was a perfect time to do it, and while watching the morning news while drinking coffee.
This isn't a "dirty person" problem either. Lice prefer clean heads not dirty heads.
Ammonia hair dye also kills lice my mom dyed my hair one time with it and got rid of them in one night and I almost had them as bad as this guy but not quite. It killed the nits and adults. I could feel them moving on my head going crazy but about 5-10mins in application they stopped
@Monroe15 I thought I was going to go insane feeling them move all around.
We tried a lot of different so-called remedies that didn't work. I'm glad you found something that worked for you.
There's also a spray called Neon nits that turns nits a neon color so you can see them better. Or at least there used to be. That was nearly 2 years ago.
Prescription
Yes, you can get a prescription from your dr. or you can go in the pharmacy and pick it up. It is not the same stuff anymore like they had in the 80's 90's. They had to come out with an oil that stinks like crap but it works very well. Why they had to come out with a different solution is because the there is a super lice that is out.
Prescriptions don’t always work
@@staceythelouselady but they are prescriptions 🙂
@@staceythelouselady you said subscription in the video rather than prescription. They're trying to correct you but w no explanation
@@ashleyh2578 o ok thank you for explaining
Im hlad i dont have to worry a out that matter how long i go without washing my hair!!!
Black people get lice! I got lice in third grade and it was cause my hair was dry. Lice like dry clean hair as opposed to oily dirty hair.
@@Pineappleupsidedowncakelover Okay you got it I'm talking about the majority of black people my hair can and other black people I know can go years without washing there hair it's going to be dirty it want have bugs crawling around there hair I can guarantee that and for a people to be a so called superior race that a lie....

@@PineappleupsidedowncakeloverMost black peoples hair don’t get too oily due to the lack of sebum on the scalp. That’s why they add moisturizer etc.The lice probably prefer naturally oily hair versus a dryer scalp. We have way dryer scalps.
As a bald person this is very much informative ❤
Once I saw years I said “oH hElL nAhHhhHhhhHhHhHh”
You have to clean all your bedding and furniture also and then everything again a week later. Can be expensive so do it right the first time.
Isn't the hairdresser supposed to not treat them in the salon as it could affect many clients
They're an elderly couple. I'm sure she saw their desperation. Lice are not the easiest to get rid of
She come to their homes ,she is mobile.Thank you.
I dk why shaving your head would be out the question 🙄🙄🙄 that is so unreal to have that living in your hair.
Vinegar and soap helps really good. The vinegar actually kills it off. Like it does please and it's natural for your hair
Pov: you watch this then feel bed crumbs-💀
I would.."ax" the husband too! 😅
😂
Mayonnaise works good. Hair stinks like heck for a while but it kills the little buggers.
me watching this video:
my head starting to feel itchy 😂😂😂
Worked for me too. Heck of a lot less expensive too. But you have to clean EVERYTHING on your property dogs, cats, birds, beds. No excuse for having them for years.
If I had 1,000 lice, I’ll literally shave my hair and put a wig on, honestly I am not gonna deal with hair infections .
You ate a beautiful woman. Your kindness ❤ 😊 God Bless you!
Shaving her head was a GREAT advice!
She didn’t use a “SUBscription” from the doctor… she used a PREscription from the doctor.
My head started itching out of nowhere 😂
She had them for YEARS 😮😢😮😢 that is really sad and im sure something like that is enough to drive a person nuts.i don't know how I'd react in that situation.how kind of you to help her
