At 17:33, Domesticated Animals Go Beserk can't be played in the 7 Sands because you need presence there as it is range zero. On the previous turn, you'd want to move a beast token into that land so you can add presence during growth. Don't think it affected your win as you had some great fear generation going! Fun playthrough!
I would recommend the Steam version as it's good at highlighting the seemingly small errors that have large repercussions. For instance early on you moved a Beast to a Wetland (1) incorrectly which prevented a build and subsequently allowed you to place a presence there which made a significant difference as things can rapidly snowball. Similar at 15:50 you incorrectly push a town from 7 to 6.. it's not any range on Terrifying Chase (Any here was referring to Target Land and just means no restrictions like land type or blight etc) the range is Zero on Terrifying Chase. So ultimately Terrifying chase has no restrictions on where it can target other than the land must have one of your presence... thematically your chasing Invaders out of a land you have presence in. The App really helped me personally as I was also making lots of small seemingly insignificant mistakes which it highlighted. So overall if you like Spirit Island I've found the Steam version a very useful tool to really hone in on the finer rules questions.
I’m sure I made a mistake here and there, spirit island is quite a complex game with a lot going on. I don’t have access to steam unfortunately I wish I couldn’t or play it on my phone like an app version. Be good if there was some kind of helper app to keep track of things especially when your playing scenarios and adversaries. Have you seen the new Horizons of Spirit Island coming soon? Which is strangely Target stores exclusive for now…
@@manaburngaming7968 AFAIK Horizons is now coming to the EU/UK this year: Quote below by GTG: "After much communication with our partners at Target, we are very happy to announce that Horizons of Spirit Island will be distributed all across the world this winter. Our partnerships with international distributors will bring Horizons into retail stores outside of the United States, along with the new Foil Spirit Panels and the Deluxe Invaders Board. Make sure to head into your friendly local game store and ask for them to preorder Horizons and other accessories through their distributors in the coming months." So I suspect most will be buying it for the Spirits.. AFAIK the cards are the same but the language has been changed somewhat to make them easier to understand so maybe swapping out the relevant cards may be worthwhile? I think I will prefer the thick spirit boards over the new thin card versions and all the "old" spirits are available to preorder in the UK in the new thin formats also along with card sleeves to fit them. Personally I'd have preferred dual layer deluxe Spirit boards.
You might be right, trying watch back and remember. It could be that I needed presence there, either way I’m pretty sure it would of been a win overall in the end :)

Just watched that point and I think your right. I must of missed the range for that berserk card! Thanks! Love this Spirit so chaotic and powerful!

Hi. At 11:00 where you gather into the Wetlands I think this card needs to target a land where you have a Presence?

A tough game indeed. I think before I even go exploring for a good price on this I will first commit the rule book to memory.
Yeah not going to sugar coat it this game is quite a challenge to learn. Well worth it though!
