Surely taking into account of everything, asking for a 40 percent increase and working a 4 day week is on the conservative side. This would not even begin to reflect inflation and the stagnation of wages over the years. Also the motor companies are making so much money each year. What they ae asking for is the bare minimum. Not one step back.

Solidarity with the workers. The Corporations have not given the workers who make the profits a raise in decades while they give themselves raises and $5 Billion in corporate buybacks and they are already millionaires! They think the board of directors deserves the raises! Their workers live paycheck to paycheck, and cannot buy homes, or the cars they make. Their retired workers are struggling and are not getting cola. Unions are the reason workers have a weekend and 40 hour work week and that pregnant women and children aren't still working in coal mines for greedy corporations! Not until we get what we gave up in 2008 and what we’ve earned. Idrc about the 32hr work week, but everything else is completely reasonable. They could double our pay right now, leave prices the same, and still make insane profit. Now, they deserve to lose as much as possible until an agreement is made.

Who cares what the higher ups makes. What about everyone in the industry. You don't have to buy your own tools. You don't diagnose or do anything besides assemble. You're severely over paid for the work you do. Why do yall deserve more than anyone else in the industry

@bstims2506 even if you had to there's no way you have anywhere close to the tools and equipment your typical technician has to diagnose and work on these every day. You also don't diagnose and quiet frankly don't put out good parts anymore.

Companies did not come to the table till the last week before the strike. Fair pay for union workers is a very low priority in their business model. For me it's been 35 years of doom and gloom working underthe blue oval.

No Shawn its not the war of the working class or even the UAWs, its THE BIG 3S UAWs war! Union workers in this country are only a VERY VERY SMALL % of the working class and the senior big 3s UAW workers already make 10 to 15 more an hour then the REAL working class across the country. Even if we dont look at the non union working class there are many UAW workers at smaller supplier companys making 17 an hour and working 7 days a week non stop! I listen to all the cry babys talkiing about how hard there job is working in a big 3 plant, lol, thay havnt seen NOTHING compaired to other jobs across the country!!
