Brings back memories of a buddy and I pulling wrecked Z cars out of the junk yard to make derby cars out of in the '80's. Roll cages inside and out! So much fun! I always defer to overkill!
I always thought there's a lot more work to get a wider angle on the car. Now you bet I'm gonna ruin at least two steering knuckes... When I get the money to buy a car, of course.
Bro, you are hysterical. 😂 I can almost remember back when I had the desire to do projects like this. I had a 340 Challenger just out of high school (44 years ago 😮) I didn't have any money for high performance parts, so I did stuff like changing power steering to manual, just to shave a few pounds and reduce parasitic drag from the power steering pump. Another one was the alternator cut out switch, used during a race. I was under the hood a lot, at night, so I installed a big light under the hood controlled by a dash mounted switch. I had opened up the nonfunctional factory hood scoops and sometimes would forget to turn the light off and be cruising the scene with my illuminated nostrils, lol. Maybe, I was ahead of my time as stuff like that is all the rage nowadays. About exhaust headers. In high school(48 years ago 😢) I had a Charger. I put headers on that thing and it ran really well. The problem with them was on my car, the headers on the driver's side, hung down a bit low and I kept banging them on stuff until one tube was practically smashed flat. I always thought about that and worried about how much power I could be losing from it. Whatever, it's ancient history now. But, here's my point. On the show Engine Masters with David Freiburger, a show dedicated to dynamic testing motors. On one episode, he was trying to dimple one tube for clearance, but ended up smashing it almost completely flat(like mine) and, son of a gun, it didn't change the HP not one single HP! He freaked. I freaked. No one had an answer for that. Anyways, I enjoy your channel. Right now, my current task on my project Ridiculous 4X4 RC monster truck, I'm looking to lengthen my wheelbase with sections of another set of frame rails. Fun, fun, till the looney bin takes me awaaaay 😂
I hope using water to clean parts isn't controversial. Ive ALWAYS cleaned stuff up with soap & water. Most times, it works WAYYYYYY better than a $8 can of brake cleaner.
@@HatersGarage Oh I got a welding question too can I use a cheapo flux core welder to weld a side exit exhaust to my exhaust manifold? I mean I know you can do anything with a welder technically but do you think gasless flux welding well hold on exhaust pipe? I’ve never welded but I need to
@@HatersGarage yeah it’s a cheaper cart iron and it also has some rust. Wish me luck I’m gonna use a flex pipe so it gives a little movement in the pipe and clamp er’ down after I weld and grind
dont feel too bad about needing a welder for valve lash, i had to bust out the extension cable and string my flux core welder to my apartment parking spot to weld a head to a sheared bolt holding in one of my cams not too long ago.
Love this. I know you have a big cam and it's lazy below 4500rpm....but am I crazy in thinking a supercharger kit would pair really well here? The absolute cheapest one you can find, maybe one off of a GMV6 or the Cobalts. It'd help with low end grunt, and you wouldn't have to mess with the exhaust. Would be entertaining to see too. Just a thought.
Bro yoinked the goggles off of Engineer from TF2. Somewhat disappointed you didn't show an out-of-car comparison of the steering angle. What would you estimate it at before and after?
I meant to add a comparison but I kind of forgot, All I can say is it's a LOT more. in the intro where the car is in the parking lot I think the wheels were at full lock, and you can see they weren't turned far at all.
Haters Garage: Those BM Trouble You spindle- knuckles are actually drop forged. Near molten piece of rectangular/ round stock is put in 1 or 2 presses and smashed into shape. My Peugeot 505: wagon has a drop forged steel engine crossmember and front suspension control arms. Drop forging is very strong yet flexible unlike cast nodular iron or cast steel which is brittle.
Interesting. It was difficult to find any information on what they really were, it just did the grinder test and found that it was some sort of steel and assumed cast. It welded nicely either way
Hey, i have an idea for you to try on the sentra, it would be to try a crossplane inline 4, the guys in Garage 54 did it to a Lada but I think it could be cool content
Only ~2,700 of the E30 325ix made it to North America. So, yeah, pretty damn rare over here; including the '91 325ix 5sp coupe in my garage. Full disclosure: haven't watched this, or the other IX, video yet... but really hope Mr. Haters Garage salvaged the truly valuable stuff... namely anything to do with the 4x4 system. Yes, 4x4, not AWD.
Hwy dude I really love your videos, I know this is the wrong video to sort of post in but I have a 4 cylinder exhaust. I have an idea that I tested on my subaru but was off a bit. I wanted to make a 4 cylinder that sounds like a single bank of a v8. my theory was to use offset in exhaust lengths to delay pulses to mimick the firing order of a v8. where I went wrong I think is that I didn't have enough offset in my crossover pipe. I'll post a video on my channel. Is there any way I can send you the diagram I made, I think you will like it
I've been brainstorming some ideas for that, just haven't executed them yet. I'll check out your diagram if you want to send it to hatersgarageyt@gmail.com

There’s an RCR feeling to your videos. The new exhaust setup sounds insane. I didn’t know an M20 could sound like that at idle.
I barely watch RCR videos anymore but this channel I'm there

New exhaust sounds awesome. Yeah I enjoy quiet exhausts too. Its nice to have a car you can talk in, but also open it up and have it be loud.
Yeah, I like a quiet exhaust that doesn't have any restriction, which is difficult to achieve
