Why is it that so many people today can fit only one thing per subject into their mind (or two, if they are capable of binary thinking...). Theoretical dream. Block as much fingerprinting as possible. And what I can't block, randomize in a way that I appear as a completely different user every time I luanch the browser. How you'd pull this off I have no idea.
LibreWolf kinda does half of it with the changing resolution shit but yeah that would be on another level probably would take immense amount of work and resources to "randomize"

Best machine is qubes os > tails os > tor either you have made so much unique id that no one can tract you. Or physical evidence is not possible, as the source/host of website don't give connection to bad actors.
Hey, btw, your windows utility tool is not working anymore. New win11pro setup, fully up to date, will DL and use your utility, but when it SAYS it downloads and installs apps…they aren’t there. Would love to hear sugggestions or a fix.
It's even worse on mobile I have everything under the sun besides rooting my phone to change my webview I even switched to an iPhone but every mobile browser is Chrome with a different color paint on top but I did find a solution I have 22 different browsers rotating proxies installed for different use cases

Thats a terrible website for recommending Browsers if it has Opera (now owned by Chinese company which immediately changed their ONE-SENTENCE privacy policy into a multi-page law jargle) and Epic Browser based on India (which India now has a law that all tech companies must log traffic and usage which is why decent VPNs ditch India servers)
Been trying Brave for a month now, but thinking of going back to Firefox + uBlock for daily use. Reason: Brave will not play streamed content from Amazon or Netflix. No idea why. Reinstalled and played around with Windows 11, still not working, but Firefox did straight away. Perhaps it's something to do with using CTT's stripped down Windows. The veredict is that being 100% secure and not have company's selling your data is not possible in today's standards, you gotta pick what works for you. For privacy you can choose between: firefox with ublock origin extension and recommended privacy settings, because the default are not that private; LibreWolf + ublock origin extension, which is a modified firefox that comes with all those privacy focused settings by default but does not have all the fancy new stuff like Chrome would have (all the AI shit for example if you even care about that); or Brave, a privacy focused browser with it's own search engine that is not quite still polished. And for the rest of programs and apps you used, try to do your best from not using google or microsoft stuff, they are the worst. For VPN's, like Titus said, they are only used for unlocking content that's not available in your country, like movies for example, and for piracy online in the case you live in Europe or countries that prosecute piracy. In LATAM for example, you can download pirate software without worrying about police coming to your home, not the case of Germany for example.
There is literally no browser left with both good privacy and usability. About vpn, use it if you wanna hide what you are doing from your network provider so your surfing wont be linked to you unless cops ask for it or unless you get tracked from ur browser fingerprint.

And compared to Chromium alternatives, you're less likely to be affected by Google's shit decisions (see things like WebManifest V3 and the constant nerfing on chromium extensions) and you get much more performance and system resources, Firefox takes at most 1.5-2GB of RAM, whereas Chromium browsers will often take 4-5GB easily. And finally, with userChrome.css, you can tweak the browser UI to the point you'd like, even going as far as getting vertical tabs and such.

Just installed Brave the official way, and it F'd up half my Debian (Trixie 6.8.9) system.. It wouldn't boot or shutdown properly, taking ages (3-5 minutes) to log when normally it's instantaneous.. Luckily I had a Timeshift backup from today at 9am, and it restored everything like a champ :)

I just use the base Firefox and Edge on Windows 10 and thats only because I cant remove Edge. I had Brave, Librewolf, Opera GX, Vivaldi and Chrome all installed but I just removed them all from lack of use. System sped up a lot after I uninstalled all of those.
@@lussor1 That's something I just use on Linux. I always thought Chromium installs on Windows was more trouble than it's worth. I'd rather just use FireFox or something based on it. I also rarely ever open a browser on Windows which is mainly just for games.

VPN may become useful if you become "a enemy of the state" like old Mikko example because of your political views. There is times when I really can't use even RUclips without VPN. Some sites I use are somehow jammed for my computer. And when I use VPN my Windows has started to crashes. That's why I am looking to Linux now. That crashing might be just a normal Windows problem, but still. For me the new Windows just don't feel and are what they used to be. Some times I even miss DOS.
I miss the days when computers didn't have screens and ran on rolls of tape, better yet, the stone age computers made from a bunch of rocks that you could calculate. Those were way better than windows.
Just take that step installing Linux derivative that offers u its desktop having assimilated functions of Win/Mac. DOS was actually very handy, but its initial version was shipped as incomplete. MS was a money making company from the start. 🎭
This video was really bad. No specifics were covered. 1. Risks profiles - your security needs vary depending on the role you are playing. 2. Security by compartmentalization - you play different roles in different contexts. 3. What would make a browser secure for the risk profile you are interested in? For example, when I'm at work, I use Chrome. I dont care if they build a profile for targeted advertisement using that browsing history. After watching this video, I haven't learned what makes a good secure browser. All I have is some high level opinion on some browsers.

VPN may become useful if you become "a enemy of the state" like old Mikko example because of your political views. There is times when I really can't use even RUclips without VPN. Some sites I use are somehow jammed for my computer. And when I use VPN my Windows has started to crashes. That's why I am looking to Linux now. That crashing might be just a normal Windows problem, but still. For me the new Windows just don't feel and are what they used to be. Some times I even miss DOS.
I miss the days when computers didn't have screens and ran on rolls of tape, better yet, the stone age computers made from a bunch of rocks that you could calculate. Those were way better than windows.

Just take that step installing Linux derivative that offers u its desktop having assimilated functions of Win/Mac. DOS was actually very handy, but its initial version was shipped as incomplete. MS was a money making company from the start. 🎭

2. Security by compartmentalization - you play different roles in different contexts.
3. What would make a browser secure for the risk profile you are interested in?
For example, when I'm at work, I use Chrome. I dont care if they build a profile for targeted advertisement using that browsing history.
After watching this video, I haven't learned what makes a good secure browser. All I have is some high level opinion on some browsers.
