Picked one of these up from a SK estate about 5 months ago but just found this video. Thanks HRD!

Another video worthy of a thumbs up, and with that, I have also subscribed to your channel.
    Keep up the good work!
One note about power supplies. When you're looking at that diagram, that's not actually 'neutral' in the middle. The middle portion of the diagram is a representation of the connector which shows if the tip/center or the ring is positive and which is negative. So it would be read "Twelve volts, tip positive" or perhaps "Twelve volts, ring negative"
I hope you don't mind a little constructive criticism! It was intended to help. :)

you need to look really close at the bottom of the capacitors too when they are electrolytic, they can push the can off the rubber bottom, the rubber bottom can also leak and cause a bubble in the bottom of it where it can leak and burn as well. Electrolytic caps can be a PITA.

Dude, I have a set of these same meters, I have also tested my 5O Watt FM Broadcast Transmitter with these meters, I find it odd that everyone is saying they won’t read higher than 3O MHz or read accurately, I’ll have you know that the set that I own will read up to 144 MHz..?? Also, BTW I don’t even fool with replacing the incandescent bulbs anymore, I use one or two Super Bright L.E.D.’s and a 56O Ohm resistor on each Diode … for use on a 12 Volt Power Source … Way Brighter and Lasts way Longer …

MFJ rubber feet are a curse upon humanity and an affront to basic decency. They eventually break down into a tar like goo which slowly flows down and drips upon other gear. This goo is nearly impossible to remove with taking paint with it. It adheres to your fingers, then transfers to everything you subsequently touch. Acetone is about the only thing that will touch it. Bad feet.
I still swear by my old Autek Research WM-1 meters. The left meter directly reads SWR, the right power. No knob or switch fiddling to read SWR and no squinting to see where two needles are crossing. Keeps your hands free for your key/PTT/log/keyboard.

Hola.

well well well..i am surprised that u do not know how to read a meter….at 10:24 or so…that is about 1.15 .. the red lines with the black digits is the swr and u give it 50 % if its in the middle…and on the outside scale, its about 2 watts refected…so get into it ole boy..maybe recording put unon pressure..

Usually I have the background music at a level which is easy to still hear what I'm saying. The video editing in my videos around December wasn't very good. I'm constantly working the correct audio and visual issues, and it's something that I'll probably have to continue to do for a while. At least until I get the hang of things. I appreciate the feedback and yes I agree $10 is a pretty good deal

I honestly imo feel these meters are accurately trustworthy to check my power and Standing Wave … I have never had a problem with them, had them since they were new … never failed to work and never let me down… I even compare all of my meters at different power levels against one another to see if they all obtain the same measurements … I compare all of them to my Bird… lol
