You make it so easy to learn and very motivating to sit at the piano and practice!
simply the best teacher!
thank you as ever
Thank you for your wonderful comments D-Ameir. It gives me a lot of energy to continue to share what I have spent my life on. 😉
I've always wanted to be able to play this piece and you've inspired me to try. I'm not sure Chopin will be too happy with the results...but thank you, very clearly explained and like all good teachers I was thinking 'I can do that!'. So useful to have someone explain it so well. A thumbs up and a subscribe.
You can do it!
@@PianoSecretsChannel I've started slowly....!
@@AtmosMrhow is it going? Did it go well or?
@Jalil Nazarli well I didn't expect any follow-up! I started and failed a bit tbh. However, I've progressed with the Waltzes and now have about 7 of them played 'a la Hutton'. A few of my personal embellishments and a hearty use of the smudge pedal and I can make them pass! But you have reminded me that I should have another go as I do feel I have progressed technically and I feel a lot more confident. I'm working occasionally on etude op 10 n 3 and am starting to get the progression of the fifths. Still a bit to go.
Thank you for asking.
@@AtmosMr Oh hi, its been 2 years. How long have you been playing piano for?
I never skip this guy’s ads.
Best Channel's to break pieces down ever thank you!
Before knowing you, I was thinking playing Chopin is almost impossible, very difficult but after this video, my mind changed , thank you very much my best teacher !!!
Glad I could help!
Not even close to that level, but very motivating to practice more and eventually try it. Thanks for this awesome tutorial.
You are welcome Nabil! I am very happy that this video has motivated you to practice the piano more. That’s awesome!
This is just so wonderful and motivating - I think I could learn it now - Extremely helpful tips for those of us learning alone. Thanks! thanks!
Your videos are honestly the best piano videos I have ever watched, I could benefit more from 5 minutes of your content than I could from an hour of anything else!
FANTASTIC tutorial. My arepggios sounded choppy and inconsistent and your training on position swapping is a perfect thing to focus on
I loved your explanation. I tried and followed it and works fine, unbelievable. I don't have any piano lessons prior, only self-taught experience for 15 years. Congratulations for your videos

THANK YOU SO MUCH ! =D
You are welcome! Glad you liked it. 👍
Thank for technical I will try
Thank you so much. Great tutorial
You are welcome!
u brilliant teacher
Actually the most important technique the twisting of the hand. I often find myself playing very detached; now it's much more controlled
Really helpfull Tutorial again! I learned a lot of pieces thanks to you. After I am done with this etude i would like to try the op 25 no 5. Do you have a turorial for that piece too? I would definitly need it anyway Ima go practise... Cheers
Not yet.
Hi Sir, I am very much appreciate you by teaching
Hi Sujoy, You are welcome! I am glad this tutorial is working out for you. 🎹👍
Thanks
You are welcome!
I hope can more. You are my favorite teacher 🥰
Thank you! 😃
Nice 👍
Awesome! 👍
Please continue this etude
Well explained, easy to understand, musically and technically supported by great pianists, only your face is missing. )
I LOVE YOU
looking forward to your Chopin Etude Op.25 No. 9 tutorial, Pleeeeeease.
Noted!
Cool 👍🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹
Glad you like it!
Thank you for the video, I would like some advice on studying. It is better to work in small sections or play the whole piece slowly with the metronome, increasing the metronome click every day.
I reached the point where I just can't play it in tempo without tensing up. When I do pay attention to leaving my hands relaxed, I just keep missing notes, and no exercise works... So I really hope this will, thank you!
What do you think about putting the 2nd finger for the second chord (D chord) of the piece instead of the middle finger? Great vid by the way just discovered your channel!
I would love if you could do a video about improving sight reading! I improve so slowly yet my teacher can sightread basically anything even hard chopin etudes or sonatas (insane)! And when I ask him how he does it he says that I just need to read!
Yes, you can use 2nd. I wouldn't care so much about sight reading. I would prefer that you concentrate on learning a full piano piece each week. That's 52 pieces a year. Considering that Beethoven has 32 Sonatas with 3 movements each in 2 years you will be able to do them all. Then you will be able to sight read them all because you already did them. Also when you sight read in most cases you memorize nothing.
WE WANT A FULL OF THIISSSSS PLEASEEEEEEE, OCEAN IS AMAZINGGGGGGG!!!

A Polish 🇵🇱 masterpiece
I started rocking side to side with him
Nivel Legendario. Lo intentare 🙈
Si. Lo puedes hacer.
Can you do a schumann sonata 2 tutorial please
How do you feel about blocking chords for practicing? It helps the hands to get comfortable with the notes/position.
Asombroso.
Gracias!
My problem is when playing upwards then it is much easier than playing downwards. Because I don''t really see the keys to be played: playing upwards I can focus on the starting notes but downwards it is quite unconfortable to focus on the upper starting notes and my brain is just guessing the notes to hit. . .
Do you have a good hint what to try to focus on, what notes try to catch with my eyes to help learning to be accurate?
You really said this comment on Paul's video lmaoo
More,more
pls do the tutorial of op25 no9 "butterfly" by chopin 🙏

Would be great if you can create a tutorial of Chopin's "Joie de Vivre".
Off: I've looked at your website today, I was hoping for online piano courses. Is it something you plan to do in the future of just local piano lessons?
I will check it out and see what I can do. I will have online piano lessons starting on January.
@@PianoSecretsChannel I'm definitely interested in online beginner courses since local lessons are currently very difficult to arrange due to work and traffic in Amsterdam.
can you post a full tutorial on this piece please 🙏🙏🌹
Sure. I will soon.
I practiced this piece so much!!! Many days have passed and I can't even play the beggining.. What am I doing wrong? I do everything you said in the video!
Fingers not light enough and too tense is probably ur issue
@@davidwang531 I don't really think that's the problem. My fingering is good, my fingers are quite light, but "tense" enough in order to play loud so I can get the precision I need.
@@guin4356 that’s exactly the problem, the fingers are tense to compensate the accuracy issue, and that tension affects speed, which I assume is your main issue
hola amigo has la campanella por fa
Ok. I have it my request list.
Me gusta mucho Liszt.
si claro piano secrets toca la campanella porque tambien quiero tocar esa cancion pero tocalo por parte por que tambien es largar ya por favor pero tocalo la musica completa por favor gracias
I was always wondering if the intro of this etude is playable on 61 keys. Never got the sense to tell but the emotions struck me way too much on this piece. Anyone got an answer?
I think you might be able to play the beginning depending on your lowest note.
@@PianoSecretsChannel It's C2, I think it's viable then. Thank you!
please create again with screen
Got it!
The C minor scale has a B flat not a natural
I used the harmonic minor. You are referring to the natural minor.
Great tutorial but thats not a c minor scale thats a c minor harmonic scale which sounds very different from c minor
I didn’t specify which one it is but it is the C minor harmonic.
Not to be rude but I think c minor scale has 3 flats not just 2
Well, We have 3 minor scales: Harmonic, Melodic and Natural.
Harmonic minor: C D Eb F G Ab B C
Melodic minor: C D Eb F G A B C
Natural minor: C E Eb F G Ab Bb C (Natural minor comes from Eb Major)
The Natural minor is the one you are referring to and it is fine. However I used the C minor harmonic because the etude it is based on harmony. Of course the etude uses all 3 scales and many more. Thank you for your feedback! Hopefully this helps.
I personally think etude op 10 no 2 and this etude are easier while etude op 25 no 9 is impossible
Los estudios de Chopin están muy sobrevalorados, el Op.365 de Czerny y el Op.5 de Henselt son más dificiles
I am not sure which one is more difficult. They are all very different.
Charles Mcbain you have no idea what you are talking about
@@volen5868 Op.10 2 Is Easy compared With Czerny Op.365 etude 19
Not to quibble but it is an "etude".not a "song".
